Pawan Kalyan Sings Again For Bheemla Nayak

There is no doubt that the combination of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram has produced blockbuster movies over the years.

But the star combo has also produced some chartbusters over the years, some of which the Powerstar has sung himself.

After Attarintiki Daaredi and Agnyaathavaasi, the duo is back with Bheemla Nayak. The buzz is that Pawan Kalyan will be singing a massy village type song.

In 2013 when Pawan Kalyan sang the groovy Katamarayuda song for the blockbuster Attarintiki Daaredi, fans of the star went gaga over it.

In 2018, the star gave his voice for the song-Kodakaa Koteswar Rao. Although the movie didn’t do too well, the song was celebrated by his diehard fans.

After a gap of three years, Pawan Kalyan will be lending his voice again for a massy village song in Bheemla Nayak, and fans of the Powerstar cannot wait.

The song will release a week ahead of its theatrical release.

Saagar K Chandra has directed the movie and, Trivikram Srinivas has written the screenplay of the film. The film also stars Rana Dagubatti, Nithya Menon, and Samyukta Menon in prominent roles.

Bheemla Nayak is all set for a grand theatrical release on January 12th,2022. If all goes to plan, this will be the highest grosser for Pawan Kalyan.

SKYLAB Team Commits A Huge Mistake

Despite having an interesting concept, and an engaging trailer, SkyLab opened to terrible collections, with very low occupancy on the first day.

SkyLab, starring Satyadev, Nithya Menon, and Rahul Ramakrishna released on 4th December 2021. Set in the 1970s, Skylab is a fictional retelling of a real incident that occurred in Karimnagar.

What is the reason for such low openings? Let’s analyze the team’s mistakes.

Poor Choice In Release Date

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda movie released on 2nd December 2021 and opened to extremely positive talks from fans. The movie was the actor’s best opener of all time.

Due to this, the hype generated around Akhanda has been sky-high. Naturally, SkyLab being a relatively small movie in scale suffered immensely. If it released after a week or so, it would’ve fared better.

SkyLab Not Meant For The Big Screen

There is no argument that SkyLab looks visually stunning. However, in today’s market, people want more than just visual satisfaction.

It would’ve been a much better option for it to release on OTT, due to its slow-paced storytelling.

Not Enough Promotion For SkyLab

The makers failed in their efforts to promote the movie. Arguably, they had Nani as a chief guest for their pre-release event and also promoted their movie on the TV show-CASH.

But unfortunately, this was not good enough to compete with NBK’s Akhanda.

Having said that, this is only the first day, and hopefully, the film picks up the pace soon.

Skylab trailer and its subsequent promotional content have evoked great curiosity amongst the audience. When a star cast featuring talented actors like Nithya Menen, Satyadev, and Rahul Ramakrishna comest together, it is bound to give something interesting and watch worthy to the audience. Nithya Menen is turning producer with this film and picking such an off-beat subject for her debut is indeed a brave decision. Has this gamble paid off? Let’s find out

Story: Skylab is based on the ordinary lives of the residents of Bandalingampally village. These ordinary lives change when the news of Skylab (a satellite located in space) gets destructed and starts heading towards the earth. The movie is set in 1979 and director Vishwak Khanderao has tried to capture the reactions and imaginations of people during those times to a satellite hurling towards the earth.

Performance: Gauri (Nithya Menen) plays an aspiring journalist who is looking for that one big story that will change her life. Ananda (Satyadev) on the other hand plays a doctor who has lost is license and is now planning to set up a clinic in the village. The duo look terrific on-screen and as talented actors, they breathe life into their roles. Adding to the movie’s cast is Rahul Ramakrishna who provides some comic relief and fun moments in the movie. The extended support cast includes Tanikella Bharani, Tulasi among others who have nothing special to do.

Analysis: Skylab starts on a promising note and the characters are well established and portrayed. The production design is impressive and brings the retro theme to life. While the film is good on technical front- writing and editing are two things that play a spoilsport and do not allow the film to realize its potential. The film has also explored issues like untouchability, lack of medical care in villages etc. but the presentation ends up making the movie a dull fare. The film could have been edited by a long margin and still could have retained the essence.

Verdict: Skylab is another of those projects with immense potential gone waste. The film tries to explore and showcase too many things at once and often sidetracks from the core narrative. Multiple irrelevant sequences and lengthy runtime make the film a tedious watch

Naga Chaitanya’s Next With Maanaadu Director?

Naga Chaitanya is on a roll lately with back-to-back hits. In 2019, Naga Chaitanya impressed fans and critics, with his emotional performance in Majili. Later that year, he entertained fans with Venky Mama.

In 2021 he proved his acting talent yet again with Love Story, which was the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2021, and it looks like this trend is not going to stop.

There is a buzz that Naga Chaitanya is reportedly in talks with Tamil director Venkat Prabhu, who recently scored a super hit with- Maanaadu, starring top Tamil actor Simbu. A delegation from Tollywood met minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav earlier today to discuss various issues of the industry. The delegation comprising SS Rajamouli, Trivikram Srinivas, Dil Raju, Sunil Narang, DVV Danayya, Suryadevara Nagavamsi among several other bigwigs, met the Minister and submitted a representation.

“The Telugu film industry went through a difficult time due to the outbreak of Covid-19 for the past two years. At a time when the industry is gradually recovering from a financial slump, the new variant Omicron that we get to hear from the news has become a threat. The new release ‘Akhanda’, and many more big movies are lined up till Sankranthi festival like ‘Pushpa’, ‘RRR’, ‘Acharya’, ‘Bheemla Nayak’. But nothing to panic about as the government is all prepared to face it. 5th show & ticket rates issues were also discussed along with other pending issues” the Minister said.

Speaking about the meeting, producer Dil Raju said that the delegation discussed various issues with the minister regarding upcoming Tollywood releases.

“Sri Talasani Yadav garu gave us assurance regarding the government’s plans to handle any possible upcoming pandemic outbreaks and reduced theatre occupancies. The minister has assured that he will take our issues ahead with Chief Minister KCR garu,” said Dil Raju.
