What Game Changer and Hari Hara Veera Mallu Failures Teach Big Producers

0

Ram Charan’s Game Changer and Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu are two biggies released this year. Unfortunately, Game Changer and Hari Hara Veera Mallu emerge as big failures and teach a big lesson to the producers.

As said above, both films’ producers are facing losses of over 100 Cr due to budgets exceeding the original plan. In most cases, Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan, and other big stars’ films keep producers in a safe zone, even with similar box office results.

Delayed Shooting Hurt Game Changer and Hari Hara Veera Mallu

However, the above-mentioned two movies serve as a lesson for big-budget filmmakers. Both movies were on sets for longer times due to many reasons, and both movies also had reshoots and long working days.

Because of such confusion in the shooting stage, many scenes in both films got trimmed due to excessive runtime. That is why Ram Charan’s Game Changer and Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s failures teach a big lesson to the producers.

NTR fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of War 2, their favorite hero’s upcoming biggie. But they have an unexpected issue in the meantime. The NTR-Balakrishna rift worries Nandamuri fans.

It is a known fact that there are some differences between Balakrishna and NTR, and Kalyan Ram. It’s been publicly seen many times, and this issue has risen again. Since last night, there has been a online war between both fan groups.

NTR’s Speech at War 2 Event brings a Rift between NTR and Balakrishna Fans

Normally, there was no need for NTR to mention Balakrishna at the War 2 pre-release event, but NTR spoke about his 25-year journey, recalling it from the beginning, and did not mention the name of his uncle.

Even Balakrishna is also doing the same, and we can see him not mention the names of NTR and Kalyan Ram even when there is an opportunity. These disputes are continuously hurting Nandamuri fans, who want to see Babai and Abbayi together on all stages like before.

Particularly, at the release time of War 2, the NTR–Balakrishna rift worries Nandamuri fans, as theyy do not want any disturbance at such a crucial juncture.

Till now, the sequel to War carried a low buzz, which was reflected in its advance bookings. This is mainly due to the promotional content of the film not being up to the mark.

But the positive sign is that the War 2 inside report is positive. NTR takes a biggest risk at his career peak by signing a Bollywood-style film and if report reflects in WOM, then his risk will return big rewards

The Bollywood trade and media circles say that War 2 is not only filled with action elements, but it is also said to have a strong story and emotions as well.

Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom was released in theaters amidst good expectations, but the film failed to perform well despite getting decent reviews from audiences and critics. The Kingdom fails to achieve break-even.

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film had a breakeven target of 90 Cr gross, and it has collected around 75 Cr gross till now, which is almost closing for the film. So, it means Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom fails to achieve break-even.

Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom: Big Openings—Huge Fall After Weekend

The film opens extraordinarily well with the biggest opening for Vijay’s career, but due to the Mahavatar Narsimha wave, the film sees a big impact in the first weekend itself, and after the weekend, the film crashes on weekdays and does not pick up even on the second weekend.

With two major releases scheduled for this Thursday—War 2 and Coolie—it is safe to assume that the Kingdom film has reached the end of its run.

The Kingdom fails to achieve break-even

With an overall recovery of 80%, the film ended up with below-average status, and the film failed to achieve break-even status in all territories; buyers ended up facing around 20% – 25% losses.

War 2 Hindi Advance Sales Struggle

0

The Telugu pre-release event for War 2 took place last night, where NTR, Hrithik Roshan, and other unit members spoke highly of the film, much to the excitement of fans. However, War 2 Hindi advance sales still continue to struggle.

War 2 Overseas advance bookings opened a few days back, with both Telugu and Hindi versions having slower advance bookings. Understandably, the Telugu version will be slow, as the Spy series does not have any following in the Telugu market.

Also, at the same time, the clash with Coolie also impacts War’s sequel in a big way. But the Hindi version’s low advance bookings are a shocker to everyone.

In India, the advance bookings opened on Saturday evening, and the initial trend in India is also not impressive for now. The film sells around 25K tickets in national chains, which is nowhere near the trend of films like Jawan, Pathaan, Pushpa 2, Tiger 3, and Animal.

Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s War 2 Hindi advance sales still continue to struggle, and they are even lower than this year’s releases, Sikandar, Saiyaara, and Chhaava.

The Hindi version has initial expectations of 50 Cr – 55 Cr opening net, but at the current trend, the opening is likely to be in the range of 30 Cr, and if the momentum picks up highly in these 3 days and if the movie receives unanimous positive WOM, then it may take a 40 Cr+ opening.

Athadu 4K Buyer Faces Losses

0

Mahesh Babu’s Athadu had a good opening upon its re-release and recorded the 5th highest opening number for a re-released film. However, because of its huge business, the Athadu 4K buyer faces losses now.

When it comes to re-releases in Telugu cinema, undoubtedly, Mahesh Babu is the biggest star, and there was a huge demand for his classic film, Athadu.

Naturally, a big competition happened for the rights, and the rights were sold for a sensational price of 3.2 Cr for a one-year validation period. Including expenses, the total cost is around 3.5 Cr for the buyer.

Mahesh Babu’s Athadu 4K Buyer in Loss

If the film had been released in normal circumstances, then it could have easily collected the required number for break-even. But unfortunately it falls in a bad period as multiple biggies are coming at the same period, so audiences did not show much interest in this film.

Athadu Re-Release Rights are valid for one-year period, so the buyer can release it again

Mahesh Babu’s Athadu 4K buyer faces losses now. The film’s break-even target is 7 Cr+ gross, and it collected around 5 Cr gross in 2 days, and this is almost the closing number for the film. The buyer is said to lose around 1 Cr with this.

The only positive sign is that the buyer has some more months’ time to recover this. After a few months’ gap, if Athadu 4K re-releases again and if it makes some money at the box office, then the buyer will be in a comfortable zone.
