Mythri Strikes Gold with Jaat 2 Plan

0

Mythri Movie Makers is one of the top production houses that has a vision in filmmaking. The banner has achieved the top position within a few years because of its approach. The production house debuted in Bollywood with Sunny Deol’s JAAT. Now, Mythri strikes gold with the Jaat 2 Plan.

The team of Mythri plans things for the future with a perfect vision, and if we see their maiden Bollywood venture, Jaat, it is doing well at the box office. However, the film’s performance at the theaters is just about good, and the revenue might not be enough for the budget the producers have put in.

There are also chances of the producers ending up with some amount of loss with this film. But they have announced a sequel to the film. The official announcement of JAAt’s sequel was made earlier today.

Mythri strikes gold with Jaat 2 Plan. It is widely known that sequels always work big at the box office, and the business will also be huge. Mythri Movie Makers can get bigger profits with the sequel.

The second part of the Sunny Deol starrer will focus on a fresh mission for the lead character, with the makers assuring that the scale of action will be larger and more intense this time around. Jaat 2 will again be directed by Gopichand Malineni. Mythri Movie Makers, in collaboration with People Media Factory, will finance this second part as well.

Odela 2 Movie Review: A Regular Thriller With Some High Parts

0

Movie Name: Odela 2
Rating: 2.5/5
Cast:
Tamannaah Bhaita, Vasishta N. Simha, Hebah Patel, Murali Sharma, and others
Director: Ashok Teja
Produced By:
D. Madhu, Sampath Nadhi
Release Date: 17th April 2025

Tamannaah Bhatia, famous for her glamorous performances, takes on the role of Shivashakti in the supernatural thriller Odela 2, which has been released in theaters today, April 17, 2025, in several languages. Starring Vasishta Simha and Hebah Patel in crucial roles, the film is written and produced by Sampath Nandi and directed by Ashok Teja. Let’s explore the making of this movie in our review.

Story:

Odela 2′ continues the story from ‘Odela Railway Station’ set in Odela village. In Odela village, Tirupathi abducts newly married girls and kills them until his wife Radha beheads him, leading to her imprisonment. The villagers avoid traditional rituals for Tirupathi’s remains. They practice Samadhi Shiksha without burning it. Tirupathi’s spirit reemerges and hunts down newly married women on their first night in the village again. The villagers ask Bhairavi (Tamannah), a Naga Sadhu, to rescue them from the chaos caused by Tirupathi’s spirit. How are Bhairavi and Odela village related? How does she save the village from Tirupathi’s soul? The rest of the film answers the questions.

Performances:

Tamannaah often appears as a glamor icon. In Odela 2, she portrays a Naga Sadhu effectively. Vashishtha Simha delivers a convincing performance as Tirupathi. The other actors like Hebah Patel, Murali Sharma, and Srikanth Iyengar are fine.

Analysis:

The battle of evil versus divine power has been used many times in films. Sampath Nandi and his team aimed to create this sequel using a winning formula. The film begins well and includes some captivating moments. The suffering of villagers and the reason for it are well established. Tamannaah’s introduction in the interval episode impresses. However, in the second half, the film doesn’t maintain its pace. The narration or scenes seem similar to Arundhat(2009). The way Tirupathi’s soul learns black magic and becomes stronger is not shown effectively. All the movies so far show that souls are scared to step into the temple. But Tirupathi’s soul shows up at the temple just like that in this film, which defies the logic.

The emotional death of a key character enhances the pre-climax and sets up the climax effectively. Although the fight between Tirupathi and Bhairavi lacks impact at the climax, Lord Shiva appears to rescue it. Overall, Odela 2’s makers focused on formulaic elements, but they could have achieved greater quality in terms of content.

Positives:

  • Tamannaah and Vasishta Simha’s Performance
  • First Half
  • Lord Shiva’s Scene at the end

Negatives:

  • Weak Second Half
  • Lacks the Required High Moments
  • Logic Defying Scenes

Odela 2 Movie Review and Verdict:

Odela 2 is a mixed bag. Along with Tamannaah and Vasishta Simha’s performance, the first half, a few thrilling scenes and background score work for it. The weak and predictable tone in the second half works against it.

Guru’s flop, Shishya’s hit

0

The two recent Bollywood biggies directed by South Indian directors are Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and directed by Tamil director A.R. Murugadoss, and Jaat, starring Sunny Deol and directed by Telugu director Gopichand Malineni. An interesting point here is that Murugadoss and Gopichand Malineni share a guru-shishya (mentor-disciple) relationship.

Gopichand Malineni worked as an assistant director under Murugadoss during the time of Stalin. Now, both of their films released with just a 10-day gap, resulting in a clash. In this clash, the guru Murugadoss delivered a flop, as Sikandar ended up being a huge disaster, whereas the shishya Gopichand Malineni scored a decent success with Jaat.

Jaat collected over ₹55 crore in India in its first week and is maintaining a steady run on weekdays. It is expected to reach ₹100 crore in its full run.

With Sikandar, Murugadoss received heavy criticism. Many felt that his prime was over, and his last chance for a comeback now lies with the Sivakarthikeyan film. On the other hand, Gopichand Malineni has established a decent name in Bollywood as well with Jaat. He is currently in talks with Balakrishna for his next directorial venture.

Perusu Movie Review: A Hilarious Ride with Unusual Premise

0

Movie: Perusu
Rating: 2.75/5
Cast: Vaibhav, Sunil Reddy, Niharika NM, Chandini Tamilarasan, Bala Saravanan and others
Director: Ilango Ram
Producer: Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, Harman Baweja, Hiranya Perera
Streaming On: Netflix

Perusu, the adult comedy starring Vaibhav and Sunil Reddy, premiered on Netflix this week. The film can be streamed in Tamil, Telugu, and other languages. Read our Review to find the film’s outcome.

Story:

Halasyam, a beloved member of the community, passes away suddenly in unclear circumstances. Sami, his older son, observes something odd about the death. Over time, his brother, other family members, and their wives and mother discover the odd truth. They decide to hide it from the outsiders. What is the story behind Halasyam’s death? What bizarre finding did his family encounter? Why does the family desperately want to keep this secret? Details unfold slowly in the movie.

Performances:

Vaibhav and Sunil Reddy, real-life brothers, enhance the film with their authentic sibling dynamic. Vaibhav convincingly plays the laid-back younger son, and Sunil Reddy stands out as the elder son focused on his reputation. The presence of supporting actors Niharika NM, Chandini Tamilarasan, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, and Redin Kingsley is notable.

Analysis:

Perusu, an adult comedy, relies on situational humor that succeeds in many areas. The characters’ ridiculous situations make viewers laugh. That awkward comedy style works well. The film strikes a real and relatable tone. The conduct of neighbors and relatives during a funeral is depicted well. Ilango Ram showcases a bold style and unique tone, yet the screenplay could improve in its latter half.

The director grasps the story’s niche and includes humor, but because of the thin plot, the narration feels lengthy at times. But that feeling stays for a while only, and the introduction of a surprise character during the climax injects humor and leads to a happy ending.

Positives:

  • Unusual and Quirky Plot
  • Performances
  • Comedy

Negatives:

  • Loses the grip for a while
  • Stretched feel at a few places

Perusu Movie Review and Verdict:

Perusu is a hilarious movie with an unusual tone. The film features great performances from Vaibhav and Sunil Reddy, packed with funny scenes. Despite its slow pace and narrow appeal, dark comedy fans can enjoy it.

Young actress Annie excels in her role, especially in emotional scenes like the climax. Sairam shines with his humor.

Analysis:

A number of new films and web series take place in the 90s. Home Town resonates with 90s kids because of its backdrop. The initial episodes blend fun and emotion effectively. With only five episodes, Home Town feels somewhat repetitive due to influences from recent shows like #90s. The fourth episode slows down, while the fifth underwhelms. The emotional exchange in the climax with Rajeev Kanakala and Prajwal could have been stronger

Positives:

  • Performances
  • First Three Episodes
  • Few Good Dialogues/Scenes

Negatives:

  • Repetitive Moments
  • Lack of Strong Emotions

Home Town Web Series Review and Verdict:

Home Town is an average web series with some well-placed entertaining moments. While the comedy and performances engage viewers, the series slows down over time. The climax is fine. The series can be enjoyed if watched without many expectations.

Can HIT 3 provide the much-needed Pan-Indian Success for Nani?

So, theatrically, Nani is still awaiting a pan-Indian hit, and we need to see whether HIT 3 will provide the much-needed success for the actor. So there is a chance for film to attract Kerala audiences if WOM is positive.
