Tillu Square postpones the release date

In the Telugu film industry, a movie’s release date getting affected by another movie’s release date and getting postponed is not a new thing. Usually, small or medium budget films will postpone their films to give a way to big budget films or star heroes films. Once again such an incident is happening in Tollywood as the craziest sequel of the film, DJ Tillu, which is titled as Tillu Square postpones its release date.

At first, the movie’s makers had announced that Tillu Square will be released on 15th September as Vinayaka Chavithi special, but now it is being reported that the movie is planning to postpone the release date to the 1st week of October and most probably it will hit the screens on October 6,2023.

Tillu Square, the sequel to the blockbuster movie DJ Tillu (2022) has a good craze around it. The film was initially almost fixed to be released on the Independence Weekend in August, but later it got postponed to September and again now the release date changed to October. Directed by Mallik Ram, the film stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran. Anupama has replaced Neha Shetty in the second installment of this crazy sequel.

In the first part, which was directed by Vimal Krishna, Siddhu played Tillu, a DJ, whose life gets ruined, and he gets into many problems when his lover Radhika accidentally murders her ex-boyfriend. The film was one of the surprise hits of 2022 in the Telugu Film Industry.

Sai Prakash Ummadisingu has handled the cinematography of Tillu Square while Navin Nooli has looked after the editing of the film. Ram Miryala is the music composer. Tillu Square is produced by Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas. The film will be presented by Srikara Studios.

Nandamuri Balakrishna and actress Sree Leela will grace the upcoming TANA conference. If the inside reports are to be believed, Balakrishna is on his way to the US on July 5. It is being reported that received a special invitation from TANA (Telugu Association of North America). Balakrishna will leave on July 5 to meet the Telugu people in America and participate in those meetings. Sree Leela will also participate in the same meetings. After returning to India from there, the shooting of ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ will start again.

The 23rd conference of Telugu Association of North America (TANA) will be arranged from July 7 – 9 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

Balakrishna, Sree Leela and the other star cast are currently participating in the shooting of ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’. The climax portion scenes are being shot at present. It is learned that the schedule will continue until July 5. Thereafter, the unit will take a short break.

Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia has been selected as the 23rd TANA Conference Venue, The TANA conference will be held from July 7th to 9th, 2023 in Pennsylvania Convention Center. Since last night, the rumors of Power Star Pawan Kalyan having problems in his marriage with his third wife, Anna Lezhneva were doing rounds in the media. Although there was no official confirmation of this, many media handles reported that the divorce was almost certain. However Pawan Kalyan gave a slipper shot to all the divorce rumors with an official statement.

The tweet from official handle of JSP read “Jana Sena Party President Shri Pawan Kalyan garu and Smt. Ana Konidela participated in the Pooja held at their residence in Hyderabad to mark the completion of the first phase of Vaarahi Vijaya Yatra. Shri Pawan Kalyan and Smt. Ana Konidela performed the religious duties. The next phase of the Vaarahi Vijay Yatra will begin in a few days. Shri Pawan Kalyan will reach Mangalagiri soon to participate in the preparatory meetings in this regard.”

All the major media channels have reported that Pawan Kalyan is taking the divorce and this response from Pawan Kalyan and his official party handle is a slipper shot reply to all. The PSPK fans are angry at all the media handles that it’s ok to post the rumors of divorce, but several known media channels had almost declared that the divorce is confirmed which is not at all a good way of reporting the news.

Some netizens and Pawan Kalyan fans are strongly saying that all the false news of Pawan and Anna’s divorce was a part of the political agenda of YSRCP Party, which tried to malign the image of Pawan Kalyan in public.

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s 21st film, untitled NKR21 has been announced with a massy first look or should I say, a ‘fist’ look poster. It is very clear from the poster that this film is going to be high on action and violence.

The producers of the blockbuster film Ala Ela, Ashoka Creations are returning after a long gap of nearly 9 years. Early reports also suggest that this film is going to be the highest-ever budget in Kalyan Ram’s career.

The film is being produced by Ashok Vardhan Muppa and Sunil Balusu under the Ashoka Creations banner. It has been written and directed by Pradeep Chilukuri, who has previously directed the film Raja Cheyyi Vesthe. And the screenplay is by Hari Krishna Bhandari.

As of now, these are the only announcements. But it is being said that this film will have a stellar cast and crew.

Meanwhile, another huge update has come from Kalyan Ram. A very exciting glimpse of his Spy thriller Devil has dropped today. Naga Shourya Responds About Health Issues On Rangabali Sets

During the shooting of Naga Shourya’s Rangabali, it was reported that an ambulance had arrived on sets. This was due to some health issues pertaining to actor Naga Shourya. When asked, why take such a big risk, this is what Naga Shourya had to say.

“I came to please the audience, and that is the job that I have chosen.” He further added that there is currently a lot of competition in the industry. Everyone is doing crazy stunts, action sequences, and extraordinary dance sequences. So at a time like this, we should give our best.

“Some health issues and injuries will happen once in a while. But these are all a part of the profession” he stated. “This is the profession that I have chosen and success only comes with hard work” he concluded.

This is not the first time that Naga Shourya has faced health issues on the sets of his films. Even last year, he fainted during the shooting process and he also met with an accident on one occasion. While hard work is imperative for success, we hope that Naga Shourya also keeps his health in mind.

Keeping this aside, his film Rangabali is all set to release in a couple of days. There is decent hype and buzz for the film thanks to the Spoof interview and that dance number featuring Jaani Master. The film is all set to release on July 7th in theatres.

Krithi Shetty’s new Tamil big budget film launched officially

After recently appearing in Naga Chaitanya’s Custody, actress Krithi Shetty bagged a new Tamil big budget film titled Genie, which was launched officially this morning. Jayam Ravi plays the lead role in the film. Apart from this film, Krithi Shetty also stars in the Malayalam industry’s prestigious project Ajayante Random Moshanam starring Tovino Thomas in the lead role.

Genie was launched in Chennai with the cast and crew members being present at the event. Krithi Shetty, Wamiqa Gabbi, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Devayani are other actors part of the star cast. AR Rahman, who composed music for PS 1 and 2, will be joining hands with Jayam Ravi again for this project.

The film marks the 25th venture of Vels International, and according to the official press release, the production is planning to make it on a massive scale. Yanick Ben, a popular stunt choreographer who has worked in several Hollywood and International films, is roped in to handle the action sequences. Mahesh Muthusamy will be handling the cinematography and editing by Pradeep E Raghav.

Ponniyin Selvan of Mani Ratnam has helped the career of actor Jayam Ravi, who appeared in the title role in historical fiction film. The actor today launched a big budget project titled Genie, produced by Vels International, which recently directed the Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu of T R Silambarasan. The film will be the biggest project in Jayam Ravi’s career after Ponniyin Selvan. Arjunan Jr, who worked as an assistant director of Mysskin, will be making his debut with the project.

Kajol and Kriti Sanon are set to star in the OTT giant Netflix production’s film, titled Do Patti, a film being made by Writer Kanika Dhillon. Presented as a captivating story, the Netflix movie marks Dhillon’s first production under its new name, Kathha Pictures.

The writer, whose movie credits include Kedarnath, Manmarziyaan and Haseen Dillruba, stated that she hopes that her production house will become a platform that empowers stories and storytellers.

Kriti will be seen alongside Kajol eight years after SRK’s Dilwale and she will also co-produce Do Patti under her banner, Blue Butterfly Films. She took to Instagram and wrote, ‘Thrilled to announce DO PATTI! Alongside 3 very strong-headed, inspiring and immensely talented women!’

Ever since the film, Salaar was announced in the combination of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel, there was a constant curiosity among audiences that Salaar will be a part of Prashant Neel universe with a link to the KGF series. Samantha is taking a long break from shootings for treatment

Samantha has decided to take a break from work in order to focus on her health and recovery. Samantha has been packed with work for quite some time and was seen traveling across Europe shooting for her film Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda, as well as for Citadel with Varun Dhawan and the rest of the team.

After completing her current projects, the actress might take a break. She is undergoing treatment for her autoimmune disease, Myositis, and we hear that Samantha has decided to take time off to recoup after a hectic schedule. The actress has also reportedly returned the advances to the makers of her upcoming projects and will not be signing any films for some time now.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu started the year with the promotions of her Pan India film Shaakuntalam, which released in April 2023. On the other hand, talking about her upcoming projects, Samantha will be seen alongside Vijay Deverakonda in Kushi which will be exploring their romantic chemistry for the first time. 2023 1st Half Box Office – Telugu Version Top 5 Movies

The first half of the year has been an interesting one for the Telugu Film Industry. While the year opened to some record-breaking numbers thanks to Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veeraya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy, the latter part of the first half has very little to boast in terms of box office.

While some highly anticipated films such as Adipurush, Agent, and Shaakunthalam failed miserably, some films such as the recent Samajavaragamana and Balagam came as a sweet surprise.

Now let us take a look at the Top 5 performing Telugu Movies at the box office in the first half of the 2023, that is from January-June. Note that all of the mentioned figures are share collections and are only restricted to the Telugu version of the film.

In Number 5 we have Sai Dharam Tej’s mystic thriller Virupaksha. One of the best thrillers in Telugu cinema in recent times. It is sad, but true that films like these do not come as often in Telugu cinema. But when they do come, the audiences are ready to accept the film. Virupaksha managed to attract a large section of the audience to the theatres and as a result, ended up with a total share collection of 47 crores.

Number 4 on the list belongs to Nani’s Dasara. A drama and a story that we have all seen before but presented in a very different manner. The raw and rustic feel of the movie impressed everyone, and the movie emerged with 62 crores.

Next, Number 3 belongs to Balayya’s Veera Simha Reddy, with a collection of 74 crores.

At number 2 is, Prabhas’ Adipurush. Despite the criticism and negativity around the film, it has still managed to cross the 100 crore mark. This is largely due to Prabhas’ stardom in the Telugu states. The film ended up with 107 crores for the Telugu version alone.

And the highest collections for the first half of the year goes to none other than the Boss himself. Waltair Veeraya has emerged on top with a share collection of 129 crores.

So, that was the list of the Top 5 Telugu Movies at the box office for the first half of 2023.
