Ustaad Ram Pothineni and sensational director Puri Jagannadh’s crazy pan-Indian project Double Ismart is progressing at a rapid pace with its shoot. The ongoing second schedule of the movie is happening in Thailand, with the team canning important sequences on the lead cast.

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt who is playing an essential and lengthy role in the movie, joined the team in the first shooting schedule in Mumbai. The Bollywood star is also present with the team for the second schedule. It is very well known to everyone that the film, Double Ismart is a sequel to the blockbuster Ismart Shankar (2019) which came in the deadly combination of Ram and Puri. The film is being produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under the banner of Puri Connects.

Puri Jagannadh has reportedly penned a story that has a big span, and he is presenting the lead actors in completely stylish avatars. Ram sports the stylish best look ever in his career in the movie. Needless to say, the film will have a tremendous hype in the audiences and the trade as well because of the successful combination of the lead actor and director.

Hollywood cinematographer Gianni Giannelli is working for this high-voltage action entertainer, while Kecha is the stunt master. Double Ismart is being made on a high budget with much higher technical standards. The makers will reveal the other cast and crew of the movie soon.

Double Ismart will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages for Maha Shivaratri on March 8, 2024.

Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which was released two weeks back was proved as a decent hit. Now Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, and OMG 2 of Akshay Kumar are attracting superb footfalls at the theaters. Especially Gadar 2 is creating a havoc at the box office as it collected massive numbers.

The exceptional word of mouth has helped OMG 2, as it showed excellent growth on Day 2. The film showed solid growth at national multiplex chains and despite facing a tough competition with Gadar 2, the film has collected 10 CR and 15 CR net on first and second day, making a total of 25 CRS+ for 2 days.

Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 continues to dominate the box office as the film gathers sensational numbers in all territories, India wide. The trade circles are sure that the film is all set for a historic run, and it will comfortably cross Rs 200 CR net in its first week itself. Gadar 2 has collected a whopping 40 CR on the day 1, and it got more than 43 CR on day 2. Overall, the Total is 83CR+ for 2 days.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the Karan Johar Directorial which had a decent run for the 2 weeks, was affected by the two big releases this Friday, but the film was back in form on Saturday as it shows good growth by collecting 3.7 CR net yesterday. This romantic family entertainer has collected a Total of 126 CR+ in India until now.

This week, the Telugu audiences have seen the release of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer and Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar, in a day’s gap. The journey of both films has been different so far, and Rajini mania has been prevalent in the Telugu states as well. The jailer posted excellent collections and received a robust word of mouth compared to Bhola Shankar, which received mostly negative response. Such a dominance of Jailer has shown that the Bhola Shankar’s theaters are filling with the overflows of it.

On Saturday, Jailer collected a solid Rs 4 crores in the Telugu states, while the rest of India and overseas Telugu business stood at Rs 1 crore. Bhola Shankar managed only Rs 3 crores, which is truly shocking compared to this. The trade circles expected that the film, Jailer’s Telugu version collections will surpass Bhola Shankar’s collections today. It’s surprising that a dubbed movie, starring Superstar Rajinikanth, is dominating Chiranjeevi’s release in this way.

Today, Jailer was on a rampage mode at the box office from the noon shows itself. The theaters are registering house fulls and as there is heavy demand for the tickets, the distributors added the shows and theaters as much as possible.

But the demand for the tickets of Jailer was very high and due to committed agreements Bhola Shankar is running in most number of the theaters and the Jailer overflows in Telugu states are turning into an advantage of Bhola Shankar to some extent.

Kollywood Star Suriya, who made his fans elated with his pan India film, Kanguva’s glimpse, had recently met his fans during a meet. He confirmed exciting news in the fans meet that Lokesh and him will be collaborating on a film which is part of LCU the film, and it is a full-length movie which will be based on Rolex character which was introduced in Vikram. Suriya said that Lokesh Kanagaraj has already narrated the full script of the film.

In 2022, Suriya was officially included in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which was created by director writer Lokesh Kanagaraj. Suriya was pursued by Kamal Haasan’s titular character, who appeared as one of the antagonists in Vikram’s climax. In the middle of ongoing discussion about the LCU and its future, Suriya has indicated a significant development is on the horizon.

The LCU is ever-expanding. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj started off the LCU with Kaithi in 2019. The film had featured Arjun Das and Karthi, after which the director released Vikram (2022) with Kamal Haasan which became a massive blockbuster at the box office. After its success, the director is now gearing up for Leo (October 2023) with Thalapathy Vijay.

There are reports that Leo will also be a part of the LCU but there was no official confirmation on the same by the film’s team. Vikram’s final scene featured characters played by Kamal Haasan and Suriya, leaving the fans in the anticipation of a terrific face off between them.

Many speculated that the next LCU film would concentrate more on Rolex, but surprisingly Lokesh teamed up with Thalapathy Vijay. However, now the latest hint from Suriya suggests that his character, Rolex, will be the only focus of the next film of Lokesh following Leo.

The debacle of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar has changed a lot when it comes to his upcoming project lineup. Fans are now becoming increasingly vocal in their demand for Megastar to work on original scripts and not go for remakes. According to his initial plan, Chiranjeevi was scheduled to work next with Kalyan Krishna on the Malayalam superhit Bro Daddy’s remake.

But with the failure of his recent remake -Bhola Shankar, he has now decided to go for a straight film. He will next work with Mallidi Vashista who earlier directed Kalyan Ram’s hit film Bimbisara. Like his previous film, this one will also be a socio-fantasy. This will be a big-budget project and Chiranjeevi is eager to deliver a blockbuster this time around.

After this project, Chiranjeevi will move on Bro Daddy remake with Kalyan Krishna and also has a film with Anil Ravipudi. An official announcement on these projects will be made soon. Chiranjeevi is eager to hit big at the box office and apart from the massive success of Waltair Veerayya, he hasn’t exactly set the box-office on fire. Producer Ashiq Usman shared the exciting news about the sequel and expressed gratitude on social media on the one-year anniversary of Thallumaala’s release.

In a Instagram post, he thanked the entire team behind the success of the film, including director Khalid Rahman, writers Muhsin Parari and Ashraf Hamza, cinematographer Jimshi Khalid, composer Vishnu Vijay, lyricist Muhsin Parari, and others.

He also thanked the talented cast, including Tovino Thomas and Kalyani Priyadarshan, as well as the devoted fans that have made “Thallumaala” a blockbuster.

The original Thallumaala, which was released in August 2022 and starred Tovino Thomas as the lead character, was highly popular, especially among the youth. The film mesmerized audiences and filled the theaters, becoming a hit under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions, made by producer Ashiq Usman.

“When I was writing Jailer’s story, I thought of roping in several superstars in the movie — one character from Bihar, another from Kerala, and the other from Mangalore. So, I decided to cast Mohanlal sir and Shiva Rajkumar sir. I also thought of doing portfolios or taking pictures of them when I meet them in person,” Director told in an interview given to the YouTube channel.

“Mohanlal sir called me to say that Jailer is doing a roaring business in the theaters across Kerala. Shiva Rajkumar sir too called me to say that his character is getting a good response from Kannada film lovers. He will watch Jailer in Mysore Saturday, 12 August,” Nelson added.

“When these superstars asked me if they could play much larger roles in my next movie, it really made me happy. Even I wanted Balayya (Nandamuri Balakrishna) to do a role in Jailer. A cameo role of a powerful police officer was in my mind for him. But it didn’t work out. So, I didn’t move forward with it,” the director told in an interview.

Producer Venkat Boyanapalli showed his passion for cinema with his maiden production venture Shyam Singha Roy which was made lavishly. The producer is mounting his new film Saindhav starring Victory Venkatesh prestigiously under the banner of Niharika Entertainment with HITverse fame filmmaker Sailesh Kolanu.

Saindhav marks the milestone 75th movie of Venkatesh, and the makers are taking utmost care and making it uncompromisingly. They wrapped up a crucial schedule in 16 days where they filmed a high-octane emotional climax with 8 key actors participating in the shoot under harsh conditions. Ram-Lakshman masters supervised the intense action episode. This is the most expensive climax portion to date for Venkatesh. The team is happy with the way the movie is shaping up.
