After Sr NTR now it’s Prabhas says Madhya Pradesh chief minister

Prabhas – The name almost every Indian knows. Such is the craze of Prabhas right now. The star reached the peak of his stardom with Baahubali. Almost everyone from every part of the country liked Prabhas and he became Pan – India Star. Undoubtedly he is now the face of Telugu cinema. Only few actors will get such hype and reputation. In a recent event Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister hailed Prabhas.

In an event conducted by Telugu association, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said “Telugu is a very rich language and has a lot of significance in every field. Telugu speaking people are very much respected in Madhya Pradesh.  Not only in Madhya Pradesh but Telugu people are respected everywhere in the nation. In fact they always leave a significant mark in any work they do”.

The MP CM added ”Recently, we can see Telugu cinema is given a new direction to Indian films. Wonderful films are coming from Telugu one after the other. Telugu cinema has become the pride of India today.  People in the north would know only N T Ramarao from Telugu cinema. But now Prabhas has become a household name across India”. The speech video is going viral in social media and Prabhas’ fans are on cloud nine.

Disastrous phase for Ace production company Sun Pictures

Sun pictures is one of the leading distributors and production houses in Tamilnadu. Starting from year 2000 Sun pictures distributed a lot of films in Kollywood. Then entered as producers with Enthiran which is a blockbuster they didn’t turn back after producing few blockbusters. In fact the ace production company is now in a disastrous phase.

Once up on a time, there is lot of reputation for Sun pictures production movies in Tamil Nadu. Recently the movies produced by Sun pictures are disasters at Boxoffice. 2019 release siva kartikeyan’s Namma Veettu Pillai is the last decent outing from Sun pictures. But later the film with Superstar Rajinikanth Anaththe is a big disaster. Surya’s ET is also a disaster at box office. Sun pictures held a lot of hopes on the latest outing Vijay’s Beast. Though Vijay’s stardom pulled the movie till first weekend, the movie is heading towards commercial failure.

Nelson Dileepkumar and Vijay's Beast

Though Sun pictures is having a bad phase their upcoming line up looks positive. They have Thiruchitrambalam with Dhanush, VJS 46 and Chandramukhi 2 with Lawrence. Let’s see which film will bring them back into light.

KGF Chapter 2 1st weekend Box-office performance and records

KGF Chapter 2 had a sensational 1st weekend box-office performance. It has collected 550 cr approx gross worldwide. This is the first film from Kannada film industry to score 500 cr worldwide gross. This also stands next to Bahubali 2, RRR and Dangal. This is indeed a great news for the KGF Fans.

KGF Chapter 2 Hindi nett is 190 crore+. This is a record 4 days collections for any movie. In Kerala the film’s gross for 4 days is close to 29 crore. This is also an all time record for 4 days there. The film is easily heading towards 1000 crore mark worldwide. On the other hand, the film has no competition with any film. Tamil film, Beast too didn’t generate the necessary talk and is finding it difficult to run in many centers and states. The film failed miserably in AP/TS where the film is sold for more than 10 crores share.

KGF Chapter 2 is phenomenal in AP/TS with the share crossing more than 40 crores in 3 days. The film’s Hindi run is too very good with the gross getting close to 200 crores there. The film needs to perform good for some more weeks to touch the 300 crore mark.

Nani trying hard to establish himself in South India

Natural Star Nani is now consciously looking to pick varied characters with great scope for experimentation in them. His last film Shyam Singha Roy was a period drama where he played a social reformer and writer. Next, he will be seen in a comic role in Ante Sundaraniki as a boy next door. Post this comedy entertainer, he will be seen in action-drama Dasara.

With so many varied characters lined up next, Nani is trying to expand his market beyond Tollywood. And unlike his contemporaries, it’s not the north market that he’s vying. It’s other southern languages that he’s looking to expand into.

His last film Shyam Singha Roy was released in 3 south Indian languages along with Telugu. Similarly, Ante Sundaraniki will be releasing in Tamil & Malayalam versions also. While the presence of Nazariya is a key reason for Tamil and Malayalam releases, Nani has decided that his upcoming projects will have the same strategy.

He has placed high expectations on Dasara as well and the film will reportedly be a pan-India project with release in 5 languages. Meanwhile, Ante Sundaraniki release date will be announced on the 18th of April and the fans are eager to catch this update.

Spy thrillers seem to be the flavour of the season. It all started with Adivi Sesh’s Goodachari in 2018 followed by Gopichand in Chanakya in 2019. Akhil is also coming up with Agent soon and now, actor Nikhil will also be seen as a spy in his upcoming film.

Spy will mark the debut of Tamil actress Iswarya Menon and will also feature Abhinav Gomatam. The film will be bankrolled by K Rajashekhar Reddy while Sricharan Pakala will compose tunes.
