Pushpa created a havoc across indian boxoffice. In the lean season of December the movie went on to collect unimaginable number surpassing many Bollywood movies. It’s dream run in hindi belt has left many trade pundits speechless as straight Hindi films were faltering bigtime.
Pushpa also made fantastic numbers in overseas like USA, UAE, UK etc. The film’s songs, dialogues and mannerism caught attention all over the world. We have even seen football players of Europe imitating Bunny’s thaggedele mannerism.
African tribe also grooved to Srivalli song and such reels became sensation in African countries as well. This is the unforeseen reception Pushpa has got. That’s why it became the talk of the country.
Adding to that hype, the sequel of pushpa is having monstrous buzz in trade circles. The hype is only building. Distributors are asking Pushpa 2 for fancy numbers and makers are quoting higher prices as well.
According to some sources, Producers are asking for over 80 crore rupees just for overseas theatrical rights. Makers are confident that this Sukumar’s movie will create a box office storm like Kgf2 and Bahubali2. Pushpa 2 also has the sequel advantage.
No wonder the expectations of Producers are sky high. However distributors offering huge amounts have to be wary of the huge losses such grand movies have seen like Radheshyam, Acharya but the cycle of buying and selling for high prices continues.
