Prabhas’s Adipurush OTT release partner locked

It is very well known to everyone that the most awaited movie of Prabhas – Om Raut’s Adipurush is just 6 days away from its worldwide release. The expectations around the movie are sky-high, be it in the Prabhas fans, neutral audience or even the trade circles. The grand Pre Release event of the film was held recently, and it was a massive success. The unit showed confidence in the film’s content and success. Now what’s more surprising is that the movie has locked its OTT partner even before the release.

According to the reports, Adipurush digital rights for all languages have been bought by Amazon Prime Video for a massive price. The film will have a considerable craze even for the OTT release, so we can say that the OTT giant Amazon Prime Video has got a jackpot with buying the rights of Adipurush.

The team of Adipurush has made superb promotions for the film. At first, the film did not have the required hype for its genre, but everything changed from the release of Jai Shri Ram Song and the subsequent songs were also well received by the audience. Ajay – Atul the music directors of Adipurush have done an incredible job in getting the best possible craze for the film and the final trailer of the film was also superb and raised the expectations.

Adipurush, the modern adaptation of the epic Ramayana, is directed by Om Raut and produced on a massive scale by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles. Prabhas will be seen as Lord Ram in the film, while Kriti Sanon appears as Janaki. Sunny Singh plays the role of Lakshman and Deva Dutta Nage plays Lord Hanuman. Bollywood Actor Saif Ali Khan will be seen as Raavan. Adipurush releases in theaters on June 16, 2023.

Nani and Nazriya’s romantic comedy Ante Sundaraniki was released in theaters on 10th June last year and opened to mostly positive talk from audiences. The film was fun, breezy, and wholesome in most parts, yet, it failed to establish a connection with the larger Telugu audiences due to its unique narrative style which unfortunately did not go well with the taste of them.

Owing to this, the film failed to obtain passing marks at the theatrical level and ended up as an average venture. There were numerous reasons for the movie underperforming in theaters. Firstly, the saturation of releases in the summer of 2022 and even in June’s first week resulted in the audience feeling exhausted to watching another film.

However, all was not sad, as Ante Sundaraniki had passed with flying colors at the OTT platform. Ante Sundaraniki was released on Netflix after 4 weeks of the theatrical release and had received a tremendous response from netizens. The movie also trended at no 1 for the Telugu version and no 6 for the Tamil version.

Actor Arjun Das joins Pawan Kalyan’s OG sets

Pawan Kalyan’s OG is one of the most hyped movies in Tollywood with stylish director Sujeeth and Powerstar joining hands for the first time. The movie will star Priyanka Arul Mohan opposite Pawan Kalyan and is touted to be a stylish gangster movie with loads of action.

Recently, actor Prakash Raj joined the sets of the film and now another exciting addition has been made to the film’s cast. Tamil actor Arjun Das who shot to fame with his performance in Kaithi and Master has joined the film’s cast just today. Arjun was recently seen in his Tollywood debut with Butta Bomma and was also seen in Kamal Haasan’s last year’s blockbuster Vikram.

The unit is in plans to have continuous schedules and complete the movie in 6 months

It is very well known to everyone that Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently working with director Anil Ravipudi for an action entertainer. The film is titled as Bhagavanth Kesari, the first teaser of the film was unveiled this morning on the occasion of NBK’s 63rd birthday. The teaser looked terrific and received thunderous response from all over.

Meanwhile, it was said that Balakrishna will work with director Bobby for his next film, tentatively titled NBK109. Today the makers of NBK109 have revealed their conceptual poster which is very intriguing. If we observe the poster, it has weapons along with Mansion House Bottles. This combination is quite interesting and as of now, a small amount of curiosity has been raised about the film and its content.

All new releases failed miserably at box office

The Tollywood box office has been pretty cold for a while with films failing one after other. Starting in April, new releases like Agent, Shaakuntalam, Ramabanam, Ravanasura, Anni Manchi Sakunamule, Custody, Malli Pelli, Nenu Student Sir etc. have all failed to impress the audience and brought great losses to the producers.

Barring Virupaksha, all the films have registered huge losses in all territories and this is why makers had placed hopes on a bunch of films releasing today. This week we saw the release of small-budget films like Takkar, Intinti Ramayanam, Vimanam, and Unstoppable. Unfortunately, all these films have failed and registered poor collections and extremely low occupancy all over.

With this low phase of Tollywood continuing, it’s all up to Prabhas’ Adipurush to pull the exhibitors out of the losses. The reception received by songs from the film and the new trailer has given the makers much-needed confidence ahead of Adipurush’s release on June 16th. The advance bookings and buzz for Adipurush is actually solid and it might just be the film that’ll help out the exhibitors as well as the industry.

Gopichand is collaborating with Kannada director for a new film

Macho star Gopichand, whose recent film Rama Banam became a big failure at the box office, is collaborating with renowned Kannada filmmaker A Harsha for his 31st film. The movie will be produced by KK Radhamohan as Production No 14 on his Sri Sathya Sai Arts banner.

The Pooja ceremony was officially held recently at the film desk in the presence of the team. The producer states that the director has prepared a powerful scenario to present Gopichand in a new avatar. The shoot of the movie is scheduled to begin this month. The official update and more details about the project will be out on June 12th.

A Harsha, who delivered many blockbuster films in Kannada is making his debut in the Telugu Film Industry with this movie. He reportedly came up with a massive action entertainer packed with a good dose of family emotions and other elements. This kind of stories perfectly suit Gopichand, and we wish that this action hero gets to deliver a solid hit at the box office.

Prabhas’ magnum opus Adipurush is just a week away from its release and speculations on a grand opening number at the box office are becoming stronger with every passing day. The film has managed to erase the negativity that its first teaser generated back in October last year. The reception received by songs from the film and the new trailer has given the makers much-needed confidence ahead of Adipurush’s release on June 16th.

The advance bookings are already in the range of $220K despite limited shows (as many Hollywood films are releasing at the same time). The film is expected to open with million-dollar premieres and a non-Baahubali record opening for Prabhas. Even in the domestic market, the film is projected to bring out record numbers surpassing this year’s highest opening day grosser Pathaan. Industry insiders are confident of Adipurush surpasses Shahrukh Khan’s spy thriller by a comfortable margin.

Adipurush will be 2 hours 59 minutes in duration with some grand VFX and stunning visuals being featured throughout the film. This is the longest Prabhas movie in duration surpassing Baahubali 2. While the runtime is slightly longer compared to other films today, showcasing some epic portions of Ramayana certainly needs some time and the audience definitely won’t complain if the depiction is engaging.

On the occasion of Balakrishna’s birthday, the makers have released a roaring teaser giving the audience a peek into the world of Bhagvanth Kesari. As always, Balayya’s screen presence and fight sequences have stood out. But, this time, there’s a twist, his costumes and characterization are different with the senior actor sporting a white beard as well.

Theft in producer Bellamkonda Suresh’s car

Bellamkonda Suresh, who is known as the producer of many hit films, is in the news after a theft happened in his car. Reportedly, Bellamkonda parked his Benz car in front of Sai Ganesh Productions office at Journalist Colony in Jubilee Hills. However, on Friday morning, his wife noticed that the rear window of the car was broken. After this, he took out his car pocket and checked it, but the valuables in it were missing. In this theft, an amount of Rs. 50,000 in cash and 11 bottles of adulterated medicine were found to have been stolen.

Alarmed by this, Bellamkonda’s wife Padmavathi lodged a complaint with the police. The police reached the spot immediately and examined the CCTV footage. It is expected that the assailants would have noticed the presence of cash and liquor bottles in the car. Now the police are investigating why did they put the cash inside the car while parking? They are expressing doubt as to why liquor bottles were put in the car.

It is suspected that the thieves would have noticed this and may have committed this theft. But if the security guard was present at the time, how could he did not hear the sound of while the theft as the car’s rear window was broken? As of now, a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
