గీతా2 ఆర్ట్స్ బ్యానర్ పై మారుతిదర్శకత్వంలో హీరో గోపీచంద్, అతని సరసన హీరోయిన్ రాశి ఖన్నా నటిస్తున్న సినిమా “పక్కా కమర్షియల్”.

ఈ సినిమా ట్రైలర్ పరంగా చూసుకుంటే హీరో క్రిమినల్స్ తరపున వాదించే లాయర్ గా కనిపిస్తున్నాడు. అవటానికి ఇది నెగటివ్ టచ్ అయినా ఇందులో బోల్డంత కామెడీ మరియు యాక్షన్ కి స్కోప్ ఉంది. దానికి తగ్గట్టే ట్రైలర్ లో విలన్ రావు రమేష్ తో పంచ్ డైలాగ్ లు, ఫైట్స్ తాలుకు షాట్స్ ఉన్నాయి ట్రైలర్ లో.

ఇక హీరోయిన్ గా రాశి ఖన్నా కూడా కామెడీ మిక్స్ ఉన్న క్యారక్టర్ లో చేలరేగిపోయినట్లు స్పష్టంగా కనిపిస్తుంది. ఇటీవలి కాలంలో మన తెలుగు సినిమాల్లో అలవాటైన నటుడు సత్యరాజ్ ఇందులో హీరో తండ్రి పాత్రలో కనిపించటం మరో విశేషం.

మారుతి కెరీర్ లో ఇంతవరకూ బాక్స్ ఆఫీస్ వద్ద ఫెయిల్ అయిన సినిమానే లేదు. ఇక “పక్కా కమర్షియల్” ట్రెయిలర్ చూస్తుంటే టైటిల్ కి తగ్గట్టే ఎక్కడా కమర్షియల్ ఎలిమెంట్స్ మిస్ అవకుండా ఒక సూపర్ హిట్ సినిమా చూడబోతున్నాము అనే ఫీలింగ్ కలుగుతుంది.

సినీ పరిశ్రమలో యే బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ లేకుండా ఎదిగి నాచురల్ స్టార్ గా పేరు తెచ్చుకున్నాడు నాని. ఎప్పటికప్పుడు కొత్త దర్శకులతో పని చేస్తూ, చేసే ప్రతీ సినిమాకి ఎంతో కొంత కొత్తదనం ఉండేలా చూసుకుంటూ నటుడిగా తనకంటూ ఒక స్థాయిని ఏర్పరచుకున్నాడు. స్క్రిప్ట్ సెలక్షన్ విషయంలో చాలా పక్కాగా ఉంఉంట.

భలే భలే మగాడివోయ్ సినిమా తరువాత అతడి బాక్స్ ఆఫీస్ స్టామినా కూడా కాస్త పెరిగిన మాట వాస్తవమే. ఆ పై నేను లోకల్, MCA వంటి వరుస విజయాల తరువాత అతగాడి రేంజ్ యే మారిపొతుంది అనుకున్నారు ఇండస్ట్రీ వర్గాలతో పాటు ప్రేక్షకులు.

అయితే అన్ని రోజుులూ ఒకేలాగా ఉండవు. కేవలం ఒక్క సినిమాతో పైకి వెళ్లిన సందర్భాలు ఉన్నట్టే ఒక్కోసారి కిందకీ పడిపోవచ్చు. కృష్ణార్జున యుద్ధం సినిమా పరాజయం తరువాత నానికి సరైన హిట్ లేకపోగా, v, టక్ జగదీష్ రెండు సినిమాలు వరుసగా ott లో విడుదల అవడం తన కెరీర్ కి మరింత చెడు చేసింది అనే చెప్పాలి.

శ్యామ్ సింఘా రాయ్ చిత్రానికి మంచి టాక్ వచ్చినా, అనుకున్నంత స్థాయిలో ఆ సినిమా కలెక్షన్స్ రాబట్టలేకపోయింది. జస్ట్ బ్రేక్ ఈవెన్ స్టేటస్ సంపాదించుకుంది.

ఇక నాని కొత్త సినిమా “అంటే సుందరానికీ” అడ్వాన్స్ బుకింగ్ కూడా అంత ఆశాజనకంగా లేకుండా పోయింది. చాలా చోట్ల ఇటీవల విడుదల అయిన “మేజర్” కంటే తక్కువ ఉండటం గమనార్హం.”అంటే సుందరానికీ” కాంబినేషన్ ప్రకారం చూస్తే అసలు సూపర్ హిట్ పక్కా అనిపించే విధంగా ఉంటుంది కానీ పైన చెప్పుకున్న కారణాల వల్ల ఆశించిన స్థాయిలో ప్రేక్షకుల నుండి ఆసక్తి కనిపించలేదు. అయితే సినిమాకి రివ్యూలతో పాటు ప్రేక్షకుల్లో మంచి టాక్ కూడా వచ్చింది.

చాలా కాలానికి తనదైన శైలిలో ఉన్న పాత్ర/సినిమా పడటం నానికి కలిసి వచ్చి రేస్ లో బౌన్స్ బ్యాక్ అవుతాడు అని ఆశిద్దాం.

కమల్ హాసన్ - లోకేష్ కనగరాజ్ కాంబినేషన్ లో వచ్చిన విక్రమ్ ఘనవిజయం సాధించిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. అటు విమర్శకుల ప్రశంసలతో పాటు బాక్స్ ఆఫీస్ వద్ద కలెక్షన్ లు కూడా దండిగా రాబడుతోంది "విక్రమ్".కమల్ తో పాటు ఫాహద్ ఫాజిల్, విజయ్ సేతుపతి పాత్రలకు కూడా న్యాయం చేసి ఆకట్టుకున్న లోకేష్, సినిమా చివరిలో "విక్రమ్" సీక్వెల్ కి "ఖైదీ" సినిమాకీ లింక్ పెట్టాడు.దీంతో లోకేష్ యూనివర్స్ లో తరువాత రాబోయే చిత్రానికి అంచనాలు పెరిగిపోయాయి, నెటిజన్స్ అయితే ఆల్రెడీ కథల, సన్నివేశాలు రాసేస్తూ తెగ ఎక్సైట్ అయిపోతున్నారు ఆ అంచనాలను, ఆసక్తి నీ మరింత పెంచే విధంగా మరో కొత్త న్యూస్ బయటకి వచ్చింది. "విక్రమ్" సినిమా విడుదల తరువాత దర్శకుడు లోకేష్ ప్రసిద్ధ ఫిల్మ్ క్రిటిక్ అయిన భరద్వాజ రంగన్ తో ఒక ఇంటర్వ్యూ ఇచ్చారు అందులో భాగంగానే "ఖైదీ 2" లో ఏమేమి ఆసక్తికర అంశాలు ఉంటాయో చెప్తూ, జైల్లో ఉన్నప్పుడు ఢిల్లీ కబడ్డీ పోటీ లు గెలిచి ఛాంపియన్ అయ్యాడు అని, తనతో ఉన్న బ్యాగ్ లో వాటికి సంబంధించిన కప్ లు ఉన్నాయి అని లోకేష్ వివరించారు మొదటి భాగం లో ఆ సన్నివేశాలు చూపించలేదు కానీ రెండో భాగంలో మాత్రం వాటి చుట్టూ మంచి సన్నివేశాలు తెరక్కిస్తానని దర్శకుడు లోకేష్ చెప్పుకొచ్చారు.

Whatever you think about Nani, one thing you simply cannot deny is that he is one of the best actors in the Telugu Film Industry. He has always given the first priority to choosing good content-oriented scripts rather than commercial movies.

From the Ala Modalaindi, Ashta Chamma, and Bhale Bhale Magadivoy days to Ante Sundaraniki, he has never compromised on the script. Looking at this growth in the 2010s, people thought that Nani will become the next star hero in the industry but things have changed.

Irrespective of the good content in his films like Shyam Singha Roy, they are not meeting the trade expectations. Now, looking at the pre-advance bookings of Ante Sundaraniki, it is lesser than Major in the main centers.

On paper, Ante Sundaraniki is a massive combo for A centers but now the situation is different. No one has expected this downfall of Nani.

But, having said that, Ante Sundaraniki is garnering an overwhelmingly positive talk. Nani is back with a rom-com after a long time and the theatres have been a laugh riot. Hopefully, this film creates wonders for the Natural star.

Major was released in theatres on 3rd June in theatres and opened to tremendous opening collections. Despite the stiff competition from Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, Major managed to hold its own ground. It received extremely positive reviews and became an instant blockbuster in Telugu.

But, Major has struggled in the Hindi version. Despite being authentically shot in Hindi as well, the film has struggled to pull the Hindi audiences into the theatres. This is largely due to the lack of promotions for the North audiences.

It is common knowledge that Mahesh Babu is the producer of Major. Despite having a big star like Mahesh backing the project, the makers failed to utilize this to the maximum. Due to Mahesh’s holiday trip, the makers failed to promote Major with Mahesh as the poster boy.

There is no doubt that Major is posting decent numbers in Hindi but it could’ve worked wonders if it was promoted well. The Hindi audiences readily lapped up a movie like Shershaah and Major would’ve also fallen in the same bracket. If there was a good buzz, Major might’ve even outdone KGF 1 in Hindi.
