Multiple movies and web series’s streaming on OTT from tonight for Telugu audience

The Telugu audiences have got used to watching the movies in. both theaters and OTT every week. While there are no notable releases in the theaters this week, there are multiple movies and web series’ streaming on OTT from tonight for the Telugu audience…some of them have already started streaming.

Vishal’s latest blockbuster Mark Antony will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from tonight, while Aha Video will have two new releases called Matti Katha and Mistake.

The Malayalam movie Kasargold will be streaming on Netflix, while a Telugu Web Series called Mr. Nagabhushanam will be available on ETV Win App. Prema vimanam is already streaming on ZEE5 from today, and Tamil Web Series Mathagam Part 2 web Series is already streaming on Disney Plus Hot Star.

Leo contains strong bloody violence, gore, threat and sexual threat

Thalapathy Vijay’s film Leo has been recently approved by the Censor Board, but there were some alterations in the film’s content. Lokesh Kanagaraj is the director of this film, which is included in his ‘Lokesh Cinematic Universe’. Leo has been certified U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification, which is scheduled to be released on October 19. According to reports, the Board has ordered 13 modifications to the film, including removing swear words that were used in the film. The film is also said to have violence, gore, and sexual threat elements as per the CBFC Report.

Leo’s Censor Certificate had spread like wildfire on X (formerly known as Twitter), and it showed the 13 modifications that Lokesh Kanagaraj had been requested to make by the CBFC. The board has requested that the team mute the swear words along with improving the violent scenes in the film. The changes and cuts resulted in Leo having a run time of 164 minutes (2 hours 44 minutes).

The distributors are opting for multiple censor cuts to make the film suitable for family audiences because they cannot enjoy a film that has an excessive amount of gore and violence. Even In trailer also, we can observe there was a bad word that was removed later.

This action thriller features Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, and Priya Anand in crucial roles. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is also in the film. Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rathna Kumar worked together to write the script. The music for the film was composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and its cinematography and editing were handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Philomin Raj, respectively.

Abhishek Agarwal Pictures, the production company, has made an official announcement that the Library of Oscars has invited and accepted the script of The Vaccine War. Abhishek Agarwal Arts, the production house behind The Kashmir Files and The Vaccine War, will be producing The Delhi Files, the next project of the director as well.

Pallavi Joshi is one of the producers of The Vaccine War, who is also the wife of Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. Though their efforts did not yield positive results, getting acknowledged by the Academy Collections of Oscars Library is indeed a true proud moment for the makers of the film.

The Vaccine War stars Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, Raima Sen, Sapthami Gowda and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. The flick also features Girija Oak, Nivedita Bhattacharya and Mohan Kapur.

Story: Ramu (Devansh Nama) and Lachu (Anirudh Nama) are the sons of a poor farmer. Ramu and Lachu were fascinated by a friend’s story of traveling on a flight. Although they have a strong desire to fly, their economic circumstances prevent them from achieving their dream. Mani (Sangeeth Shobhan) and Abhita (Saanvee Megghana), on the other hand, hold a deep sense of love for each other since childhood. Caste issues cause problems in their relationship. Did the couple achieve the life they desired? Did the children fulfill their dream of boarding a flight? This is what the movie is about.

Performances: Sangeeth Shobhan, who is known for his excellent comedy in MAD, displayed his emotional side in this film and performed well. Saanvee Megghana was quite impressive. Anasuya, Vennela Kishore, Supreeth Reddy, Raj Tirandasu, and Goparaju Ramana were appropriate in their roles.

Verdict:

Prema Vimanam is an emotional drama that only manages to work in certain parts. The film’s purpose is derailed due to slow pace and repetitive scenes, even though there are a few fun scenes that work and the last half hour is better. Devansh Nama, Anirudh Nama, Sangeeth Shobhan, and Saanvee Megghana performed well. Overall, the movie is a disappointing experience.

It is a known fact that Megastar Chiranjeevi established himself as the no.1 of Telugu cinema a few decades ago and at that time, it was Balakrishna who lagged behind him at no.2. After Chiranjeevi took a long break and marked a return with Khaidi No. 150, he proved yet again that he is far ahead of his competitors. He hit a double margin over Balakrishna’s Gowtham Putra Satakarni which was released at the same time.

But, with movies like Acharya and Godfather, Chiranjeevi has seen huge setbacks and has just Waltair Veerayya as a major success in the last 3 films. At the same time, Balakrishna is in super form with blockbusters Akhanda and Veera Simha Reddy. Even though Waltair Veerayya won over Veera Simha Reddy earlier this year, Balayya proved his stardom by scoring better openings than Chiru and Ravi Teja starrer despite mixed reviews.

Had Veera Simha Reddy received the same talk as Waltair Veerayya, then numbers would have been definitely different. Coming to Chiranjeevi, after Waltair Veerayya, Chiranjeevi has faced a massive setback with Bhola Shankar and he is in a bad form.

With Bhagavanth Kesari, Balkrishna has a great chance of proving his supremacy. If he manages to deliver 80Cr+, 90Cr+ shares then definitely he will take the lead over Chiranjeevi. Already, Balakrishna has matched Chiranjeevi’s film in terms of business. If Bhagavanth Kesari becomes a blockbuster then definitely its advantage Balayya.

In Sooth Indian film industry, generally It is a speculation that Telugu Heroes will always quote very bigger remunerations than the other industries, but it is not entirely true as the Telugu top Heroes are doing at 70 – 80Cr remunerations the heroes who are doing pan India big films are getting 100 – 150Cr.

But in Tamil Cinema, reportedly Rajinikanth and Vijay are taking already 200Cr range remuneration and Ajith is now taking more than 100Cr as remuneration. Kamal Haasan who came back into the Star game with Vikram is also said to have taking more than 100Cr as remuneration.

Suriya is also quoting now huge remunerations for next films. Even Tier 2 Heroes like Karthi, Siva Karthikeyan, Raghava Lawrence, Vishal are also said to have quoting 20 – 30Cr remunerations which is bigger than Telugu Tier 2 Heroes.

In Tamil industry, the producers are offering entire non-theatrical business to Heroes as their non-theatrical business is very high. The OTT, Satellite, Dubbing, and audio rights for Tamil films will get colossal amounts. Even in theatrical business they get excellent business by which they can finish the film with some profits as well.

So the main advantage for Tamil Heroes is they are finishing the films in very short span of time, and they do not spend too much time on songs, sets and some other things. This is the plus point for them which helps the Heroes to get huge remunerations.

Mass Director Boyapati Sreenu has faced a failure with his latest film, Skanda which featured Young Hero Ram Pothineni as the lead. The film was released amidst good expectations on its box office prospect but except for a decent opening weekend, the film failed to get profits. Now with no other Hero’s dates with him, Boyapati Sreenu’s sole and best option now seems to be an Akhanda Sequel.

Practically there is no possibility for Boyapati to collaborate with Tier 1 Heroes as they are already busy with their commitments, and there is no possibility of Skanda 2 as well with the film being a big failure at the box office. Tamil Hero Suriya who was reported to do a movie with Boyapati Sreenu is also committed to multiple projects at present.

Suriya is currently doing Kanguva and his next with Sudha Kongara was already confirmed and even after that, he has another commitment with Vetrimaaran project and the latest reports suggest that he has given commitment to Raykesh Omprakash Mehra for Karna, a big project which has multiple parts.

Even if Kanguva becomes a blockbuster, it will have multiple parts, so we cannot be sure where Suriya can allocate the dates for Boyapati Sreenu and another thing is he always needs the huge number of hero’s call sheets, so practically his best and sole possibility is now Akhanda 2 as Balakrishna who will move to Bobby’s film after Bhagavanth Kesari release has not committed or agreed to do any project.

Mostly, Balayya will do his next project in 2024 Summer before this Bobby’s film shoot will be completed. Boyapati Sreenu also requires some months to complete the script work and pre-production works, so this combo can rightly put into place from Summer 2024 and this combo coming back for a sequel will have good craze as well, which is the best option for Boyapati Sreenu now.
