Official: Guntur Kaaram prepones the release date

It’s official! The release date of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s action entertainer Guntur Kaaram has been preponed. The film was scheduled to release on January 13th as per original plans but will now hit the screens a day earlier on January 12th. The latest poster from the movie wishing Mahesh for his birthday featured the new release date much to fan’s excitement.

Guntur Kaaram is planned for January 13th release but there are reports of Prabhas’ Project K being out of the Sankranti release. So the makers are keen on Guntur Kaaram releasing a day earlier and hitting the screens on Jan 12th. Another Sankranti release will be Chiranjeevi- Kalyan Krishna’s film which is planned for Jan 13 Release next year.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Guntur Kaaram marks the third collaboration between him and Superstar Mahesh Babu after Athadu and Khaleja. The project is being produced under the Haarika and Hassine Creations banner. The film also stars Sreeleela and Meenakshi Choudhary who will be sharing the screen with Mahesh for the first time.

After the massive success of Pokiri, Okkadu, Jalsa, Kushi, Simhadri, Mahesh’s Businessman is all set to re-release on his birthday tomorrow. And now two more movies are joining the list. Prabhas’s Yogi and Dhanush’s Raghuvaran B Tech [Velai Illa Pattathari] are the two films which will be re released on August 18th.

It is very well known to everyone that Surya S/O Krishnan, a 15-year-old film by Kollywood star Suriya, has become a hot topic in Tollywood circles because of its massive success. The film was re-released on Friday and the response has been fantastic, as we know. The Telugu audience showed their enormous love for the film by giving great occupancy at the theaters for Surya Son Of Krishnan. The Telugu audiences are even encouraging dubbed films in this re-release trend.

Raghuvaran B Tech was released in 2015 January, which was a dubbed version of Velai Illa Pattathari. The film also happens to be Dhanush’s 25th film. The film was a blockbuster in Tamil and later was dubbed into Telugu and became a super-duper hit here as well. The film was loved by the Telugu Movie lovers, and it paved a way for Dhanush to create a market in Tollywood.

Yogi (2004) stars Rebel Star Prabhas in the lead role. The film was directed by V V Vinayak. The film starred Sharada in a most important role of hero’s mother and Nayanthara as the heroine. The film was a remake of the Kannada Industry hit Jogi. However, it failed to impress the fans or Prabhas and other neutral audiences. Now we will have to wait and see how it will be the response to the film in its re-release.

Meher Ramesh has been experiencing an emotional turmoil and discussing the possibility of returning to the Telugu film industry with Bhola Shankar. He has been reported to have stated that he ‘improved’ Vedalam. Bhola Shankar is based on Ajith’s Vedalam and Chiranjeevi has accepted to do Meher Ramesh clarifies on his comments about Vedalam the remake because the original is not available on OTT. Director Meher Ramesh was dragged into a Controversy because he said Vedalam consisted more cringe scenes than the original film, Vedalam.

The fans of Tamil Star Hero Thala Ajith and other Tamil film industry fans were angry at Meher Ramesh for making such comments. They compared the original movie’s shots with Bhola Shankar and told that their film is the best. Owing to this backlash from Ajith fans, Meher Ramesh clarifies on his remarks about Vedalam through his Twitter Account.

“I loved Vedalam when watched in 2015 and admired how the original story by director Siva sir showed strong bonding of a brother and sister, a sentiment that reflects with millions of people and wanted to show it to our Telugu audience. In 2009, I remade Ajith sir’s Billa with Darling Prabhas and now again I’m grateful for the opportunity to do Ajith Sir’s Action entertainer “Vedalam” as Megastar Bhola Shankar” Meher Ramesh said in his tweet.

This tweet indicates that Meher Ramesh liked the original and the comments about cringe were taken out of the context. The director is pleased with Bhola Shankar, and he called it as his dream become reality. He stated that he wished to make a movie with Megastar Chiranjeevi and managed to do so with Bhola Shankar. According to him, Chiranjeevi will be seen by fans, as they saw and loved him in films like Gang Leader and Rowdy Alludu. Keerthy Suresh and Tamannaah Bhatia play important roles in the film as well. The film is slated to be released on August 11th.

Official: Shah Rukh Khan is out of Don franchise

Bollywood actor and director Farhan Akhtar has put an end to all the rumors about the third film in the Don franchise. The filmmaker has made an announcement about Don 3 earlier today. On social media, he shared a teaser announcing the film. The announcement video featured the words, “A new era begins”.

Though Farhan Akhtar did not disclose the cast of the much-anticipated film while announcing it, it is almost official that Shah Rukh Khan is out of Don Franchise and Ranveer Singh will be taking over for his place in the new film. The news will be confirmed by the film’s team soon.

Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani had bought the rights of the original Don (1978), in which Amitabh Bachchan played the lead role, and remade it with Shah Rukh and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead roles. The first Don was released in 2006 and the second installment was released in 2011, with SRK and Priyanka reprising their roles.

According to the reports, Farhan Akhtar had planned a grand spin-off for the third part in Don franchise in the third part, with bringing Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan together, while Ranveer Singh was supposed to be shown as the new lead who will take the franchise forward. However, reportedly SRK was not much in favor of the idea, and he rejected it. Now, whether the Big B is the part of Don 3 or not will be revealed by the makers.

Director Krish plans a new film with Mega Hero

Director Krish Jagarlamudi is one of the skillful directors of the Telugu film industry. We know that he has started Hari Hara Veera Mallu, a pan-Indian periodic project with Power Star Pawan Kalyan as the lead. The film had raised massive anticipation among the fans, but sadly the film’s shooting was affected by constant stoppages.

Director Krish had struggled to complete the film’s shooting and, in fact the film should have been released by now but in between Pawan Kalyan was doing other films and because of the political activities also, he had put this film aside. Krish wanted to release Harihara Veera Mallu as soon as possible in the pan India range, but things did not go as planned.

It appears that the shooting of the film is not likely to resume as of now. Which is why Director Krish has already taken a decision on his new film, as he has already put three years time on the subject. According to the reports and he is now working on another film with a mega hero without wasting this gap.

Reportedly, Krish will soon be giving an official clarity on his new project with Sai Dharam Tej, a young hero in the mega family. On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan has allotted dates for Ustaad and OG along with his political campaign. Most likely, OG will be his next theatrical release.

Pawan Kalyan’s Bro The Avatar ended up it’s run at the box office

Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej’s fantasy entertainer Bro The Avatar was released on July 28th with massive anticipation among the fans. The film had a relatively low buzz before the release, and the initial talk and response from the overseas shows was also not that great. Subsequently, the film opened with excellent numbers on Overseas premiers and in the Telugu states as well on day 1. However, the film’s run at the box office did not go the way it had to.

The film has collected around 65 Crores share until now and the movie currently is not running with any shares. The theaters in which the film, Bro, is playing are replacing the film with this weekend’s new releases. For breakeven the film had to collect 100 crores, but sadly, it ended up with a disaster status at the box office.

The film had received average talk from the audiences, but many of the public felt that the film was not suitable for a star hero like Pawan Kalyan. That is why the numbers of the film went downhill from first Monday onwards.

Apart from Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej, Bro also stars Priya Prakash Varrier, Ketika Sharma, Brahmanandam, Rohini Molleti, Subbaraju, Tanikella Bharani, and Raja Chembolu played crucial roles. TG Vishwa Prasad produced the film, Bro The Avatar under the banner of People Media Factory along with ZEE Studios. Trivikram Srinivas, the close friend of Pawan Kalyan handled the writing of the film and Samuthirakhani is the director.
