0

Finally, the makers of Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, officially announced that the film will now hit theatres on December 12, 2025, with special premieres scheduled for December 11. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the movie brings back the powerful combination that made the first Akhanda a massive success.

The team has applied GOs for both Telugu states’ governments again, and the ticket rates will be the same as before, with a 600 Rs flat rate for premieres and a small hike for regular shows. Just for the new dates, the team has applied the hike permission.

Balakrishna’s fans were disappointed with the film’s postponement, but with the announcement of the 12th December date and premieres on December 11 for Akhanda 2,  they are ready to show their energy in the theaters and want another blockbuster from their favorite hero.

The new release date poster reveals Balakrishna in a divine and intense avatar, holding a Thrishoolam and surrounded by fiery visuals. The film is presented by M Tejeswini Nandamuri and produced by Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta, and Ishan Saksena, with music composed by Thaman S. The sequel is also being released in 3D.

Industry Losing Over Akhanda 2 Silence

0

The recent controversy and the confusion around the release of Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 are still unresolved, and it is affecting the other films set to be released this week, along with the entire Telugu film industry.

The producers of the film committed a significant error by delaying the resolution of the financial issues until the final moments. They were aware of all the problems much earlier, but did not try to solve them and postponed the film at the last minute due to financial hurdles, which resulted in the 5th December release date going to waste for other films as well.

Now, unofficially, they have informed everyone about a 12th December release, but there is still no official announcement. Because of this, the other films, such as Mowgli 2025, which has already been announced for 12th December, are in a dilemma, and they have paused their promotions.

If Akhanda 2 doesn’t release on 12th December either, another release date will be wasted, and it is upon the makers to clear the confusion among the industry circles around its release date and make an official announcement regarding the same.

0

With the recent confirmation of Aamir Khan that he and Lokesh Kanagaraj are still in talks about a superhero subject, there has been new confusion for the fans about who will lead the dream project of the director.

It looks like Lokesh Kanagaraj’s team is working on his dream project, a superhero film, with two options for the lead: Allu Arjun or Aamir Khan. The production house seems to be confirmed as Mythri Movie Makers. Now, we need to see who will finally lead this film.

But the first option is likely to be Allu Arjun for both director and production house, as he is more bankable than Aamir at the current stage. If the Pushpa 2 actor does not agree, then the film is likely to go for Aamir Khan.

Let’s hope things get official soon and clear up the fans’ confusion about Lokesh Kanagaraj’s dream project.

Akhanda 2 Postponement Hits This Director Hard

Director Sandeep Raj has shared a deeply emotional note after learning that his upcoming film, Mowgli 2025, will be postponed. The movie was originally scheduled for release on December 12th, but it now has to move to a later date because Akhanda 2, which was first planned for December 5th, is arriving on the 12th instead because of unresolved financial issues.

Sandeep Raj’s message has touched many people. His journey in cinema has been filled with passion, struggle, and setbacks. His debut film, Colour Photo, was a heartfelt project that deserved a proper theatrical release, but it ended up streaming directly on OTT. Although the film became a considerable hit and earned several awards, Sandeep never got the chance to see “Directed by Sandeep Raj” appear on the big screen, isomething he had dreamed of since beginning his career.

In his post, Sandeep expressed that both Colour Photo and Mowgli faced bad luck with their releases. He even wondered if he might be the “bad luck,” admitting that he has felt that way because his dream of seeing his name on the big screen seems to get further away. He jokingly added that the “silver screen hates” him.

Furthermore, he sincerely hoped that the film would receive all the success it deserves, at least for the sake of the hardworking team behind it. Though the delay is disappointing, fans believe Mowgli 2025 will get its moment and that its success will make up for all the hurdles.

Senior actor Rajasekhar suffered an injury on the sets of his upcoming film. On November 25, while filming an intense action sequence near Medchal, he seriously injured his right leg. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors performed an emergency surgery. The procedure lasted nearly three hours, during which plates and wires were fixed to support the damaged bone.

According to the film unit, Rajasekhar’s condition is now stable. Doctors have advised him to take complete rest for three to four weeks. If his recovery goes as expected, he is likely to resume shooting by January 2026.

Rajasekhar, known across Tollywood for his “Angry Young Man” image, began his journey as a doctor before entering films. Over the years, he built a strong reputation as both a lead actor and a character artiste. His intense performances and varied roles earned him a special place among mass audiences. After a brief gap in his career, he has recently been signing back-to-back projects and maintaining a busy schedule.

Rajasekhar is known for performing his own stunts, and during the action sequence on November 25, he once again stepped in without using a body double. However, a misstep caused a severe injury near his ankle, and insiders reveal that the impact was so strong that the bone was nearly exposed.

The team did not waste a moment and immediately transported him to the hospital. Seeing the seriousness of the injury, doctors decided on urgent surgery. Plates and wires were inserted to stabilise the leg, and the medical team confirmed that the operation was successful. Unit members also shared that Rajasekhar bravely endured extreme pain during the surgery.

With proper rest and recovery, the actor is expected to return to work soon, continuing his commitment to cinema despite the setback.
