Ghani Anthem: Varun Tej’s impressive training montage

As revealed yesterday, the makers of Varun Tej’s upcoming film Ghani revealed the latest single from the movie. Titled Ghani Anthem, Thaman has packed the number with racy tunes and a fusion of Hip Hop and EDM.

Ghani Anthem features a training montage of Varun Tej in a monstrous muscular avatar. The movie will have some top-notch boxing action. Hollywood action directors Larnell Stovall and Vlad Rimburg have worked on the film. The duo directed some crucial action episodes in the film.

Debutant director Kiran Korapati is directing this sports action drama. Saiee Manjrekar, Sunil Shetty, Upendra and Jagapathy Babu will be essaying key roles in this film.  Sidhu Mudda and Allu Bobby have jointly produced the film under the banners of Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar all set for a mega launch

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar will have a mega launch on November 11th at 7:45 AM. The update was shared by the makers a short while ago leaving mega fans all excited. The project was officially unveiled by Superstar Mahesh Babu on Megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday earlier this year.

Meher Ramesh will direct Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar and Mahati Swara Sagar will compose the tunes. This is the first time that the actor-director duo is collaborating on a film. Meher Ramesh will return to direction after 8 years.

Bhola Shankar is a remake of Ajith’s 2015 Tamil super hit Vedalam. Keerthy Suresh will play Chiranjeevi’s sister role in this project. The film’s regular shoot will begin from 15th November.

Baseless rumours on Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe OTT release

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe is all set to light the screens for this Diwali. The action entertainer will release on 4th November and the recently released singles and teaser have hyped up the Superstar’s movie big time. The film will release in Telugu as Peddanna.

While the team is gearing up for the release, a rumour has started doing rounds on social media. As per this unverified report, Superstar Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe is going to be released in OTT post 21 days of theatrical release.

While this rumour has got the fans worried, this is absolutely baseless and there is no way the film would go for an early OTT release. A Rajini film releasing for Diwali warrants a complete run and the makers have also clarified that under no condition would it be cut short. The film will come on OTT only after the end of theatrical run.

Nayanthara is the leading lady opposite Superstar Rajinikanth, while Meena, Khushbu, Keethy Suresh, Jagapathi Babu, and Prakash Raj will be seen in important roles. Siva is directing this action entertainer while Imman has composed the music. Annaatthe will hit the screens for this Diwali on November 4th in Telugu and Tamil.

Prabhas has a bunch of exciting projects in hand at the moment. Romantic drama ‘Radhe Shyam’, action thriller ‘Salaar’, mythological drama ‘Adipurush’, sci-fi ‘Project K’ are all set to give a massive visual treat to the fans.

The audience and fans are equally excited to see Prabhas back to an out and out action film ‘Salaar’. Action has always been his strength and with Prashanth Neel handling the project, the expectations are way higher.

Speaking to a media house, the director recently revealed the reason behind him going for the ‘Baahubali’ star. “I was drawn to his innocence. Prabhas exudes more innocence compared to most other actors. To draw out this innocence and show it on screen will be fantastic,” said Prashanth.

“We don’t have a culture of using the World War or such subjects as premises for our films. So, my logic is that the stronger the villain is, the stronger the heroism that can be shown onscreen,” he said, giving a glimpse of what to expect from the film.

RRR business negotiations hurt SSR and Danayya’s plans

RRR is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious projects pan-India at the moment. One of the finest directors in the country, two massive stars, and a supporting cast from across the industries, RRR has every ingredient of a blockbuster. The RRR business has also been a satisfying one for the makers, however, that all is about to change now.

Seeing the financial viability of the project, producer DVV Danayya who is bankrolling the film had massive expectations from it. The success of Baahubali 2 across India pushed him towards the project. He believed that he has now scored a jackpot. But, now it appears that the business recorded will be around the budget mark.

This SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus has been made on a budget of around Rs 600 crores and the pre-release business recorded has been about Rs 750 crores (theatrical + non-theatrical).

The AP ticket rates and Covid impact might affect the RRR business by a whopping Rs 75 crores. Adding to it, the Andhra business of the film is set to be revised and will see a 30% reduction. As per reports, even Nizam reduction talks are happening due to low revenues from the recent releases.

While the movie has got a massive global appeal, the film might just provide breakeven business to Danayya due to the above reasons. If the reductions keep going at this pace, the makers will have to place all their hopes on overflows.

Maharshi and Jersey receive National honours

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi and Natural Star Nani’s Jersey brought laurels to the Telugu Film Industry at the National Awards held today.

Maharshi won awards for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Choreography while Jersey got the Best Telugu Film and Best Editing awards. Vamsi Paidipally and Dil Raju received the awards for the 2019 action entertainer starring Superstar Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde.

Gautam Tinnanuri, who is also directing the Hindi remake of Jersey received the award on behalf of his entire team at a glittering ceremony at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. Navin Nooli was also present at the occasion and was awarded for his superlative editing for Jersey

Superstar Rajinikanth honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Superstar Rajinikanth has been conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke for the year 2019 a short while ago. An announcement regarding the same was made earlier this year by Union Minister Prakash Javedkar. The prestigious award is being conferred to Rajinikanth for his invaluable contribution to the field of cinema.

The Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2019 should have been announced last year but was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, as were the National Film Awards for 2019.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with a number of political big wigs and industry stars congratulated Superstar earlier this year on the announcement. He has been honoured with the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan in the past.

Superstar Rajinikanth is now gearing up for his upcoming action-drama ‘Annaatthe’. The film also stars Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Khushboo, and Prakash Raj.

The movie, which is now scheduled to release on November 4, was postponed several times due to the production delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Tamannah to take legal action against Masterchef Telugu

Tamannah has been focussing majorly on OTT platforms and small screen of late. Post her OTT debut with web series 11th Hour, she was approached to host Masterchef Telugu. The popular cooking reality show is a hit across the world and the actress herself is a huge fan of the show.

While everything appeared to be great during the first few episodes, a problem seems to have arisen between the actress and the show makers.

Tamannaah has decided to take the legal route after the makers cut off all communication with her. The actress’s lawyer informs, “Due to the non-payment of dues on MasterChef Telugu and unprofessional conduct by the production house Innovative Film Academy, Tamannaah Bhatia is being forced to take legal action. Despite the continuous non-payment and unprofessional approach, she canceled other commitments and was determined to complete the entire project. However, since the production house has overnight stopped communication with her, she is now forced to consider filing a legal suit against them”.

The actress has been abruptly replaced by Anchor Anasuya who is now hosting the season currently. Meanwhile, Tamannah has packed herself with a bunch of movies up next. Tamannah has a bunch of releases lined up and will be next seen in films like F3, and Gurthunda Seetakalam. She recently was seen in Maestro and Seetimaarr.

Jr NTR to not host next Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu

Jr NTR has continued his victory streak on small screen with Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu. The show this season has been performing much better than the previous ones. The show got off to a great start and that first episode featuring Ram Charan as the special guest recorded an amazing TRP of 11.4. This episode kickstarted a wonderful run for the show in its first week.

This victory run of Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu continued in the coming weeks and the show recorded a weekly average TRP of 5.4 which is great by all accounts. The celebrity guests such as Ram Charan, SS Rajamouli and Koratala Siva, and Samantha added to the show’s appeal.

However, now it appears that Jr NTR might not return as the host for the next season. The ‘RRR’ star wants to focus on his upcoming projects. He has big-budget mass entertainers lined up with Prashanth Neel and Koratala Siva up next. These projects will take up the majority of his time and small screen return at this moment looks unlikely.
