More than Fifteen lakh people watched RRR in Japan

RRR, the action epic directed by SS Rajamouli and starred Ram Charan and NTR, was released in last year’s March and had created all-time records at the box office. After that, the film was later released in Japan and went on to create a storm with amazing collections there as well. Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming action thriller Leo has done the biggest theatrical business film in Tamil cinema history. Even in the other languages, the rights of the film are sold for massive prices. Now to achieve the breakeven mark, the film needs to collect 500Cr gross worldwide.

While no one expected Rajinikanth to collect 500Cr gross with Jailer, as before the film’s release he was not in a good form. By breaking the Ponniyin Selvan’s records, Jailer has surprised everyone while it was expected that Leo will break those records.

Jailer has broken all the records of Kollywood and The film is expected to collect more than 550Cr+ gross in its full run. For Leo now, the target is almost 600Cr gross worldwide to break Jailer with a good margin. Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming gangster drama King of Kotha has made a good impression with its interesting promotional content. The anticipation has been boosted by the posters, trailer, and Dulquer’s getup in the movie. At first, the film had its director walked out of the project and now a few reports have been circulating that the producer might also have to do the same as Ajith Kumar and Lyca Productions are not doing well.

According to the latest reports, Lyca Productions and Ajith Kumar have been having issues. Lyca Productions’ possible departure from the film is causing a buzz in the Kollywood circles. It has been reported that the production house is considering opting out of the Vidaamuyarchi project. It is rumored that the production house made this decision because of a delay in shooting schedules. If filming does not begin within the next few months, they are expected to withdraw their involvement.

Ajith’s previous film Thunivu was also produced by the Lyca Production house, which was released for 2023 Pongal along with Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu and it became a blockbuster success.

The production house initially announced that Ajith Kumar starrer will be directed by Vignesh Shivan. However, because the producers were not satisfied with the script and the story, the director chose not to participate in the film. After that, the announcement of director Magizh Thirumeni as the replacement brought renewed energy to the project.
