Popular producer, distributor, and one of the leading PRs of Tollywood Mahesh Koneru passed away of a heart attack today in Vizag. His death has left the entire industry and cine lovers shocked. He is also the PR for Jr NTR and has been associated with the actor for many years now.

Mahesh had great relations with the entire media fraternity as well as film industry insiders. His death at such a young age has sent a shockwave across his media colleagues as well as industry well-wishers.

Mahesh Koneru’s last produced film Thimmarusu was released just a couple of months back and won rave reviews. Apart from that, he was also the man behind Kalyan Ram’s 118, Keerthy Suresh starter Miss India.

Mass slogan title for Balakrishna- Gopichand film

Balakrishna- Gopichand Malineni film is taking great shape and is all set to surprise fans. According to reports, the makers have decided to go ahead with a mass title for the film. Buzz is that the title ‘Jai Balayya’ has been registered for the movie.

The film is going to be a perfect commercial entertainer. Gopichand has been doing a lot of research work for the script for the past few months as it is based on real-life incidents. The director has spent a large part of this year in libraries doing research.

The pre-production works of the film are going on in full swing. Balakrishna – Gopichand movie will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers and SS Thaman will be composing the music. According to reports Vijay Sethupathi and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar have been approached to play key roles in the film.

The film will go on floors post the release of Akhanda. The makers of Akhanda are planning to release the film on November 4th and an official announcement will be made soon.

New MAA President Manchu Vishnu to meet AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy

MAA President Manchu Vishnu is on cloud nine after his recent win. Post win, he has made a bunch of promises. He also stated that he will continue working for the betterment of cine workers.

Vishnu has also stated that he will soon meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy. It is a known fact that Manchu family and AP CM are closely knit and share a great rapport. Mohan Babu, in fact in his media address yesterday even requested the film fraternity to extend same respect to the AP CM that they have for Telangana CM KCR.

Meanwhile, the MAA elections have come under great criticism from many quarters for being undemocratic and divisive. Many insiders have pointed that these elections were the most toxic and negative one in the history of MAA and feel that the rivalries created will only divide the industry further.

Prakash Raj, who lost to Manchu Vishnu for MAA President post has decided to resign from the primary membership of MAA. The actor claimed increasing regionalism and divisive politics as the reason for his resignation.

The release date of Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s Acharya and Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa has become the hot topic now. The makers of Acharya had earlier planned to release the film by the end of this year. While planning so, they found 17th December to be the optimal date for the release of already much delayed Acharya.

However, there was a small issue there. Allu Arjun’s Pushpa had already announced its release on 17th December long back. To settle the issue in an amicable way, the makers met at a recent Producer’s guild with the request to move Pushpa for later date. Koratala Siva, who is a key stakeholder in Acharya personally moved the motion.

But, Mythri Movie Makers and Allu Arjun were not convinced at all and said a straight no to the Acharya director. With these unsuccessful rounds of talks, team Acharya has now settled for 4th February as the release date now.

Pushpa’s director Sukumar also made it very clear in a recent media interaction that it will release on 17th December. “No deviation from this would be made at any cost,” he declared.

Mega Star Chiranjeevi is undoubtedly the most respected and one of the guiding forces of Tollywood. Whenever a crisis comes up be it the tickets rate issue or cine workers struggling economically due to lockdown, he has always taken an initiative.

However, the recently concluded MAA elections have brought out some startling accusations against him. While Chiranjeevi’s brother Naga Babu aggressively supported Prakash Raj panel, Mega Star himself maintained diplomatic silence and didn’t favour either Vishnu or Prakash Raj openly.

Manchu Vishnu however, has made a startling revelation about the ‘Acharya’ star. At a press meet, he said that a few days before the elections Chiranjeevi called up Mohan Babu. The call was for a request for Vishnu’s withdrawal from the candidature of MAA President. Prakash Raj was also vying for the post and Chiru favoured him over the Manchu Vishnu.

This statement has created quite a controversy as it is being seen as rather hypocritical of Chiranjeevi. He himself on many occasions has preached harmony and no side politics in the film industry.

Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde starrer Most Eligible Bachelor is gearing up for its release. The music of the film has been quite successful with a number of peppy numbers already playing all over. The makers of the film have now released a new lyrical ‘Chitti Adugu’ from the film.

Zia Ul Haq has sung the soulful number while Gopi Sundar has given the tunes to this fusion number ‘Chitti Adugu’.

The film also features Murali Sharma, Jaya Prakash, Aamani in key roles. It also features Esha Rebba and Faria Abdullah in cameo appearances. Prakash Raj and Naga Babu resign from MAA

Prakash Raj has decided to resign from the Movie Artist Association membership on Monday. The actor held a press conference where he announced his decision. He claimed that the politics inside the artist association has become full of regionalism.

“They brought in regionalism and defeated me for being non-Telugu. What is the point of me continuing then?” he questioned. The actor however confirmed that he will continue to act in Telugu films

This decision comes right after Naga Babu resigned from the membership of MAA after Vishnu Manchu defeated Prakash Raj in the heated polls that concluded on Sunday. Naga Babu had extended support to Prakash Raj panel and even made aggressive attacks on the opposing camp.

Naga Babu posted about his decision on social media in a detailed and creative manner. He accused that MAA is infested with regional feelings and divisive politics. In such an environment it’s not right for him to continue, he explained.

Manchu Vishnu elected MAA President after heated round of polls

Manchu Vishnu was elected President of the Movie Artists Association (MAA) defeating Prakash Raj in a fierce contest held here. The results brought an end to the rigorous and fierce campaign that took place over the last month.

Vishnu’s panel also bagged some posts for the Telugu film actors’ body in the polls. Vishnu trounced over Prakash Raj as MAA president with a margin of 106 votes

“Good Morning! I am humbled by the love and support my film fraternity has shown to me. Before I say anything more on MAA election; the counting for the EC Members, Joint Secretary and one of the Vice President posts start at 11am today. Will talk after that,” Vishnu tweeted on Monday.

Manchu Vishnu was elected for the tenure of 2021-23. Over 650 members of MAA out of the total eligible voters of nearly 900 cast their votes. The city police made elaborate arrangements to prevent untoward incidents.
