Bro The Avatar, the upcoming fantasy entertainer directed by actor and director Samuthirakani, and starring Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej will be released on July 28th. The team has begun the promotions, the trailer, and censor formalities have been completed recently. The Pre release event of the film is presently happening in Shilpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad and streaming live on YouTube.

The film’s director and actor Samuthirakhani has revealed an interesting fact that Power Star Pawan Kalyan had kept fasting for the entire shooting days of Bro The Avatar. He said that Pawan Kalyan worked very hard for the movie. It is a normal thing for heroes to go physical transformation for the films, but Pawan Kalyan keeping fasting for the entire part of shooting is really great.

Samuthirakani said that he was able to make the film only thanks to Trivikram in the writing. Trivikram said that he wanted to make this story accessible to more people and which is why they narrated the story to Pawan. The actor – director confirmed that t only took the spirit of the original Tamil film, Vinodhaya Sitam and made changes to suit the stardom of Pawan Kalyan.

Priya Prakash Varrier, Ketika Sharma, Brahmanandam, Rohini Molleti, Subbaraju, Tanikella Bharani, and Raja Chembolu play crucial roles in the film. TG Vishwa Prasad produced the film, Bro The Avatar under the banner of People Media Factory along with ZEE Studios. Trivikram Srinivas, the close aide of Pawan Kalyan handled the writing of the film.

Vivek Agnihotri, who directed the successful yet controversial movie The Kashmir Files, recently shared his thoughts on what he thought went wrong with Prabhas and Om Raut’s Adipurush with the media. He said that the stories of faith must be made with solid beliefs in them, and they should not be taken up just like that.

Adipurush, the Om Raut’s directorial has been universally criticized for the wrong portrayal of an epic Ramayana, poor quality VFX and below – par dialogues. Initially, the movie, which featured Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in key roles, raked in sensational numbers, but soon fell flat at the box office. Vivek Agnihotri, the director of The Kashmir Files, spoke to the media about what he believed actually went wrong with Adipurush.

Talking more about it, Vivek said, “When you make something you don’t believe in, just because it is working nowadays, you are definitely going to go wrong. When you pick up stories of faith, either you yourself should have a 100% conviction or you should be well versed in the subject like a historian, but unfortunately, no one does that in India.”

“If someone comes on screen and says, Hey, I’m God, it doesn’t make you God. If you are being driven home drunk every night, you cannot turn around tomorrow and say I’m God, believe me. Nobody is going to believe that. People are not idiots,” he finished.

Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai 1 released earlier this year and was received with critical acclaim as well as a big success at the box office. The ace director has recently begun shooting the remaining portions of the sequel in the Sirumalai forest in Dindigul district. It is well known that Soori was the main protagonist in the first part, playing the role of an honest police constable who helps his department to catch the social activist Vaathiyaar (Vijay Sethupathi) who is accused of being a terrorist by the police and the government.

‘Viduthalai 2’ will show the life and rise of Vaathiyaar and hence it will have Vijay Sethupathi having importance throughout the film compared to the extended screen space in the first part. Now it has been reported that Vijay Sethupathi will have a heroine role in the story, and Vetrimaaran has selected Mollywood Lady Superstar Manju Warrier for the role.

Manju has already collaborated with Vetrimaaran in ‘Asuran’, playing Dhanush’s wife, which was her Tamil debut as well. After that she appeared in ‘Thunivu’ in which she shared screen space with Ajith and is currently playing the main villain role in ‘Mr. X’ that has Gautham Karthik and Arya in the lead roles.

Manju Warrier’s involvement in ‘Viduthalai 2’ will be officially announced once the agreement has been finalized. The film has music by Ilayaraja and is produced by Elred Kumar with Vijay Sethupathi, Soori, Bhavani Sre, Gautham Menon, Rajiv Menon, Balaji Shakthivel,Thamizh, Prakash Raj and Surya Vijay Sethupathi playing the major roles.

Ravi K Chandran roped in as the new DOP for Guntur Kaaram

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram has undergone another massive crew change. The film’s DOP PS Vinod moved out of the project with date issues as the shootings got continuously delayed and he had other commitments. Guntur Kaaram team has now roped in ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran as the new DOP for the film.

This project will mark the reunion of Mahesh Babu and Ravi K Chandran after Bharat Ane Nenu which incidentally was his debut Telugu project. The film’s shoot has faced several delays and hiccups and earlier saw the exit of lead actress Pooja Hegde. There were also reports of SS Thaman’s exit and it needs to be seen how the film progresses through its production stage. The next schedule will start in August 1st week Mahesh will join in August 3rd week.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Guntur Kaaram marks the third collaboration between him and Superstar Mahesh Babu after Athadu and Khaleja. The project is being produced under the Haarika and Hassine Creations banner and is slated to release on January 13th.

Pooja’s ouster from the movie has now opened the door for Meenakshi Choudhury. Sreeleela, who will be sharing the screen with Mahesh for the first time along with Meenakshi.

Siva Karthikeyan back to success track with Maaveeran

It is very well known to everyone that Siva Karthikeyan had scored a big disaster with his last film, Prince, both in Telugu and Tamil languages. Now with Mahaveerudu he is back to success streak as the movie became a decent success at the box office thanks to an interesting storyline and a good amount of entertainment.

Maaveeran has collected 47 Crores gross in Tamil Nadu and close to 75 Crores gross worldwide until now. It has performed good in the Telugu version (Mahaveerudu) as well with collecting decent numbers in the Telugu states too with around 4.5 Crores gross. In Telugu, the film has ended its run, but in Tamil, it’s likely to perform for a few more days as there are no notable releases until Rajinikanth’s Jailer arrives.

Mandela director Madonne Ashwin, who had won the National Award for the film, has directed Maaveeran, starring Siva Karthikeyan and Aditi Shankar in the lead roles. The film’s music is composed by Bharath Shankar. The cinematographer is Vidhu Ayyanna while the editor is Philomin Raj.

In Maaveeran, Sivakarthikeyan essays the role of a cartoonist who is a righteous man but a coward who does not want to be involved in any kind of trouble. But one day he gets the power of a superhero in the form of his inner voice.
