Producer quashes rumors and officially announces Rajinikanth – Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film

There has been a huge negative rumors spread by some section of people on social media from yesterday that the upcoming big film of Tamil film industry in the combination of Lokesh Kanagaraj – Rajinikanth was dropped due to the creative issues between the Superstar and the young director. However, the Producers officially put a check point for the baseless rumors by announcing the film officially.

Sun Pictures took to their official Twitter account and informed everyone that they are very happy to announce the film with the combination of Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj. Needless to say, the music for the film will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander while the action sequences will be taken care of by Anbariv.

After the release of Leo, Lokesh Kanagaraj will start the work on Thalaivar 171, and the film’s shoot will start in February 2024 and the young director is planning for a Diwali release. The combination of Superstar Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj was in the news for so many days, and it is now official that the film will be produced by Sun Pictures.

With Rajinikanth achieving a bombastic success with his latest film, Jailer, there will be massive expectations for his next film with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Meanwhile, Lokesh is also set to deliver a massive blockbuster with Leo.

Mark Antony – No change in release plans

Vishal’s upcoming movie, Mark Antony, is expected to be released on September 15 as per the initial plan and there is no change in the film’s release. There has been confusion about the release date following the court’s stay on the release. Adhik Ravichandran is the director of the film, which also features SJ Suryah in the lead role.

Recently, Vishal’s production house, Vishal Film Factory announced that the film is indeed releasing on the earlier mentioned date and that the time travel-based film has been censored with a U/A certificate. According to the latest update, the movie has successfully finished its censorship process and has received a U/A certificate. Moreover, the movie has a reasonable runtime of 150 minutes.

It was reported that the production house, Lyca filed a petition to stop the release of Mark Antony as Vishal had taken some amount as an advance from them, and he needed to return back it before the release. So in trade the doubts had started about Mark Antony’s release and most of the people thought that the movie will be postponed, but the team of Mark Antony are saying there is no change in release plans. It will be released on the 15th only and all the issues will be sorted in 1–2 days.

The film stars Vishal, SJ Suryah, Suneel, Selvaraghavan, Ritu Varma, Abhinaya, Kingsley, YG Mahendran, and others. Music for Mark Antony is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Abinandhan Ramanujam and editing by Vijay Velukutty. Adhik Ravichandran wrote and directed the film, and S Vinod Kumar produced it.

The Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty starrer ‘Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty’ is receiving an enormous love from the audiences. The feel-good romantic entertainer was particularly appreciated for Naveen Shetty’s comic brilliance and overall fresh approach. The film received mostly positive word of mouth and decent reviews and got off to a good start. Currently, the film is rocking at the box office, it registered huge numbers on day 3 and all was even superb on day 4.

The film did exceptionally well in Overseas, Nizam, Rest Of India and performed decently in Andhra Pradesh. The film has collected around 10.5 Cr gross in Overseas, with crossing more than 1M$ in the USA. The total overseas share is around 5Cr. In Nizam, the film has collected around 6.8Cr gross and share is 3.75Cr. The rest of India’s gross is approx around 2.5Cr with 1CR share.

In Andhra Pradesh, MSMP’s share is around 3.5Cr and gross will be in the range of 6.25Cr. The total worldwide gross will be around 26Cr and the share is around 13.25Cr worldwide. The trade is expecting the film to surpass 20cr share in its full run.

Naveen Polishetty’s comic timing and fresh performance, accompanied by good visuals and a fresh concept, were the key elements of the film’s success. The film’s fresh look and unique casting have caused it to generate some intrigue. Moreover, Anushka’s appearance on screen after 3 years was a source of curiosity among everyone, and even her performance in the final emotional moments is being praised.

Venkat Prabhu’s upcoming action entertainer with Vijay is in its initial stages with the film’s casting and plot already making waves in the Kollywood circles. Vijay would be seen portraying a dual role in the film. These roles would be of father and son and as per initial plans, Jyothika was approached to play the senior role which has now been given to Sneha.

Vijay and Sneha will be seen on screen together after 20 years and Venkat Prabhu’s recent Instagram picture with Sneha has confirmed this. As per reports, Priyanka Mohan will be paired with Vijay. The film’s pooja will take place on October 1st with the film’s shoot starting immediately in October 1st week.

The film is expected to be a typical Venkat Prabhu film with lots of thrills, action, and entertainment, that is set to portray Vijay in a completely new light. Major portions of the film will be shot in Chennai, while there will be song sequences that will be shot in foreign locations.

Jawan hits 500Cr in 1st weekend, fastest ever

Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan continued its stupendous run at the box office with shattering weekend numbers. Jawan has now broken all existing records in the history of Indian cinema and grossed a whopping Rs 500 crores in just four days.

As per early estimates, the 1st weekend gross is more than 530Cr. In India, the gross is around 345Cr and overseas the gross is around 185Cr. The film registered amazing Saturday- Sunday numbers even surpassing the opening day figures. Jawan not only recorded a massive opening-day collection but has registered the highest single-day collection on Sunday.  Even the weekday trends are looking quite positive with solid advance bookings projected for Monday.

Directed by Atlee, Jawan featured King Khan in a double role – an intelligence officer and a vigilante. The film was shot across Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan and Aurangabad. Anirudh Ravichander composed for the film bankrolled by Shahrukh Khan’s home production Red Chillies Entertainments.

MARAKKUMA NENJAM, the renowned and legendary music composer AR Rahman’s Live Concert in Chennai seems to have failed in entertaining the fans and public as the People are angry and frustrated with the management of the concert. So many tweets have been posted by the netizens after facing such terrible management of the event.

The fans are saying that the organizing of the concert was pathetic as they were stuck near the gates with thousands of people still trying to enter the venue. They demanded that severe action should be taken on the event organizers. Many of the fans were said to have faced suffocation because of the ruckus.

Without any fear, the fans of AR Rahman are saying Marakkuma Nenjam is the worst ever concert. It’s nothing but a big scam to. loot people money. Everyone involved in this scam should be severely punished, said the fans.

It was pretty evident that the event organizers had sold over tickets, because of which the fans and public were unable to come in and watch the show. Most of them returned due to lack of space. The Tamil media people also reported that It was like a stampede like situation happening at the AR Rahman’s concert. Many were being sent out from the concert and many were not even allowed inside despite having passes. All pass holders in each price category were mixed together without being separated by their respective pass category, which resulted in a terrible mishap. The people who traveled for hours to reach the event venue expressed their concern about parking.
