0

Priyanka Chopra was hailed as one of the top actresses in Bollywood, and a few years back, the actress got married and moved to Hollywood. She acted in a few Hollywood films in recent years and did not do any Indian films. Now, after joining SSMB29, Priyanka Chopra is getting busier in Indian cinema again.

Priyanka Chopra getting good offers after SSMB29

After a big gap, the actress selected Mahesh Babu-Rajamouli’s international project for her Indian cinema return. She had already joined the shooting a few months back, and this film led her to get more big films.

According to the reports, the actress is also said to be in talks for Atlee – Allu Arjun’s film, which was also an international film recently announced. Another project is Krrish 4, the big franchise in Bollywood. All these are mega-budget projects, and Priyanka Chopra seems to be getting busy in Indian cinema again after SSMB29, and all are massive films.

About Priyanka Chopra’s Earlier Career

Priyanka made her acting debut in the Tamil movie Thamizhan in 2002, and then she appeared in her first Bollywood film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, in 2003. She starred as the main female lead in the successful films Andaaz in 2003 and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi in 2004. Her big break came with her role in the romantic thriller Aitraaz, which was released in 2004.

Bad Fortune for Hari Hara Veera Mallu Producer

0

Hari Hara Veera Mallu producer AM Ratnam wanted to do a very big film with Pawan Kalyan and started the film amidst massive craze. However, the film faced numerous issues in its filming, and it is yet to be completed. The industry circles feel that it is all bad fortune for Hari Hara Veera Mallu Producer.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Shooting Faces Many Problems

Even though Ratnam’s intentions are very big, his fortune is not in his favor, as the film sees many issues like budget problems, delays in shooting due to Pawan Kalyan’s political career, and reshoots along with a director change. The film also was divided into two parts.

Finally, after all the hurdles, the team locked 9th May as the release date, and Pawan Kalyan was expected to join the shoot at this period to complete it, but now due to the unfortunate incident that happened to Pawan Kalyan’s son Mark Shankar (a fire accident), again impacts the shooting.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu May 9th Release: Still Possible, but will it Happen?

It looks like a bad fortune for Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu Producer. Now, AM Ratnam is reportedly facing high pressure from Prime Video, the OTT giant that bought the digital rights already and is unhappy with multiple postponements of the film.

If the movie gets postponed from 9th May, then the OTT giant, Prime Video, might step back from the film, which will bring a big burden for the producer financially. We need to see how all these things are sorted out. There’s just less than a month left until the release date.

Jaat Opens with Half of Producer’s Expectations

0

Jaat, starring Sunny Deol, is produced by Mythri Movies and People Media Factory and directed by Gopichand Malineni. Amidst good box office expectations, the film was released in theaters and opened to a decent response. JAAT opens with half of the producer’s expectations.

Sunny Deol’s JAAT opens to a Modest Start at the Box Office

The producers officially said that they are expecting a 20 Cr+ start for the film, but Sunny Deol’s JAAT opens with half of the producers’ expectations. The early trade reports suggest that the film will open with a 9-10 Cr range net in India, which is a modest start for the film.

JAAT expected to take a good jump over the weekend

Sunny Deol is a big star at mass belts where the movie opens well, whereas the main money spinners like cities and plexes see below-par occupancies, which impacted the opening of the film.

The positive sign is the film received a good response from mass belts and is expected to see a growth over the weekend. For the budget the makers have spent, the action film should do the 150 Cr range in India in the full run.

JAAT Movie Review: A Regular Action Drama

0

Movie Name: JAAT
Rating: 2.5/5
Cast:
Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Regina Cassandra, and Saiyami Kher
Director: Gopichand Malineni
Produced By:
People Media Factory, Mythri Movie Makers
Release Date: 10th April 2025

Directed by Telugu Director Gopichand Malineni, JAAT is the latest action entertainer starring Sunny Deol in the lead role. The film’s teaser and trailer received good response, and it arrived in theaters worldwide today. Let’s check how the movie ended up.

Story:

For years, Ranatunga (Randeep Hooda) and his brother Somulu (Viineet Kumar Singh) have terrorized villages. Even his wife Bharathi (Regina Cassandra) and mother are complicit in his reign of fear. The story brings in Sunny Deol, withholding his character’s identity for most of the film. The rest of the film is all about the confrontation between the Hero and Villain.

Performances:

Sunny Deol matches the title role nicely and creates a good effect. He brings value to the film through his screen presence alone. Randeep Hooda embodies a terrifying antagonist. Viineet Kumar Singh, Regina Cassandra and Saiyammi Kher are fine, while Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Ravi Shankar and Murali Sharma have little to do.

Analysis:

From the beginning, Gopichand Malineni’s JAAT goes all out. It favors being loud instead of subtle. The first half’s screenplay is impressively detailed. The way a minor incident leads the Hero to take on the villain’s gang, the backstory of the villain come effectively. The lead-up to the interval episode is excellent, and the initial encounter between Hero and Villain is fantastic.

The second half struggles with too many plot points, losing its earlier momentum. Well-intentioned social messages, references from the real incidents, and women empowerment ideas overwhelm the screenplay. The climax is decent.

Positives:

  • First Half’s Screenplay
  • Hero – Villain First Meet Episode
  • Fights

Negatives:

  • Overboard Sentiment Scenes
  • Second Half Lags
  • Excessive Violence

JAAT Movie Review and Verdict:

Sunny Deol’s JAAT is an out-and-out loud action ride. Fast pacing and action sequences help the film, while predictability and excessive sentimentality/violence hurt it. However, it remains enjoyable for mass movie lovers.

Good Bad Ugly Movie Review: Ajith’s One Man Show

0

Movie Name: Good Bad Ugly
Rating: 2.75/5
Cast:
Ajith Kumar, Trisha, Arjun Das, Sunil, Prabhu and others
Director: Adhik Ravichandran
Produced By:
Mythri Movie Makers
Release Date: 10th April 2025

Ajith Kumar’s latest action comedy, titled “Good Bad Ugly”. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film raised good curiosity among his fans. Though the other language bookings are not that great, the film’s ticket sales are good in Tamil Nadu. Let’s check whether the content of the film can satisfy everyone.

Story:

Good Bad Ugly tells the story of AK, a dominant don who sacrifices his criminal ways for his family and promises a comeback at when his son is 18. To save his child in crisis, AK goes back to being a don and solves the problem. This is the story’s core idea.

Performances:

Ajith takes on the role of Don, Red Dragon AK, showing up in most scenes. He excels at displaying style and swag in every scene. The role offers little depth for him as an actor, only in select scenes. Trisha plays the female lead and AK’s wife in the film and she’s fine.Sunil, Rahul Dev, KGF Avinash, Yogi Babu, Prasanna, along with veteran actors Prabhu and Simran are okay. Arjun Das stands out as the villain.

Analysis:

Adhik Ravichandran, a devoted Ajith fan, directs Good Bad Ugly. This script is simple and predictable, with no unexpected twists. The director fills up the film with slow-motion shots and scenes that elevate the hero. He makes an impact despite the clichéd narrative style. The first half delivers a solid setup with the hero’s intro and unfolding events. The family dynamic works well but lacks impact. The interval episode is superb with perfect staging and the latter half also follows the strategy of elevating the Hero to the skies and though the screenplay becomes repetitive, it ends with a suitable climax.

Positives:

  • Ajith’s Stylish Screen Presence
  • Mass/Elevation Scenes
  • Background Music and Visuals

Negatives:

  • Predictable Plot
  • Thin Emotional Connection
  • Few Dragged Parts in the Second Half

Good Bad Ugly Movie Review and Verdict:

Director Adhik Ravichandran delivers excellent fan service for Ajith in Good Bad Ugly. The film has entertaining scenes but lacks a strong story and emotional depth. Still, it serves as an engaging watch.

Vishwambhara Release Date Locked Finally

0

The highly anticipated film ‘Vishwambhara’, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, is officially slated to hit theatres on July 24, 2025. This date holds a special place in Telugu cinema as it marks the anniversary of Chiranjeevi’s iconic 2002 blockbuster ‘Indra’, a film that remains a milestone in his illustrious career. By choosing this date, the makers aim to recreate that legendary magic on screen.
Adding to the excitement, the makers have planned a special event for the release of the first single from ‘Vishwambhara’. The song, which features Chiranjeevi, will be launched near the sacred Paritala Anjaneya Swamy statue on April 12, 2025, aligning with the celebration of ‘Hanuman Jayanti’. This symbolic gesture reflects the film’s spiritual undertones and promises a visually divine experience.
Directed by ‘Malladi Vasishta’ and produced by UV Creations, ‘Vishwambhara’ is touted as a fantasy-action entertainer with powerful themes of spirituality and high-end VFX. With an ensemble cast including ‘Trisha Krishnan’, ‘Kunal Kapoor’, and ‘Ashika Ranganath’, the film aims to captivate audiences across generations. With such grand planning and storytelling, ‘Vishwambhara’ is shaping up to be a landmark film in Chiranjeevi’s career.

Jack Movie Review: A Big Misfire

0

Movie Name: Jack
Rating: 2/5
Cast:
Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, Prakash Raj, Naresh, and others
Director: Bommarillu Bhaskar
Produced By:
B.V.S.N Prasad
Release Date: 10th April 2025

Siddhu Jonnalagadda rose to fame with DJ Tillu stars in “Jack”, directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. The film’s songs and trailer did not receive much hype, but there are decent expectations for it because of Siddhu. Let’s find out whether the film lived up to those expectations.

Story:

Jack follows the story of an ambitious young man who aspires to join the RAW forces to become a frontline warrior for his country. The narrative focuses on the reason for him to join the RAW, the challenges he faces in the path and how he saves the land in the end.

Performances:

Siddu Jonnalagadda’s portrayal of Jack resembles his work in the Tillu series. He has a few amusing scenes that leave a good impact, yet we struggle to relate to his character as it seems more silly than interesting, and the emotional backstory also lacks depth. Vaishnavi Chaitanya does well, but her chemistry with Siddu appears lackluster and draws no impact. Prakash Raj plays his usual role adequately. Naresh, Brahmaji, Subbaraju, Ravi Prakash, and Rahul Dev give their standard performances

Analysis:

Bhaskar, known as Bommarilu Bhaskar, directs Jack. This time, he works with the energetic Siddhu Janalgadda. He narrates a standard, old-fashioned RAW agent tale featuring an erratic protagonist. The story required a fresh approach, blending entertainment with emotion. However, Bhaskar falls short of delivering the output. Other than a couple of laughs, the film remains hopeless in both halves. The RAW agent mission seems too casual given the seriousness of the terrorist threat. The Nepal episode also disappoints, and the film only finds its rhythm at the end, but it’s too late by then.

Positives:

  • Few Comedy Parts
  • Scenes Towards Climax

Negatives:

  • Silly/Irritating Narration
  • Amateurish Hero Character
  • Senseless Handling of Serious Issues

Jack Movie Review and Verdict:

Jack, an ambitious spy action comedy, misses the mark and provides only a few laughs. The film’s attempt at seriousness falls flat, making it tedious for audiences. Even Siddhu Jonnalagadda cannot save this film with his energy.

Kollywood Lacks Big Stars

0

A few years back, Kollywood used to lead South Indian Cinema, and their domination was evident with their movies crossing boundaries, whereas Telugu Cinema, at that time, was sticking to regional markets. Now, over the years, the tables have turned, and Kollywood lacks big stars to show their dominance.

Rajamouli changed the perception of Telugu movies with the Baahubali series, and after that, Telugu stars started to emerge as pan-Indian stars, whereas Kollywood now lacks big stars.

Kollywood Stars Trail Behind Tollywood Stars at Pan Indian Box Office

Because the current generation stars of Tamil cinema have not created their presence in Bollywood markets yet, and their regional big star, Vijay, is retiring from films. Ajith has a big market in Tamil Nadu, but in the rest of the markets, he is still seeing struggles as he does not have a good market in other languages.

Kollywood Stars: Except Rajinikanth, No One has Pan Indian Market

Suriya and Vikram are also struggling in a very big way. Superstar Rajinikanth is still having a great market, but his age does not support him in all kinds of films, while Kamal Haasan is a known star in all languages, but he is not consistent at the box office.

So Kollywood producers do not believe that their stars are capable of pulling 600, 700 Cr budget films. Whereas in Telugu, the producers are in queue to spend bigger budgets for stars, and the movies are not only limited to Telugu, but they are making them at a pan-India level.

Now, Prabhas, Mahesh, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, and NTR’s films are all being made with big budgets. Even the Kollywood directors and producers are aiming to make films with Telugu heroes due to the pan-Indian factor.

Mythri Movie Makers risking it with NTRNeel and Peddi

0

Mythri Movie Makers is currently producing two of the most prestigious projects of Tollywood. One is NTRNeel starring NTR directed by Prashanth Neel and the other is Peddi starring Ram Charan directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The release dates of these films are out now, and it looks like the Production House is risking it completely.

Peddi is planned for release on March 27th and NTRNeel on April 9th according to the sources. This is not a great idea considering the span of these projects. Both the films are being made with a huge budget and having a gap of 2 weeks for release may not justify the prospects. This will badly impact the long run of the films.

Peddi and NTRNeel also target Pan India markets, and this move will damage the revenue of the films in those markets. The Production House should opt for a gap of 3-4 weeks between the films’ release dates. Netizens also demand Mythri Movie Makers to change this plan and come up with a new release date.

Currently, NTRNeel shoot is progressing at a fast pace and the team has also announced NTR will join the shoot on April 22nd. On the other hand, Peddi’s Glimpse which released on Sri Rama Navami shattered the previous records on YouTube. The film raised the hype and expectations of the film to sky-high.
