వాల్తేరు వీరయ్యకు బాక్సాఫీస్ వద్ద 3వ వీకెండ్ బాగానే లాభం తెచ్చింది. 17 రోజులకు ఈ సినిమా షేర్ 125 కోట్లకు చేరువలో ఉండగా, గ్రాస్ 200 కోట్ల మార్కును దాటింది. సైరా నరసింహారెడ్డి తర్వాత చిరంజీవికి ఇది రెండో 200 కోట్ల ప్లస్ గ్రాసర్ గా నిలిచింది.

ఈ సంక్రాంతికి విడుదలైన చిరంజీవి వాల్తేరు వీరయ్య సెన్సేషనల్ స్టార్ట్ ను అందుకుని రెండు వారాల పాటు అదే జోరును కొనసాగించింది. వాస్తవానికి చాలా ప్రాంతాల్లో వాల్తేరు వీరయ్య వీకెండ్స్ మినహా వీక్ డేస్ లో కూడా హౌస్ ఫుల్స్ నమోదు చేయడం విశేషం.

ఈ చిత్రం థియేట్రికల్ రన్ అయిన 6 రోజుల్లోనే బ్రేక్ ఈవెన్ మార్క్ ను సాధించి అతి తక్కువ సమయంలోనే 100 కోట్ల షేర్ ను సాధించింది. ఇలా వాల్తేరు వీరయ్య ఒకదాని తర్వాత మరొకటి రికార్డులు సృష్టిస్తూ వచ్చింది. బాక్సాఫీస్ వద్ద ఈ సినిమా రన్ చాలా మంది ఊహించిన దానికంటే మెరుగ్గా ఉంది.

ఈ చిత్రం సంక్రాంతికి బాలకృష్ణ వీర సింహారెడ్డితో పాటు విడుదలైంది. ఆచార్య, గాడ్ ఫాదర్ వంటి వరుస పరాజయాల తర్వాత మరోసారి బాక్సాఫీస్ వద్ద తన సత్తా చాటిన చిరు, బాలయ్యల మధ్య జరిగిన ఈ పోరులో విజయం సాధించారు.

బాబీ దర్శకత్వంలో రవితేజ, శ్రుతిహాసన్, ప్రకాష్ రాజ్ కీలక పాత్రల్లో నటించిన ఈ చిత్రానికి దేవిశ్రీ ప్రసాద్ సంగీతం అందించారు. మైత్రీ మూవీ మేకర్స్ ఈ చిత్రాన్ని నిర్మించింది.

బాలకృష్ణ నటించిన వీరసింహారెడ్డి ఈ సంక్రాంతికి విడుదలై మిక్స్ డ్ రివ్యూలు, పబ్లిక్ టాక్ తెచ్చుకుంది. అయినప్పటికీ ఈ చిత్రం కలెక్షన్లను సాధించింది. ముఖ్యంగా ఓవర్సీస్ లో మంచి వసూళ్లు రాబట్టి అద్భుతమైన ఓపెనింగ్ వీకెండ్ ను సొంతం చేసుకుంది.

అయితే పండుగ రోజుల తర్వాత అన్ని ఏరియాల్లో ఈ సినిమా బాగా పడిపోయింది. వీకెండ్స్ లో కూడా ఈ సినిమా తక్కువ స్థాయిలోనే కొనసాగింది. ఫెస్టివల్ డే అడ్వాంటేజ్ తో సినిమా బ్రేక్ ఈవెన్ మార్కును చేరుకున్నప్పటికీ కొన్ని చోట్ల మాత్రం ఈ సినిమా తక్కువ స్థాయిలో నష్టాలు తెచ్చుకుంది.

పైన చెప్పినట్టుగా పండగ రోజుల తర్వాత వీర సింహారెడ్డి పడిపోవడం, ఆ తర్వాతి వారాంతాల్లో ఆ సినిమా పూర్తిగా క్రాష్ అవ్వడం, బాలకృష్ణ సినిమాకు లోటుపాట్లు రావడంతో చాలా థియేటర్లలో వాల్తేరు వీరయ్య ఆ సినిమా స్థానాన్ని భర్తీ చేశారు.

వసూళ్లు తగ్గుముఖం పట్టడంతో ఈ సినిమా బాక్సాఫీస్ వద్ద రన్ దాదాపుగా ముగిసిందని ట్రేడ్ వర్గాలు అంటున్నాయి. అయితే ఓపెనింగ్ డే సోలోగా దొరకడంతో పాటు పండగ రోజులు కూడా సినిమాకు హెల్ప్ అయ్యాయి.

నైజాంలో GST, P&P మినహాయించి 15 కోట్ల రూపాయలకు సినిమాను విక్రయించగా.. ఈ సినిమాకు 15 కోట్ల షేర్ రాలేదు. ఉత్తరాంధ్రతో పాటు ఓవర్సీస్, అలాగే రెస్ట్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియాలోనూ, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ లోని కొన్ని ఏరియాల్లోనూ ఈ సినిమాకు తక్కువ నష్టాలు వచ్చాయి. ఓవరాల్ గా వీర సింహా రెడ్డి చిత్రం బాక్సాఫీస్ వద్ద చాలా తక్కువ నష్టాలను తెచ్చుకుని విజయవంతమైన సినిమాగా నిలిచింది.

Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy released for Sankranti and gave provided a solid dose of entertainment to Balayya fans.While the movie received mixed reviews on its opening day, the opening weekend collections were humongous and provided Balayya his career best opening.

Veera Simha Reddy marked the first collaboration between Balakrishna and Gopichand Malineni. The duo were on a career-high with the massive success of Akhanda and Krack respectively and this project released amidst massive expectations.

Tollywood directors are now following the latest trend, that is copying or rehashing the screenplay of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram. Almost all the newly starting Telugu movies are being made with a similar theme of Vikram.

The screen play of Vikram is very different from normal commercial films. Revealing the hero’s face at intermission time in the film worked out brilliantly, and it has an image of an epic in the audience. Even now, also the interval scene of Vikram is highly appreciated in social media with many edits.

Now the Tollywood makers are copying the style of Vikram. Venkatesh and Sailesh Kolanu’s latest film Saindhav is said to be in the same lines of Vikram and the same goes with Pawankalyan and Sujeeth’s film. Dil Raju is one of the busiest producers and distributors of Tollywood churning out one big project after another. Whenever a Tollywood biggie release, one can be assured that Dil Raju would be either associated with it as a producer or a distributor. He has a massive presence in Nizam region and recently with Vijay’s Varisu, he entered Kollywood market as well.

He made a foray into Bollywood as well with Hindi version of Jersey as well as HIT: The First Case. Having worked with all top stars of Tollywood such as Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan Jr NTR, Prabhas among others, his filmography has a great mix of big budget entertainers and small budget dubbed movies.

Recently, reports of his soured relationship with Mahesh Babu surfaced and the producer was asked about the same. There were rumours that the Superstar is unhappy with the producer and will not be allowing him anywhere this project. Answering this question, the ace producer said that he has a great rapport with Mahesh and to squash the rumours, he made an open challenge that he will acquire the distribution rights of Mahesh Babu’s SSMB28.

Staying true to his challenge, he has acquired the Nizam rights of SSMB 28 directed by Trivikram. The film’s shoot is currently going on in Hyderabad and the makers are aiming to release it in August this year.

Waltair Veerayya had a very good 3rd weekend at the box office. For 17 days, the film share will be close to 125 Crores and the gross had crossed 200 Crores mark. This is the 2nd 200 crore+ grosser for Chiranjeevi after Syeraa Narasimha reddy.

Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya which is released for this Sankranthi, had a sensational start and continued the momentum over a couple of weeks. In fact, in several areas, Waltair Veerayya registered house fulls even on weekdays apart from weekends.

The film achieved the Breakeven mark within 6 days of its Theatrical run and achieved 100 crores share in a pretty brief span of time. Waltair Veerayya has been setting one record after another, and the film’s run at the box office has been better than many could have imagined.

The film was released alongside Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy for Sankranti. This clash between Balayya and Chiru was won by Chiru who showcased his famous box office pull yet again after back-to-back setbacks, like Acharya and Godfather.

Directed by Bobby, Waltair Veerayya also stars Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles with Devi Sri Prasad composing the music. Mythri Movie Makers have bankrolled this project.

Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy was released for this Sankranti and opened to mixed reviews and public talk. Despite this, the film performed well, especially overseas, and had an excellent opening weekend.

After the festival the film has drastically dropped in all areas and even on the weekends the film maintained at low level. The festival day’s advantage made the film reach its breakeven mark, but in few territories the film has minimal losses.

As mentioned above, after the festival days Veera Simha Reddy went down and on the subsequent weekends the film has completely crashed, and it was replaced by Waltair Veerayya in many of the theaters as Balakrishna’s film reported deficits.

Seeing the fall in the numbers, trade circles said that the movie has almost ended up its run at the box office. However, it got benefitted because of the big opening day and festival days have too helped the film.

In Nizam, they sold the film at 15Cr excluding GST and P&P the film still has not collected 15Cr worth share, In Uttarandhra too the film has minimal losses, same with Overseas and rest of India and in few areas of Andhra Pradesh. Overall, Veera Simha Reddy is a successful film at the box office with few minimal losses.

Thunivu and Varisu were the two major Kollywood releases for Pongal ending the long wait to see Ajith and Vijay clashing yet again at the box office. The performances of both these Kollywood stars were well appreciated, and the movies received mostly mixed reviews, with particular applause for the lead star’s performances.

Now coming to the box office Thunivu had edge on the first day, but after festival day, Varisu took the lead over Thunivu and Varisu has massive lead in Telugu and Even in Hindi also Varisu posted decent numbers.

Overall, from Telugu and Hindi versions, only Varisu has more than 30Cr+ lead and from Tamil version Varisu has more than 70Cr+ lead. Overall, Vijay hits Ajith in competition by over 100 Crores.

Both Thunivu and Varisu got off to an excellent start at the box office. In Tamil Nadu, Thunivu was the front-runner with having the lead because of a bigger release and secured a solid c 23Cr+ on opening day. Varisu, on the other hand, gathered 20Cr+ on the opening day.

Varisu received lot of trolls for its trailer, producer Dil Raju and director Vamsi Paidipally’s comments, but the film stood strong against all odds because the audience liked it for its neat and family oriented content.

Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan has raked up a massive storm at the box office and looks like it will not stop anytime soon. The action thriller had a record-breaking Day 1 collection making it the highest ever in the history of Indian cinema with a jaw-dropping 56 crores.

Pathaan is continuing the box office rampage overseas as well and has already beaten Baahubali 2 record for 1st-week collections. Baahubali2 was the record Overseas grosser with around $28 Million and a gross of 180Cr. Pathaan has broken this record by a big margin within 5 days. This Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer’s 1st weekend is around $ 25Million which is more than 200Cr gross.

Pathaan was released on Wednesday, a day before Republic Day 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. Pathaan is directed by Siddharth Anand and backed up by Yash Raj Films. The film smashed records even before its release with its incredible advance bookings.

The show count of Pathaan is also being increased to meet the growing demand. Because of growing demands, theater owners in many parts of India had decided to have early morning screenings of the film.
