Theatre owners killing movies, RRR drops in B,C centers because of high ticket prices

RRR had a massive start at Box-office and theatre owners are continuing the flat rates/ hike for even Day 2 which is affecting the B & C centers. There is no major effect in A centers but in other centers, the film is witnessing huge drops in footfalls for Day 2 noon shows. The final numbers will be bigger because of huge ticket price but footfalls will be lesser than recent biggies, Akhanda, Pushpa and Bheemla Nayak which is not good for cinema.

Theatre owners should understand how to put a ticket price in most centers for all the seats in theatres. They are applying the same price for all and audience are not liking this. Generally audience expect a less price for several classes. But theatre owners applying same rates is not good. This kills the repeat value and also the interest. This is also one of the reasons why AP government came up with reduced ticketing prices.

Theatre owners must also understand the equations. If such movie rates prevail, people will naturally wait for the OTT release which is not at all good. Hope they understand this. RRR team must also look into this issue and resolve such incidents.

Hats off MahaRajamouli, tweeted shankar after watching RRR. Shankar, one of the greatest directors of South and also India looks very much impressed by RRR. Rajamouli who is riding high with the success of his Bahubali has come up with RRR. He roped in two of the biggest stars of Telugu Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. He planned this project also on a Pan-India level. The film released yesterday amidst great hype and is ruling the box-office.

RRR already crossed 100 cr share worldwide on it’s opening day which is a huge record. Star power of both heroes is helping the film big time. Many celebrities watching the film coming up with praising tweets in their own style. Sukumar, one of the directors came up with a warm note saying no one can come close to Rajamouli. Many other directors too are giving rave reviews and appreciating him alot. Director Shankar has joined the list now.

Shankar who closely observes the work of Rajamouli is very impressed by RRR. He said that the film was Ravishing, Riveting and Robust. He congratulated both Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. What surprised everyone is his calling Rajamouli as “MahaRajamouli” Rajamouli is yet to respond on this tweet. Shankar is currently doing film with Ram Charan.

Actor Aadhi Pinnisetty is all set to marry Tamil co-star Nikki Galrani pretty soon. The couple got engaged in a private ceremony that was attended only by their close ones. Aadhi and Nikki have been dating for a couple of years.

The rumours about the couple became stronger when Nikki was spotted at Aadhi’s father Ravi Raja Pinnisetty’s birthday bash recently. The couple has appeared together in films like Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka, Marakathamani. Nikki is yet to act in a straight Telugu film and primarily appears in Tami and Malayalam films.

Aadhi on the other hand is quite a popular face in Tollywood. He made his debut in Teja’s Oka V Chitram and has appeared in big-ticket films like Rangasthalam and Sarrainodu among many others. He was last seen in Telugu in Keerthy Suresh’s Good Luck Sakhi and sports drama Clap.

Nikki is the younger sister of actress Sanjana Galrani who appeared in Tollywood films like Bujjigadu, Sardar Gabbar Singh, and others.

Karan Johar hosting the trailer launch event of KGF 2

Ace Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar will be hosting the much-awaited trailer release event of Rocking Star Yash’s KGF 2. The much-awaited KGF 2 trailer launch will take place on March 27th in Bangalore.

Producer Vijay Kiragandur had earlier last week hinted that a big Bollywood personality would be associated with the event. “The trailer is going to be our biggest event where people from across the industries will be attending. We are in talks with a big Bollywood personality to host the event,” he said last week before Karan Johar was officially confirmed.

The hype around KGF 2 is surreal and the fans are eager to catch the mass actions scenes featuring Rocky Bhai. The teaser that released early last year already gave fas what to expect. The teaser’s response was amazing and it went viral immediately and has registered 245 million views so far. Something similar is expected out of the film.

Raveena Tandon, Sanjay Dutt, Anant Nag, Prakash Raj, and Srinidhi Shetty among others. Prashant Neel is the director of the movie and Hombale Films have produced the movie. Ravi Basrur is the music director of the film. The film is scheduled for a grand release on April 14th in theatres.

The makers of KGF 2 are looking to release the film in a whopping 6000 screens in India. Vijay’s Beast will release on the same day and its definitely going to be an incredible feat if Hombale Films manage this.

Much Hyped and most awaited film of the year RRR finally arrived in theatres today. The pre release business is exceptional and huge opening day numbers are awaited. With the promotions , the expectations on the movie reached sky high. RRR has crossed all the expectations and had terrific start at Box office. With the biggest ever release, A record opening in Telugu states is expected.

The movie also registers Strongest opening in All languages. The evening and night shows are Terrific in all languages. 70Cr share in Telugu states , More than Double digit opening in Tamil Nadu , 15Cr+ gross in Karnataka, 2.5Cr+ gross in Kerala and 18Cr net in Hindi is expected.

The film is released widely all over the world. So even overseas records are expected. With the release it has, 8M+ is expected in Overseas on Day1. The film is expected to cross Baahubali2 opening day collections. We have to wait for the official numbers to declare it. Baahubali2 has collected 210Cr+ gross on Day1 and RRR has all the chances to beat this opening.

Sukumar direction amazed us, Sukumar writings thrilled us. Sukumar’s talent always excites us. He is one of the creative directors in our Tollywood. So it is always good to see if one talented person praises or notices other’s work.

Sukumar and Rajamouli always appreciate one another. It is been constant turnover for Sukumar and Rajamouli. Whenever Sukumar’s film releases, Rajamouli praises Sukumar and vice versa. RRR for real hype it created is unreal and the excitement that developed around it is infectious. RRR team promoted so well that every movie lover waited for release. The anticipation reached to the level that no one wants to miss the FDFS. Knowing this, the stake holders planned to mint the money from benefit shows. With the craze of Rajamouli , NTR and Ramcharan the benefit shows in Ceded area are sold at very huge prices. Most of the benefit shows are bought by the fans. It is heard that the benefit show tickets are sold at 1500, 1000 and 500 depends on the Centers.

Theatre owners sold the benefit shows at a price where each ticket costed around 1000 for the buyers itself. So they have to sell it at 1200 or 1500 to gain the profit from the show. But In Most of the Centers, the audience eagerly waited for buying tickets, but after knowing the cost their excitement took the back step. So they felt spending above 1000rs is too much. Many opted out to buy benefit show tickets. With no other choice, the tickets were sold at lower places. As a result some of the buyers incurred huge losses for the Benefit show buyers in many ceded centers.

RRR starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan released today on 25 March amidst huge hype. The film is made on a Pan-Indian level and released in all Indian languages. RRR is already on it’s way to cross the 100 cr gross on the opening day itself. Now the film has already set another milestone. RRR managed to cross 3 Million dollars Premieres and is also the first Indian film to achieve this rare feat.

It can be looked out as an all-out record chase by RRR in both AP/TS and US. It’s hourly gross reported $3,000,127 from 981 locations at 7:45 PM PST. Along with this RRR is also set to be the highest grosser for both Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. Rajamouli, the director of RRR is also a major reason for all these records. His earlier films especially Bahubali series have made a huge impact on audiences. They are still continuing the same following.

On the other hand, RRR advance bookings look dull in other languages. RRR was planned as a Pan-Indian release. We have to wait and see till this weekend. The theatrical business values are at around 500 crores worldwide. This is also the highest theatrical business for both heroes.
