Finally RGV sets a crazy film with Kannada star hero

A Tollywood director who is totally different and some times weird is collaborating with a Kannada star hero who did some very unique movies. The two different personalities are RGV and Upendra. Both were controversial but started new trends and set new standards for their respective fields. RGV lost his lime light and shining now and then with some good projects and some very bad projects. On the other hand Kannada star changed his image from bad to good. Upendra did some Telugu remakes recently and gained some hits as an actor. This actor director recently announced his directorial come back. RGV is doing some low budget stuff announced a movie with Upendra that created a buzz.

RGV tweeted about his movie with Upendra yesterday. The movie is titled R and is based on a unique gangster. RGV is master in dealing with crime dramas. Though he is giving continuous flops, movies like Raktha charitra proved his mettle as director. So we cannot stay away from RGV, he will surprise us with different projects. The much-awaited day has come and RRR is all ours to experience and savour. The film saw multiple postponements and a number of hurdles in the past couple of years. But, its was Rajamouli’s passion and Tarak and Charan’s craze that kept the hype alive and kicking. Termed one of the most ambitious movies in Indian film history, RRR has all the makings of an all-time great film and the potential of registering humungous collections. But, the most important question still remains whether this pan-India biggie has enough to justify the hype it has created in the last few years. Does the movie carry enough firepower to capture the audience’s fancy for 3 hours? Will the movie create the magic that the Rajamouli has been promising? Let’s check out.

Story: Set in British ruled India of the early 1900s. RRR follows the travails and bravado of Bheem (Jr NTR) a heroic Gond tribal leader, and Alluri Seeta Rama Raju (Ram Charan) a ferocious police officer. The story starts with the kidnap of a young girl Malli from Adilabad forests by a British officer. Bheem is entrusted to bring the girl back and starts his journey and creates major havoc on the way. Alluri Seeta Rama Raju is tasked with catching this most wanted rebel. Both Bheem and Rama Raju become close friends unknowingly. However, all hell breaks loose when they find each other’s reality. What happens next is what the story is about.


Performances: Jr NTR and Ram Charan have put their blood and soul into the film. Their strong characterization is superbly backed by their flawless performances bringing Bheem and Rama Raju to life. Not just in action sequences, Jr NTR and Ram Charan have excelled in emotional scenes as well and have given their career-best performance in this movie of a lifetime. RRR totally depends on these two and they have simply outdone themselves and have proven their mettle as massive stars as well as solid performers. SS Rajamouli has balanced the two stars brilliantly and has captured the actors as per their strengths. Apart from the two leading men, all the others have bits and pieces roles. Ajay Devgn is dependable as always while Alia Bhatt has more of an extended cameo and looks great on screen. Olivia Morris, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Shriya Saran have not much apart from a filler duty which they do just fine. From the extended cast, Samuthrikani impresses the most. The core plot by Vijayendra Prasad is terrific and quite engaging and with Rajamouli’s trusted team of cinematographer Senthil and art director Sabu Cyril firing all guns, the output is top-notch as always. The duo successfully transports the audience to the world of the 1920s and keeps them engaged.

Analysis: RRR is a movie based on strong patriotic emotions and the macho heroism of the lead. While the heroism part of the film has been brilliantly captured by Rajamouli, the movie falters on the emotional front. Rajamouli keeps the audience engaged throughout the 3 hours which itself is a huge achievement these days. With a solid first half featuring outstanding intro scenes and brilliant interval bang, the ace director sets the movie quite well for a grand second half. However, the movie falters slightly post the interval due to certain editable scenes creating a lag. RRR makes a strong comeback from there, engaging the audience till the grand climax. The lag in the second half aside, the film certainly holds up to its hype and is certain to create collections history across centers.

Rajamouli has yet again played to his strengths and has transformed the audience successfully to his world of marvels. Lack of emotions aside, the action episodes will be remembered for a long and the movie has every ingredient of an all-time blockbuster. Now we just have to wait and watch the rampage that Bheem and Rama Raju create at the box office worldwide.

Vijay Devarakonda, who is riding high with the success of Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam is looking to further his popularity with Liger. Liger starring him alongside Ananya Panday is a boxing drama directed by Puri Jagannath. Puri Jagannath is also on high with the success of his recent film, Ismart Shankar. Now it is rumoured that there will Kashmir backdrop for Vijay Deverakonda’s next film with Shiva Nirvana.

The film tentatively titled, #VD12 will be produced by Dil Raju. An official announcement was also made on the same. Samantha is also rumoured to be the female lead. Anirudh is the music composer. Latest update on the film is also that the film is a love story based in Kashmir Backdrop. Director, Shiva Nirvana recent release Tuck Jagadish with Nani was a disappointment. There were even rumours about Vijay Deverakonda cancelling this project. This was however refuted by Shiva Nirvana.

Vijay Deverakonda currently doing Liger with Puri Jagannath okayed another project with him. This film is Jana Gana Mana, once planned with Mahesh Babu. However Puri is going ahead with this project with Vijay Deverakonda. Details of this project have not come yet. Karan Johar will be the producer for this project.

RRR eyes on 100 cr opening in Telugu States

RRR starring Jr.NTR and Ram Charan directed by Rajamouli released today on March 25. The film has already did record pre-release business of around 500 crores. This is the highest theatrical business for both Jr.NTR and Ram Charan. Rajamouli earlier had this with his Bahubali 2. Now RRR is eyeing on the 100 cr opening in both Telugu States.

The film has terrific fan shows and night shows in Telugu states with massive occupancy and the bookings for the day 1 is extraordinary. The film as said is expected to cross the 100 cr gross in Telugu states. This is a record by a huge margin. There was never a hype for a film other than Bahubali with this range. The star power of Jr.NTR and Ram Charan is also adding up as an advantage. Rajamouli’s Bahubali craze is being continued with these openings.

On the other hand RRR in all the other languages seem to be not well. It is not on par with the range it is having in Telugu. Advance bookings are also not up to the mark. Kashmir Files which is ruling the Hindi Box-office is still going strong. We have to wait and see how RRR performs further.

RRR has finally came to theatres. Tracktollywood is bringing you the much awaited Live report from Premier show.

Rajamouli didn’t miss his formula this time too. He moulded RRR’s first half with all the elements that you expect from Rajamouli’s film. Extraordinary intros for Both Heros with Mind-blowing Title Cards. Nothing more nothing less in the elevation levels of both. Ram Charan is police officer in Delhi who is searching for Jr.NTR to catch him. One of the highlights of first half is the first meeting scene of NTR and Ram Charan.

Naatu Naatu song came out really well. Both the heroes gave 100% for the song. Choreography is too good and the steps where both heroes danced together are feast for the fans.

First half showcased different stories for each R in RRR. The pre interval is so well set and it is one of the highlights of the first half. And the much awaited interval block has come out extraordinarily. Massive applause in the theatre for interval block. The audience are on high after the first half and the ground is well set for the second half. Let’s wait for the second half report to know more about the film.

Bheemla Nayak was released in theatres on 25th February. It opened well at box office and received hit talk for the first one week. Have you ever bought a movie ticket for 4K? Or 3k? Or 2k? If you want to watch RRR first day first show in Telugu states, you might be ending up buying the ticket at that rates. The theatre owners are planning midnight shows and trying to sell the tickets at record prices. Though the government is taking all measures to stop these acts, it is proving to be fatal in front of Telugu audience’s mad love for cinema.

The collectors had clearly instructed the theatre owners not to screen any show before 6am. And even Andhra pradesh government released G.O. Stating that only 5 shows are permitted.in a day with Government prices. Any theatre not following the rules will be seized. Theatre owners are trying hard to get the mid night show permissions. Salaar producer confirms the sequel and release plans

Prabhas’ action thriller Salaar is going to enthrall the audience in two parts. There were rumours about a two-part release for quite some time. And now these rumours have been confirmed by the producer himself. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Prabhas in an out-and-out commercial and action role.

Due to the massive positive buzz for the movie, Hombale Films have decided to extend the budget of the film. The makers have decided to utilize and market Prabhas’s craze and have decided to increase the budget by about 15-20%. Hence, going for the movie in two parts seems to be a commercially viable option for makers.

Hombale films are producing this much-awaited pan India project. Salaar also stars Shruti Haasan opposite Prabhas. Ravi Basrur is composing the music marking his fourth collaboration with Prashanth Neel after Ugram, KGF:1, and KGF:2.

As of now, nearly 30% of the shoot has been completed and Prabhas will soon be back on sets to resume the remaining portion. Salaar is slated to release in summer 2023 while the sequel will come one year after that.

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa has been one of the biggest success stories of the last year. Pushpa The Rise had turned out to be Super Hit when we consider overall revenue from multiple languages. Theatrical Rights of the film were at ₹145.5 Crs and it recovered 120% of its business. While the movie didn’t perform as expected in Telugu states, its overall run in the other areas successfully made the movie a super hit.

However, the biggest achievement of Pushpa was the cultural impact it had both on social media as well as off it. The dialogues, steps, and mannerisms from the movie have become a part of public life.

Pushpa: The Rise registered a similar success on its debut on its OTT streaming premiere. The movie was released on Amazon Prime Video on January 7th and climbed up the trending charts effortlessly.
