The reason behind Koratala Siva’s exit from Social Media

Director Koratala Siva’s decision to move away from social media has surprised everyone. The usually easy going director while not so active on social media used the platform to share the updates on his films. Neither did he engage in any discussions nor did he ever post any controversial takes. Hence, Koratala’s decision to close his social media accounts has surprised many.

According to reports, Koratala took this decision as he felt that he was not able to concentrate on his movies. The social media was proving to be quite a distraction for him. The director of late was quite busy with sharing SoS messages during Covid helping out netizens in need.

Koratala stated that all the announcements from his side will now directly be shared to the media. The director is currently busy with the filming of Acharya and is looking to finish it at the earliest. Post Acharya, he will next move on to direct NTR30.

Pushpa dubbing rights fetch record price

Expectations on Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa are mounting with each day. The movie is still in production and the filming will resume after the pandemic break. The pan-India action thriller will be releasing in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Reportedly, Pushpa dubbing rights for Hindi have gone for a whopping Rs 17.5 crores. The hype around the film’s Hindi version up north has been quite a revelation.

Pushpa is Sukumar and Allu Arjun’s 3rd movie after Arya and Arya 2. Mythri Movie Makers are producing this action drama and Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music. Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna play key roles in this film.

Ajay Devgn’s role in RRR revealed

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. With every single update, the expectations are rising on the film and so are theories. Now, a new inside report has been doing rounds that has given a new feel to the movie altogether.

According to a strong buzz, Ajay Devgn will be playing the role of the father of Komaram Bheem played by Jr NTR. While RRR is a fictional account of the fight for independence by Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, certain events and characters have been taken from real life.

In reality, Komaram Bheem’s father was a revolutionary as well. He was killed by the forest officials while asserting Adivasi rights. Bheem was just 15 years old when this incident took place and it played a huge role in shaping his revolutionary thoughts. After the death of his father, Bheem with his family shifted to Sardhapur village. From this point onwards Bheem took up the arms against the Nizams for the rights of the Gond people.

This new revelation has made the wait around the movie even more exciting. RRR’s shooting started earlier this week and Rajamouli is looking to finish the balance shoot at the earliest.

Star Maa bags 9 upcoming Tollywood biggies

Telugu premium entertainment channel Star Maa is readying a blockbuster lineup that is sure to shatter multiple TRP records in the coming days. The channel has reportedly acquired television rights of nearly all the upcoming Tollywood biggies.

Starting with the SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR, the channel also acquired rights for Super Star Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Additionally romantic entertainers such as Love Story and Most Eligible bachelor are also in the channel’s kitty. Balakrishna’s Akhanda, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, Maestro, Khiladi and Tuck Jagadish are some of the other films acquired by Star Maa.

Except for Nithiin’s Maestro, all the other films are post-theatrical deals. The channel is expected to announce many more films in the coming days.

Controversy over Vijay’s ‘Beast’

It’s been just a few days since the title announcement of Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film beast and already controversy has arisen. Vijay’s ‘Beast’ is one of the most awaited movies of Kollywood with fans eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of their star.

However, the title of the film seems to have driven the movie into slight controversy. The title ‘Beast’ has not gone well with certain sections and smaller political parties who have questioned the makers decision to go for an English title for the film.

Tamil film fraternity and people, in general, are quite known for their love for their mother tongue. In fact, there have been instances where the government has promoted and supported movies through tax exemptions that promoted language and culture.

In such an industry, Vijay, going for a non-Tamil title ‘Beast’ hasn’t gone down well with some sections. Incidentally, the actor’s last film ‘Master’ was also an English title. Earlier as well to avoid a similar situation Super Star Rajinikanth and Shankar’s movie was released as ‘Robo’ in all other languages but in Tamil, it released as ‘Enthiran’. It needs to be seen if the row grows bigger in the coming days or dies down.

Radhe Shyam final schedule starts today

Prabhas’ much-awaited romantic drama Radhe Shyam will begin its final leg of shoot in Hyderabad today. The movie’s shoot was halted due to the pandemic leaving some crucial scenes in balance. Director Radha Krishna wants to wrap up the shoot at the earliest with the makers aiming for an October release.

Pooja Hegde, who’s playing the lead role opposite Prabhas’ has also joined the shoot. Radhe Shyam makers are keeping their cards close to their chest and are in no mood for revealing anything except for the fact that it will be a huge surprise for Prabhas’ fans.

Radhe Shyam is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. UV Creations, the makers of the film are leaving no stone unturned to ensure best quality output. Recently it was reported that the makers and Prabhas were not happy with some portions of the film and had to reshoot it.

The romantic drama was set to hit the screens in July, but Covid second wave altered the plans and makers are looking for an October release.

Dil Raju eyes Bollywood, joins hands with Ajay Devgn

Ace Producer Dil Raju has decided to further strengthen his foothold in Bollywood. The producer will be teaming up with Ajay Devgn for the Hindi remake of this years’ critically acclaimed ‘Naandhi’. The courtroom drama which starred Allari Naresh in the lead role won great applause from the audience as well as the critics.

The film follows the journey of Surya Prakash (Allari Naresh) who has been wrongfully convicted of murder. Varalakshmi Sarthkumar played his lawyer in the film and her portrayal of Aadhya was also lauded by all.

Ajay Devgn will be producing the film under his banner ADF Films along with Dil Raju’s Dil Raju Productions. The Bollywood star took to Twitter to make the official announcement on the news.

Vijay Kanakamedala directed Naandhi while Satish Vegesna produced the film. The final starcast of the remake will be announced soon.

Meanwhile, Dil Raju is already involved in the remakes of Tollywood superhits Jersey and F2. Naandhi will be his third release.

Vaishnav Tej and Kirthi Shetty starrer Uppena emerged as a sleeper hit of the year and established many records during its run. The movie emerged as the highest grosser for a Tollywood debut hero and also brought many accolades for director Bucchi Babu Sana.

The movie continued its victorious run during its Television premiere and recorded a TRP rating of 18.51 during its first telecast. Now, the movie has achieved another massive record and recorded a TRP rating of 11.37 during its second telecast which is a massive rating in itself.

Mythri Movie Makers bankrolled this project and Devi Sri Prasad scored its music which was also a smashing success. Both Vaishav Tej and Kirthi Shetty along with director Buchi Babu Sana shot to fame after the success of Uppenna.

The actors are flooded with offers and are taking their time to finalize new projects. While Vaishnav will be next seen in an untitled Krish movie, Kirthy will be next seen in Nani starrer Shyam Singha Roy.

Suresh Babu forays into music industry with SP Music

Suresh Babu, one of the biggest producers in Tollywood and head of Suresh Productions has decided to enter into the music industry. Suresh Productions is one of the most well-known names in the industry with a rich history of more than 50 years.

The production giant posted the update on its twitter handle with the following caption.

“Carrying forward the legacy of cinema for over 50 years, Suresh Productions is pleased to launch the music label, Suresh Productions Music. SP Music aims to serve as a platform to produce refined music, and become an undaunted musical powerhouse.”

The production house will now directly produce music both for movies as well as independent artists. Of late Suresh Productions has produced many smaller and content driven films. It needs to be seen if SP Music carries the legacy forward.

Chiranjeevi looking to resolve the issue

While the theatres are opening up after the pandemic, the producers and exhibitors still have another challenge- the ticket prices. In the month of April, the Andhra Pradesh government issued orders which put a slab on the ticket rates as per the theatre’s locations. Tollywood producers have expressed serious concerns over this G.O. Now, as per reports Megastar Chiranjeevi is planning to take up the matter directly with AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy.

This year, Tollywood is going to witness a number of big-ticket films, and producers and distributors are really counting on them to pull them out of the lean patch brought in by lockdown. However, If this situation continues to prevail, a number of Tollywood biggies will have to struggle really hard to recover their investment with the government-established ticket prices.

The recent positive Twitter interaction between Chiranjeevi and Jaganmohan Reddy over vaccination drive in the state has led to strong buzz over the two meeting. According to the reports, Chiranjeevi will meet the AP CM in July 1st week or the second week over the ticket prices.

It will be interesting to see how the Chief Minister reacts considering he recently asked his ministers and aides that no discussion on this issue will be entertained.
