Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 in final stage of shooting

It is very well known to everyone that South Indian Cinema’s biggest directors Shankar and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan are currently working on their much awaited sequel Indian 2/ Bharateeyudu 2. The film faced many hurdles during the shooting, but however Shankar and team have managed to get back things to normal and now the inside reports strongly suggest that the film’s shooting is in its final stage.

Indian 2 movie’s complete shooting is said to be wrapped up by the end of this month. Also, there is no change in the release date and the film is all set to be released during the 2024 Pongal/Sankranthi season.

Director Shankar is very well known for mixing social message with commercial elements on a grand scale, but with his recent past films he made a mistake of focusing on VFX and graphics, which the audience disliked as they watch his movies for strong content. With Indian 2, he is again trying to score success by making the movie in his strong zone and reportedly the film’s content will be massive.

Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies, which distributed Kamal Haasan’s previous release, Vikram, teamed up with the actor for Indian 2. While the film was to be produced by Lyca Productions, Red Giant will be co producing along with distributing it across the Tamil Nadu State.

Other than Kamal Haasan, the film also has Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander, who composed the brilliant album for Kamal Haasan’s Vikram is composing music for Indian 2 too.

After continuous delays, the team is now planning a non-stop schedule from the month of July. From July, the movie’s team expected to shoot without any breaks and the team is locking the dates of all the artists according to their plan to avoid any further delay.

The team of Guntur Kaaram wants to complete the film by November at any cost and to release the film on Sankranthi as per plan. It is being reported that a huge house set has been erected in Hyderabad and most of the shooting will take place there only. Let’s wish that at least from now on Guntur Kaaram will continue the shooting without any hurdles.

Yes it’s true, the news of Tamil Superstar Thalapathy Vijay entering politics is the latest news surrounding in the media circles. Though Vijay did not directly hint at entering politics, he often elaborates on politics and voting and even in his films he puts some dialogues about politics and in the recent students meet also he said with the students how political parties function and asked first-time voters to be careful of their choices.

He cautioned students against bribes for votes and said, “You are tomorrow’s voters. You will be electing the future leaders. We are poking our own eyes with our hands, by getting money for votes. Consider a politician giving Rs 1000 to a voter in a constituency that has 1.5 lakh voters. How much he must have given as a bribe, nearly 15 crores? If a person gives a bribe of Rs 15 crore, think how much he must have earned before that! I want all this to be a part of your educational system. There will be a change if you go and tell your parents that they should not get money to vote.”

The felicitation event for Classes 10 and 12, was organized by his fan club, All Indian Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. Multiple pictures and videos of the actor were spread as he interacted with young students, and took their gifts, became viral on social media. The actor who is currently working on Leo sat down with the students without the attitude of a Star, and the fans appreciated his simplicity. He wore a yellow shirt and jeans for the special event.

For the unknown, Vijay’s father and veteran actor/director SA Chandrasekhar started a political party called the All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam with him as General Secretary and mother Shoba Chandrasekhar as treasurer. Later, the party turned into a welfare organization and also contested the election of the local body in Tamil Nadu and won. The actor also met face-to-face with party members and congratulated them on winning 115 seats.

Overall, this is the hot buzz in Tamil circles that Thalapathy Vijay is likely to quit the movies and enter into politics and will contest on 2026 Elections. However, as of now it is just a rumor and Vijay’s PR team is expected to respond to this to make an official statement and stop the gossip.

It is a very common thing in the film industry to hype the budget figures to attract the audiences. However, every so often the producers or the film unit goes overboard with this promotional tactic. If we observe the recent films of Pan Indian star Prabhas, there appears to be a hyped publicity regarding the budget of the films.

Each film of Prabhas after Baahubali 2, like Saaho , Radhe Shyam and Adipurush, every film was projected as a big budgeted film and the makers themselves announced officially like 400 Crores budget film and 500 Crores budget film. These numbers will be helpful to the film to create the buzz as audiences always want to watch bigger films on screen.

However, the same publicity of big budget and hyped numbers can go wrong because after watching the film the audiences will be disappointed if their expectations are not matched with the film’s content.

Saaho, Radhe Shyam and Adipurush all movies were heavily publicized as big budget films and producers said they have spent mammoth amounts of money on the films but all the films have failed to match the audience’s expectations on both content wise and quality wise.

In a serious turn of events, the Tamil Producer Council has said to be issued a Red Card to the following actors.

  • Silambarasan TR (Due to Corona Kumar issue)
  • Vishal (Issue with Lyca Production and another one producer)
  • SJ Suryah (Issue with Studio Green Production House)
  • Yogi Babu
  • Atharvaa

It is being reported that after receiving the complaints of producers on these actors, the producers’ council has issued red cards to these actors. The main reason for the producers’ council to take these severe action is said to be the dates issue.

According to the reports, all the actors have not given the dates to the producers as per the commitment after taking the advances. So, the council decided that these actors should not be part of any Tamil Cinema from now. They should solve the issues with the producers and have to get their Red Card dismissed so that they can be allowed for the shootings.

As the producers’ council has decided not to cooperate with the films of the actors like Simbu, Vishal, SJ Suryah, Atharva, and Yogi Babu, these actors have been told to get help from the Actors’ Union. Now it is being said that they are also planning to take the next step based on the response from the actors’ association.
