Jack Trailer: A Risky Bet

DJ Tillu fame Siddhu Jonnalagadda is all set to entertain audiences with his upcoming movie. The film is directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, whose strong zone consists of elements like love, entertainment, and emotions. But the film’s trailer is filled with different elements, unlike the director’s previous films. The Jack trailer is a risky bet.

Siddhu Jonnagadda plays the lead role in Jack, while Baby fame Vaishnavi Chaitanya plays the lead actress in this film. The teaser and recently released kiss song hinted that a good love entertainer is coming in this combo.

But the trailer showcases a different angle, which audiences did not expect. The trailer deals with concepts like terrorist operations and RAW-type intelligence teams and a lot of action with a mix of entertainment.

The terrorist episode seems to be treated entertainingly, and Siddhu’s character seems to be doing a larger-than-life role in this film. Even though the trailer presents the hero as an entertaining character, it seems that the lead character will have some backstory.

The conversations between Prakash Raj and Siddhu seem to have worked, and the love track is also mixed into the main story. Siddhu’s dialogues and mannerisms are much similar to DJ Tillu’s, and it can be a big positive and negative as well, depending on how the film blends the entertainment with the main story.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Jack trailer is a risky bet. The film’s setup and action touch are fresh for Bommarillu Bhaskar and Siddhu, and yes, it also has the mix of entertainment, and if it works perfectly, then the risk of the actor and director will turn into a big reward.

Backed by the SVCC Production banner, the film will be released in theaters worldwide on 10th April 2025.

Indian 2, the sequel to the classic blockbuster Indian (1997), starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar, emerged as the biggest failure and disappointed everyone. Since the film faced a big debacle at the box office, there were reports that the next part would not be made. However, the latest news is that Indian 3 is on track, and pre-production is in progress.

As said above, the Bharateeyudu 2 (Indian Two) was a big failure at the box office, but the team can not stop completing Indian 3’s pending shoot because more than 80% of the shooting has already been completed for the film.

The team has already spent huge crores of money on the film, so they need to complete it to see some recovery at least. Reportedly, there are around 30 days of shooting pending to complete the 3rd part of the Indian franchise.

The makers have been said to be discussing that, and the pre-production and scripting works are reportedly in progress. Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s Indian 3 is on track, and pre-production is in progress. Also, the film will go to the sets very soon.

Indian 3 Shoot Will Be Done with a Tight Budget

It is also being said that Kaml and Shankar are compromising on their remunerations and the shoot as well. They are not going for any rich sets or grand locations to complete the film. At first, a song was planned in the film, but it has been shelved as now the team wants to just complete the film, and it can not put in a big amount of money.

Chiyaan Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran somehow failed to create a big buzz before the release. After its release, even after getting positive feedback, the film did not live up to its potential. Veera Dheera Sooran’s 1st-week worldwide box office collections are out now.

Due to multiple postponements and some other issues, the pre-release hype of the film got diluted, and on the release day, the film faced financial issues, which resulted in the shows getting started from evening shows.

Despite all these hurdles, the film opened with positive WOM, but it was a low start at the ticket windows for the film. The film witnessed a jump in the collections for the weekend, but that jump is not like a big movie. 

Chiyaan Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran’s 1st-week worldwide box office collections are out now, and the film collected around 27 Cr gross in Tamil Nadu, which is a highly disappointing number for a Vikram starrer with positive WOM.

Many films that received disastrous responses have done better than this. In Telugu, the film is a complete washout and was decent in Karnataka. The film has collected around 34 Cr gross in India, and it did very well in the Gulf and surrounding countries with 5 Cr gross.

Gulf is the best-performing territory for the film. The EID advantage helped the film a lot. The film did average numbers in other overseas areas as well. Overall, the first week’s worldwide gross is 46 Cr.

There is certainly no chance for Verea Dheera Sooran Part 2 to collect 100 Cr+ in a full run, and the trade expects it to close around 75 Cr gross. Though the numbers are decent, it is a disappointing performance at the box office for a star hero.

Empuraan had a sensational 1st week at the box office, and it created many benchmarks by massive margins for 1st week Malayalam cinema. Despite getting mixed reviews and facing some controversies, it holds well at the box office. Empuraan’s 1st-week worldwide box office collections are out now.

Empuraan went on a record-breaking spree in its first week and collected 67 Cr in Kerala, while it gathered a massive amount of 133 Cr overseas. The sequel was able to mint around 30 Cr in the rest of India. Mohanlal’s Empuraan’s 1st-week worldwide box office collections are excellent.

Overall, the film has collected 230 Cr gross in its 1st week at the worldwide box office. The previous record for Malayalam movies was Aadu Jeevitham, which gathered 88 Cr gross in its first week. Empuraan broke the previous record with a 2.5 times margin, which shows how sensational its box office performance is.

With the 1st-week collections itself, L2E emerges as the top 2nd grosser of Mollywood, and it is all set to beat Manjummel Boys [240 Cr ] by today itself to become a new industry hit/highest grosser. 

Now, all eyes are on whether Empuraan will achieve the 300 Cr milestone, and it is highly possible if the film maintains a good hold over the 2nd weekend.

NTR breaks his silence on Devara 2 in his latest interviews during the promotions of Devara’s Japan release. The RRR actor said that the sequel will consist of half of a bigger story. It will be surprising. and audiences will learn about Vara and Devara in this film while they learned a lot about Devara in the first part.

Tarak also stated that audiences will learn about the mystery behind Devara’s death. With the statements of both the hero and director, the Devara sequel is confirmed. NTR will be joining Dragon sets this month, and the shoot is expected to be completed by this year’s end.

After completing Dragon, NTR is likely to move on to Devara 2, and the next one is almost fixed with Tamil director Nelson’s project, which will start in the second half of 2026.
