Pan India film Hanuman sticks to Sankranthi release plan

The teaser and promotional materials for the upcoming pan-Indian film, HanuMan, directed by Prashanth Varma and starring Teja Sajja, have raised good anticipation around the film. Prashanth Varma confirmed that the film will be released in theaters for Sankranthi on January 12, 2023, and that promotional activities will commence in a few days.

With the big star films lining up for Sankranthi, there have been rumors that Hanuman may come before Sankranthi, likely December end, but the makers put a checkpoint to the rumors and stated that they have stuck to the Sankranthi release plan. Director Prashanth informed that the promotions will start from Ganesh Chaturthi. As said above, the film has an excellent buzz in audiences and trade as well.

In the film, Teja Sajja portrays a man who is blessed with superhuman abilities thanks to Lord Hanuman’s grace. The film is set in a fictional place named ‘Anjanadri’.

The release of Hanuman will include Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese versions. In the film, Amritha Aiyer is the female lead and Varalaxmi Sharath Kumar, Vinay Rai appear in important roles.

Finally, Salaar makers officially announced the release postponement

The upcoming film of pan-Indian star Prabhas, ‘Salaar’, was one of the most anticipated movies of 2023. The film was scheduled to be released in theaters on September 28th. For the past few weeks, there have been reports that Salaar’s release has been postponed. The delay in the film was finally confirmed by Hombale Films, the production house, on September 13. A new release date for the film will be announced soon.

The release of Salaar was scheduled for a grand opening in theaters on September 28th and even the Overseas bookings were also opened to a sensational response. Nevertheless, it has been postponed due to a delay in post-production.

In their special note shared on September 13, Hombale Films wrote, “We deeply appreciate your unwavering support for #Salaar. With consideration, we must delay the original September 28 release due to unforeseen circumstances. While the financial issues for Tamil Hero Vishal’s upcoming film, Mark Antony, have been sorted out, it is being reported that the film’s lead, Vishal’s issues are not cleared yet. The film is all set for a grand release in both Tamil and Telugu languages. Recently, there were some doubts turned around the film’s release as it was stuck in some financial issues and legal notices.

Lyca Productions filed a case on Vishal that he cheated on them and needed to return the money, and they requested to stop the release of his next film, Mark Antony. The court given a relief for the film, not for Vishal but for the producer of Mark Antony. Because he told to the court he has invested massive money on the film, and he is not involved in Lyca – Vishal’s issue.

So the court understood the producers’ concern and allowed the movie to be released on September 15th as per the announcement. But still the legal case on hero Vishal is going on.

Mark Antony, the film stars Vishal, SJ Suryah, Suneel, Selvaraghavan, Ritu Varma, Abhinaya, Kingsley, YG Mahendran, and others. Music for Mark Antony is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Abinandhan Ramanujam and editing by Vijay Velukutty. Adhik Ravichandran wrote and directed the film, and S Vinod Kumar produced it.

The postponement of the release of Salaar: Part 1 was disappointing for Prabhas’ fans as well as the entire film fraternity. People were eager to witness the collusion between Brand Baahubali and Brand KGF on the big screen. The film was widely expected to be the biggest mass entertainer for both Prabhas and Prashanth Neel. Unfortunately, the 28th September release has been postponed, and other films have been rushing to block what would have been a terrific release. Meanwhile, the film’s South Indian languages OTT deal is closed.

Salaar movie’s Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages’ digital rights have been bagged by the OTT giant, Netflix for a record price as per the reports. Netflix has recently started acquiring the rights of South Indian films more often.

There were so many dates for the possible release of this actioner and the inside news is the makers are eying the Christmas release as one of the options. Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film, Jawan which was released on September 7th, opened with unanimous blockbuster reviews and posted record-breaking numbers on weekend. The film now has achieved the magical figure of 600Cr Gross and is all set for an all time record first week in Bollywood.

Jawan had a good hold at the box office as it got the collections with almost maintaining 80% of Monday’s numbers. The early trends indicate today’s number will be around 24 – 25Cr net which makes the total 6 days early estimations gross to 615Cr+. The film will easily break Pathaan’s 1st week numbers officially which is at 630Cr+ and set a new benchmark for Bollywood.

Jawan, directed by Atlee, stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Jaffer Sadique, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani in the lead roles. The film’s music was composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

The film features King Khan in a double role – an intelligence officer and a thief/vigilante. The film was shot across Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad. Anirudh Ravichander composed for the film, bankrolled by Shahrukh Khan’s home production Red Chillies Entertainments.

If we observe the recent films in Tamil film industry all the recent hit films have one thing in common. That is, the putting a cameo or guest appearance of a star hero in another star’s movie. We have seen cameos from the same industry and other industry as well. The trend of this Star cameos was started by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram.

Kamal Haasan’s comeback film, Vikram had Malayalan star Fahad Faasil in an important role and everyone knows about the most hyped Rolex played by Suriya which worked so big for the film. So much so that the fans are still demanding a standalone film for the character.

Even Rajinikanth’s latest film, Jailer, also has cameos of Kannada Chakravarthy Shiva Raj Kumar, and Malayalam Superstar Mohan Lal which worked superbly for the film as the audiences were thrilled by the scenes which had their presence.

Mani Ratnam’s comeback film, Ponniyin Sellvan was a multi starrer film. Although Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan acted in several films together, they did not do many films after a while, though they remained friends off-screen. Their last movie together was K Balachander’s Thillu Mullu (1981), where Kamal Haasan made a cameo.
