Can Bheesma Break This Jinx?

Usually post Sankrathi season is considered as dry and drab season in Tollywood. Where no biggie will be released post Sankrathi till March end, even if released will be struggling to perform at Box Office with positive talk.

This year started with 2 back to back BlockBusters which released in Sankrathi season. But later films which released after Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala VaikunthaPurramuloo shockingly become disasters respectively starting with Entha Manchivadavura to World Famous Lover* all the films ended up with single digit shares which include Disco Raja, Aswathama and Jaanu. Next mid range film which is releasing on 21st February is Nithin’s Bheeshma, Can this film break this jinx and fare well at Box-office ?

Bheeshma should collect around 23Crs to attain Hit status which is hard task ahead considering Nithin’s previous films Srinivasa Kalyanam & Chal Mohan Ranga which collected less than 13Crs.

Megastar Chiranjeevi and star Director Koratala upcoming movie was supposed to have a special role for Mega Power Star Ram Charan but SS Rajamouli had a pact with RRR heroes that they are not allowed to have a release before RRR. This is forcing Chiranjeevi to push his film with Koratala to next year which he didn’t like.

Instead of Charan, Koratala is now considering to offer the same role to Superstar Mahesh so that they can target for a release this Dasara. Koratala Siva and Chiranjeevi share a good rapport with Mahesh but would be interesting if he accepts this offer.

Mahesh has never been seen in cameos or special appearances before. It would be a treat for both Mega fans and Superstar fans if these two superstars share the screen together.

Nithin who has hit a lean patch with duds like Chal Mohan Ranga, Srinivasa Kalyanam will be hoping to revive his winning habit with next project, ‘Bheeshma’. The Trailer of the film is out 4 days ahead of its release.

It shows the commercial angle of the film, with chemical farming plot line and portrayed Nithin in a play boy character who is desperate about the girls. Seems like action sequences are well directed, production values looks top notch and the trailer is promising about entertainment in the movie with Vennela kishore, Sudershan Reddy and Raghu babu.

Bheesma is being directed by Venky Kudumula who worked as assistant director under Trivikram Srinivas, after scoring blockbuster with Chalo with his debut and the film is producing by Naga Vamsi on Sithara Entertainments.

This Film is an important step for the young hero to give the much-needed boost to his career and ensure that it reaches the next level. The film is said to be a beautiful love story. Mani Sharma’s son, Sagar Mahathi is composing the music and Sai Sriram is cranking the camera for this movie.

VTeaser Gets Phenomenal Response

The teaser of VTheMovie starring Natural Star Nani and Sudheer Babu directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti was released today and is getting phenomenal response among the netizens.

The teaser is a slick cut of 1:03 minute duration with a cat and mouse chase theme between the protagonist and antagonist. The background score by Thaman is good. Nani who always played door next boy characters has turned antagonist with this movie. Mohan Krishna Indraganti is known for making different genres has come up with thriller genre this time.

VTheMovie is being produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hydari pair up with Sudheer Babu and Nani. Music by Amit Trivedi. VTheMovie is scheduled to release for Ugadi on March 25th.

RRR sets All Time Indian Record for USA Pre-Release Business

SSRajamouli directorial Pan India film RRR starring Young Tiger NTR and Mega Power Star Ram Charan has set all time Indian record for pre release business in USA.

RRR USA rights were sold for 40.25cr making it the biggest in this area. The breakeven Mark is around $11M. Only 3 Indian films (Baahubali2, Padmaavat and Dangal) have crossed this mark.

SS Rajamouli previous film Baahubali2 holds the all time record in USA as it collected $20.5M in all languages with Telugu version alone being $12.4M.Can RRR break it? We will have to wait and see!

RRR is supposed to Release in July of this year but due delay in shooting part and as the post production work need much more time. The team has now decided to Release it on 8th January Worldwide in 10+ Languages. This film is bankrolled by D.V.V Danayya under DVV Entertainments banner.

New Venue for Sarileru Neekevvaru 50 Days Celebrations!

Mahesh Babu’s SarileruNeekevvaru which released on 11th January is still running successfully and recording fulls on weekends even in its 6th week.

The team is planning to organise a special event to celebrate this Blockbuster success with fans and distributors on March 1st as the film will complete 50 Days of its theatrical run. Initially they planned this event in Vijayawada, but due to some reasons the team did not get permission from Vijayawada Police Department. Now the team has decided to shift the venue to Kurnool and an official confirmation is awaited yet.

Sarileru Neekevvaru is directed by Anil Ravipudi co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Music composed by Devi Sri Prasad and this film is produced under AK Entertainments, GMB Entertainments and Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.
