Kannappa gets a new Release Date

Kannappa, the dream project of Manchu Vishnu, was all set to be released in theaters this April end. However, due to the delay in VFX, the film’s theatrical release date was postponed. Now, the latest news is that Kannappa has a new release date.

The makers officially announced that the film would be released in theaters worldwide on June 27, 2025. The film produced a good hype when it was announced, and though the teasers did not work as big as the team expected, the songs worked well.

Trailer of Tamannaah’s upcoming film, Odela 2 was released the trailer on YouTube yesterday. The Trailer showed the Actress turning fierce in the role of Shiva Shakthi fighting against evil. Directed by Ashok Teja, the film is a sequel to Odela Railway Station which released in 2022.

Noted Tollywood Director, Sampath Nandi provided the story and screenplay for the film besides being the Director in Supervision. The film has Music composed by Ajaneesh Loknath and his score for the Trailer also sounded divine. The response for the Trailer has been promising and the team has already begun the promotional activities.

Odela 2 will release on April 17th and this is a good opportunity for Tamannaah since the film is her solo starrer after a long time. She also looked to have delivered a fine performance in the film. So, let’s see how the film results at the box office.

Akhil’s next titled Lenin, Glimpse released

Tollywood Actor Akhil Akkineni’s next film has been titled Lenin. The Glimpse of the film was also released on YouTube on the occasion of Akhil’s birthday. The film showed the Actor in a rugged and Massy avatar, a first of its kind for him. Happening Actress, Sree Leela is also playing the female lead in the film.

Akhil has been badly waiting for a blockbuster for years. His last venture, Agent became a miserable failure and Lenin seems to have all the possibilities of giving him a break. Ajith’s latest action drama, Good Bad Ugly, is being released in theaters tomorrow. The film’s teaser created a huge craze among audiences, and the trade expected it to be a massive comeback film for the star. However, Good Bad Ugly Advance Bookings are strong in Tamil Nadu but weak in other states.

As said above, GBU’s teaser received a roaring response, but the recently released trailer fell flat, and the songs also did not work that great. Because of all these reasons, the film is trending like a regular Ajith film in advance bookings.

Good Bad Ugly: Solid Advances in Tamil Nadu

Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly advance bookings are strong in Tamil Nadu but weak in other states. AK’s films always start superbly in Tamil Nadu, and in the rest of the territories, he is always behind Vijay and Rajinikanth.

The same thing is seen for Good Bad Ugly’s advances as well. In Tamil Nadu, the movie is carrying 14 Cr+ in pre-bookings for opening day, and it is set for Ajith’s career’s biggest opening with 30 Cr+ gross. So, the film is all set for a super strong opening in its homeland.

The Other States’ Advances are Poor for Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly

But in the Karnataka, Kerala, and Telugu states, the advance bookings are very low, and all the rest of India’s territories’ advances are just at 2 Cr. With this, the total all-India advance sales are at 16 Cr, while the overseas number is at 4 Cr. The total advance sales for the film are at 20 Cr. 

Looking at the trend, the trade expects GBU to take around 50 Cr at the box office on day 1, which is not very high as Vidaamuyarchi itself opened with a similar kind of start. Good/positive WOM may be able to bring big numbers at the box office for the film.
