The 11th edition of SIIMA was held in Dubai on September 15. Day 2 of the event saw complete domination by Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram. Kamal Haasan won the best actor award while Trisha bagged the best actress.

Ponniyin Selvan won the best film while Lokesh Kanagaraj bagged the best director with Anirudh winning the best music composer for Vikram. Here’s a complete list of SIIMA winners – Tamil.

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is already in the process of working on his next film, which is about the lives of fishermen. The untitled project (#NC23) is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vaas, and it is set to be a major cinematic spectacle with a substantial budget. On social media, there is an interesting rumor about the film. It is being reported that the blockbuster combination of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi is being brought back.

The upcoming Pan Indian film in the combination of Naga Chaitanya – Chandoo Mondeti is said to be searching for a good and renowned star cast. So the film’s female lead is also crucial and the team thought of two options, one is Sai Pallavi while the other one is Keerthy Suresh and the team of NC23 is said to have finalized Sai Pallavi.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest film, Jailer, was released in theaters on August 10. The film had released with good expectations, but no one expected it to become such a big blockbuster at the box office. The previous films of both actor and director were severe disappointments, but with Jailer both Nelson and Rajini have given a solid comeback as the film collected Rs 624 crore worldwide.

In Tamil Nadu the film has collected around 197Cr gross and In Telugu states it has gathered 86Cr gross. While in Kerala, the number is 58Cr, Karnataka 71Cr, ROI 16Cr. The total all India gross is 428Cr and overseas gross is 196Cr, which makes the total closing gross to 624Cr gross.

The Jailer Tamil version’s gross alone is 500Cr+which is an all-time record. Overall, it is the 2nd biggest hit for Kollywood after 2 Point 0 and share wise it has created an all-time record for Kollywood as the film ended up with close to 310Cr share worldwide.

Before the release of the film, no one expected Jailer to achieve such massive records at the box office. Not only in Tamil Nadu but even in the Telugu states, Kerala, Karnataka, and Overseas the film has registered excellent numbers which helped it to stand at the 11th highest Indian grossing film worldwide.

Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, ‘Jailer’ is a commercial action entertainer featuring Rajinikanth as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. The film also features Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan and Vasanth Ravi in lead roles. Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff appeared in stunning cameo roles in the film.

Pan-Indian star Prabhas’s upcoming big film, Project K aka Kalki 2898 AD, is being produced by the renowned production house, Vyjayanthi Movies prestigiously at a global level. However, the team is facing issues in curbing leaks on the internet. A picture of Prabhas was leaked on the internet nearly 10 days ago. The team seems to have traced out the source of these leaks.

The photo got leaked from a VFX Company. The makers, as per source, have filed a legal case against the VFX company for a substantial amount. The VFX firm dismissed the person behind the leakage. But they are facing a legal case against the makers for their costly mistake.

These online leaks have been a constant concern for the big films. Recently, Guntur Kaaram’s short footage from the shooting was leaked on the internet while a full audio song was leaked from Ram Charan’s Game Changer. Now Kalki 2898 AD joins the list.

After having a phenomenal weekend at the box office in its first weekend, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is continuing the same trend in its second weekend. Though the film had a minor drop in its collections in the weekdays, it saw a big jump over the second weekend.

On Saturday, the film had trended on an Extraordinary note and the early estimates are in the range of 30Cr, which is almost the double of Friday’s collections. At this pace, the film will easily join the 500Cr club and likely to beat Pathaan’s Hindi net [525Cr] and become the ATBB for Bollywood.

Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan’s second release of the year after Pathaan. The cast includes Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra. Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt also appeared in extended cameos in the film. Directed by Atlee, the film’s music has been scored by Anirudh Ravichander.

Shah Rukh played the roles of a Jailer and an Intelligence Officer in the film, and he uses a small army of female convicts to act as a vigilante in the film. He sets out to retribution the Indian public for the years of corruption perpetrated by businessmen and politicians.

Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty are reuniting for the threequel Singham Again, which is nine years after the release of Singham Returns. During the presence of the director, actor, and Ranveer Singh, who plays Simmba in Rohit’s cop universe, the shoot for the cop drama was flagged off on Saturday.

On Saturday, Ajay shared two pictures from the muhurat of Singham Again on his social media accounts. As part of a ritual, Rohit bursts a coconut on the floor as he and Ranveer join hands in the first picture. Ajay was seen wearing a dark blue shirt, blue denims, and a brown belt. A light gray shirt, dark gray trousers, and a black belt were worn by Ranveer. Rohit’s outfit included a white T-shirt, a dark blue shirt, and faded, torn denim. In the second picture, the three men were seen joining hands and standing next to each other, with solemn expressions and red tilaks on their foreheads.

Ajay wrote in the caption, “12 years ago, we gave Indian Cinema its biggest cinematic Cop Universe. With all the love we have received over the years, the force got stronger and the Singham family got bigger. Today, we come together to take our franchise ahead with Singham Again!”

Akshay Kumar, who plays Sooryavanshi in Rohit’s cop universe, was missing from the pictures. He issued a clarification when he posted the same pictures on Instagram with the caption, “Not in the country at the moment, missing from the frame in person but totally there in spirit. Shah Rukh Khan – Salman Khan multistarrer film is confirmed

The next installment in YRF’s Spy Universe, Tiger Vs Pathaan, will see the two biggest superstars of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan together. According to a new report, the script for the film has been locked, and the shooting is expected to start in March next year. Shah Rukh played Pathaan in January of this year, and Salman is currently preparing for Tiger 3’s Diwali release.

Aditya Chopra narrated the script to Shah Rukh Khan and Salman separately in different meetings, and they both immediately gave it their thumbs up. Tiger Vs Pathaan will bring about a new dynamic between two super spies, Tiger and Pathaan. A big confrontation between Salman and Shah Rukh is eagerly being anticipated in this Siddharth Anand directorial.

The Tiger Vs Pathaan team will start the preparation work in November of this year, following the release of Tiger 3 in Diwali, as things are still on paper. Before the film can be screened in March 2024, there will be a 5-month preparation period.

Director Siddharth Anand, who has worked on the films like Pathaan and War, will be the director of Tiger Vs Pathaan. He is currently working on another film, Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. It is slated to hit theaters around Republic Day next year.
