Sundeep Kishan’s big budget sci-fi action thriller launched

Talented hero Sundeep Kishan who is showing his versatility in different genres of films, enjoys a good following in Telugu as well as Tamil. The young hero who is presently doing Ooru Peru Bhairavakona under AK Entertainments has signed to do production no 26 of the banner. This marks the second collaboration of hero Sundeep Kishan and director CV Kumar, after the blockbuster Maayavan. Adventures International Pvt Ltd presents this high-budget movie produced by Rambrahmam Sunkara. Kishore Garikipati (GK) is the executive producer.

Billed to be a Sci-fi Action Thriller set in the Maayavan world, this will be a sequel to Maayavan. To be mounted on a high budget with top-class production and technical standards, this is the story of a common man’s clash with a super villain.

The movie has been launched grandly today with a formal Pooja ceremony. For the Muhurtham shot, Damodar Prasad sounded the clapboard, while Venkat Boyanapalli switched on the camera. The first shot was directed by Gemini Kiran. The regular shoot of the movie commences in November.

This yet-to-be-titled movie will have some noted technicians taking care of different crafts. While Karthik K Thillai will crank the camera, Sensational Composer Santhosh Narayanan who gave a chart buster album for Nani’s Dasara and is working on Prabhas’ Pan World film Kalki 2898 AD, will score the music for this film. Actress Rashmika signs a female-centric film

If the inside reports are to be believed, the National Crush Rashmika Mandanna has signed on to another film that will be based on the female lead character. She is already working on ‘Rainbow’, a Telugu-Tamil bilingual that centers on her character. Now She is preparing to begin work on a new film next month.

This film will be directed by Rahul Ravindran, who is an actor and director as well. He has previously directed films like ‘Chi La Sow’ and ‘Manmadhudu 2’, and this is his third.

At first, Samantha had been reported to be working on this film, but now Rashmika Mandanna has entered and given her approval. The film will be produced on a large scale and will be funded by GA2 Pictures. Around Dasara festival time, the film will be launched.

Rashmika is currently working on the much awaited ‘Pushpa 2’ and has agreed to work on Ravi Teja’s next film under Gopichand Malineni’s direction.

Skanda is unlikely to become a record opener among tier 2 heroes

Ram Pothineni and Boyapati Sreenu’s mass action entertainer Skanda is all set to entertain the audiences from this Thursday, September 28th. When the film was announced, it was expected to score big at the box office because of the actor director combination. Mainly, the selling points for Skanda were expected to be the mass makeover of Ram from Ismart Shankar combined with the Boyapati style mass elements. However, the trailer of Skanda failed to expectations and the film is unlikely to become a record opener among tier 2 heroes.

As said above, the combo definitely has the potential to create a record opening in tier 2 heroes, but the film being released on a weekday and that too in a competition with Chandramukhi 2 has derailed the hype. Somehow, the promotional content did not appeal to. Everyone and the film can cater only to mass audiences.

So getting a bigger opening in Overseas and major cities completely depends on the word of mouth. Nani’s Dasara is still the biggest opener for tier 2 heroes until now, which opened with 19.5Cr share worldwide. The film had opened with phenomenal numbers in all areas. At this moment, Skanda has no chances to break this, and it is very unlikely to become a record opener among tier 2 heroes.

The movie’s album was produced by S Thaman. Srinivasaa Chitturi produced Skanda under the banner of Srinivasaa Silver Screen, making it the most expensive movie for Ram. The movie features Sree Leela as the female lead, and Saiee Manjrekar will play a crucial role. The movie presented by ZEE Studios South and Pavan Kumar features Santosh Detake as the cinematographer. Editing is handled by Tammiraju.

Skanda will have a Pan India release on September 28th in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan hits another milestone at the box office

Shah Rukh Khan’s latest action entertainer, Jawan has made it a habit to create records and reach new milestones at the box office with each passing day. The film is nearing its completion of the third week run and still getting superb numbers. Now it hit another milestone at the box office by collecting 500Cr net in the Hindi version.

Jawan, in the Hindi version alone, crossed a whopping net of 500Cr net in India. It is only the 4th film to cross 500Cr net in Hindi language after Baahubali 2, Pathaan and Gadar 2. It is noteworthy to tell that Shah Rukh Khan is the only hero with two 500Cr+ net films in Hindi language. The Total net of Jawan, including all languages, will be more than 560Cr.

Jawan, made as an action entertainer, is written and directed by Atlee. Shah Rukh Khan plays the dual role of Vikram Rathore and his son Azad in this story, which highlights social and political issues along with entertainment. Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi played the major roles in the film. In special cameo roles, Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt are also present.

Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra have also appeared in other hey roles in the film. The first time Shah Rukh and Atlee collaborated was with Jawan.

Leading OTT platforms will have several films and Web Series across languages that are scheduled to be released on OTT in the final week of September 2023. The weekend of September 28th is exceptional for the movie lovers as there is plenty of entertainment will be available in both theaters and OTT platforms.

Agent, which was one of the most anticipated movies of this year, especially for Akkineni fans, ended up being a colossal failure at the box office. Released in April, the OTT premiere of the film hasn’t yet happened, much to everyone’s surprise. But now, the movie’s OTT release date has finally been announced.

The spy thriller directed by Surender Reddy will be streaming on Sony Liv from 29th September. Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha’s Kushi is also set to be streamed from 1st October on Netflix. Nitya Menen’s Kumari Srimathi Web Series will be available for streaming from 28th September on Amazon Prime Video. Dulquer Salmaan’s latest film, King of Kotha which was a big disaster at the box office, will also make its OTT debut mostly on 28th September on Disney Plus Hot star.

The Hindi films that are releasing this week are Charlie Chopra and The Mystery of Solang Valley on Sony LIV, Choona on Netflix, Hostel Daze 4 on Prime Video, and Tumse Na Ho Payega on Disney+ Hot star. While Gen V on Prime Video and The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar on Netflix are also hitting this week, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Netflix are premiering after their theatrical runs.

Salaar is directed by KGF Series maker Prashanth Neel film. The film stars Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Easwari Rao in key roles. Ravi Basrur is the music director of the film.
