The buzz about OTT releases is beyond the theaters in the present day. OTT audiences are waiting with great excitement every weekend to watch new movies in their comfort.

Already Sharwanand’s Oke Oka Jeevitham, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara, and Vijay Devarakonda’s Liger Hindi version have been streaming in the OTT and another movie has joined the list.

Young hero Nagashaurya starrer ‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’ is all set to entertain the audience on OTT this Diwali weekend. This comedy-drama is currently streaming on Netflix.

Krishna Vrinda Vihari tells about Krishna, a boy from a traditional Brahmin family. Brought up in a very formal environment from childhood, he likes Vrinda, a modern girl who grew up in a completely different environment. Even though Vrinda likes Krishna, she keeps him away because she can’t have children. But after knowing about the problem, he tells her that he does not need children and convinces her to marry him. Then he says that he has some problem with his family and convinces them for marrying Vrinda.

But when Krishna’s mother comes to his house in the city, new problems arise. The rest of the story is about how they affected Krishna-Vrinda’s relationship.

Shirley Setia played the heroine opposite Naga Shaurya in this movie. Radhika Sarath Kumar played a key role in this and Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Satya, and Brahmaji acted in other roles.

The film is produced by Usha Mulpuri and presented by Shankar Prasad Mulpuri. Music composed by Mahati Swara Sagar. While Sai Sriram provided the cinematography, Tammiraju handled the editing duties.

Mythri is confident of Adipurush not releasing for Sankranthi

Mythri Movie Makers are coming up with films with two of the most celebrated actors of Telugu cinema- Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. While Chiru will be seen in Waltair Veerayya in KS Ravindra’s direction, Balayya will star in NBK 107 under Gopichand Malineni’s direction.

The makers of Prabhas’ Adipurush had announced Sankranti 2023 as the release date long back. Mythri Movie Makers have informed the distributors that only Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya will hit the screens for the festive season and Adipurush might push its release date further.

Balakrishna and Gopichand Malineni’s Veera Simha Reddy will have the first release and most likely release on 11th January. Waltair Veerayya on the other hand will release on 13th January. Interestingly, both these Mythri films have Shruti Haasan in the lead role.

Adipurush’s shooting has been wrapped up a long time ago and the makers have spent a lot of time and resources on VFX. The makers recently released the teaser and confirmed that the movie will hit theatres on Jan 12, 2023. However, with multiple films releasing this Sankranti and Adipurush teaser getting slight backlash, the makers of this Prabhas starter might consider a later and safer release date.

Allu Aravind also seems to be interested to produce this film and they are planning to narrate this script to Mega Power Star Ram Charan once he returns from Japan. Presently Ram Charan is in Japan with NTR and Rajamouli for RRR Japan release promotions.

Coming back to Kantara, this movie has been a sensational success as said above. Already the movie has collected worldwide more than 150 crores and heading towards a 200 crores figure.

This Diwali season was a busy one at the Tollywood box office with as many as four Diwali releases hitting the big screens. Karthi’s Sardar, Vishwak Sen’s Ori Devuda, Sivakarthikeyan’s Prince, and Manchu Vishnu’s Ginna clashed at the box office.

Karthi’s Sardar received great responses in TN as well as Telugu states and the word of mouth and bookings for the weekend have been impressive. Directed by P.S. Mithran, Raashi Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan played lead roles opposite Karthi in heroines in this action thriller.

Ori Devuda also opened to positive reviews and Vishwak Sen and Mithila Palkar’s fresh pairing along with Venkatesh’s entertaining performance were hailed by all. It needs to perform strongly over the next couple of days to make headway toward hit status.

Prince starring Sivakarthikeyan emerged as a big opener in Tamil Nadu and has received a mixed response in Telugu states. The film needs a massive upswing especially in Telugu states to recover business.

Coming to the OTT premiers, the Diwali releases have secured digital deals long back and will be released on OTT platforms in the coming days. While Sardar and Ori Devuda will release on Aha, Prince will stream on Disney + Hotstar.

Veera Simha Reddy is the project of Balakrishna after Akhanda, and there are huge expectations for this movie. This movie is releasing on the occasion of Sankranthi.

On the other hand, Gopichand, who got a super hit with the last movie Krack, is also in hit form. And we’ll have to wait and see if this super crazy combination can make this movie a hit or not.

Vijay Deverakonda signs the script rejected by Ram Charan

Ram Charan and Gowtam Tinnanuri project received massive hype when it was announced. Many were pleasantly surprised when Ram Charan chose to work with Gowtam, who is known for emotional subjects like Malli Raava and Jersey. After heavy-duty projects like RRR and RC 15, it was believed to be the right move by many.

However, the project will not materialize as planned as the Mega Power Star has walked out of it. Quite surprisingly, Vijay Deverakonda has come on board immediately after Charan’s exit.

Gowtam didn’t waste any time after Charan walked out and immediately met Vijay, who liked it and gave it a green signal. The film is said to be made on a big budget in all languages. After the debacle of Liger, the ‘Rowdy Star’ is in need of some content-heavy films where there is substance and scope for him to act as well.

He already has Shiva Nirvana’s Kushi coming up next. With Gowtam Tinnanuri project also adding to his lineup, things look good for the young actor.

Tamil cinema has witnessed a clash between the two star actors this Diwali. The two movies from Kollywood which were released yesterday are Sivakarthikeyan starrer Prince and Karthi starrer Sardar.

Young hero Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Prince’ movie is directed by Anudeep KV of ‘Jathiratnalu’ fame. Sunil Narang – Puskur Rammohan Rao and D. Produced jointly by Suresh Babu. Manoj Paramahamsa has done the cinematography for this film, which has music composed by S Thaman.

Siva Karthikeyan who is in the rising period with a string of hits had better hype and craze around his film. That craze helped him to have to lead the morning shows. But due to the mixed response to the content from the audience, the film didn’t show any growth after the morning shows which is a worrying sign.

Karthi’s Sardar is directed by Abhimanyudu’s fame P.S. Mithran, Raashi Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan acted as heroines in this. Sardar is produced by S Laxman Kumar under the Prince Pictures banner.

Sardar kept a bit low-key before release, but the movie has got super positive word of mouth. Because of that, it kept growing show after show.

At the box office as per trade circles, Prince has taken the lead over Sardar on the first day at the initial stage due to SK’s star power as said above. But Prince has not seen an upward trend in collections because it is carrying average reports.

While Sardar has got hit reports, it has capitalized from the talk and it is evident from early morning shows.

So it is clear that from the second day onwards Karthi’s Sardar takes the lead and is likely to be the Diwali winner at the box office. Both films have opened with average numbers in their respective day careers though.
