Mama Mascheendra will be streaming on two OTT platforms from tonight. The Sudheer Babu’s new movie was released in theaters just 2 weeks back but unexpectedly crashed on the opening day itself. The film, Mama Mascheendra, will be Streaming on OTT from tonight on Aha Video and Amazon Prime Video.

Sudheer played three roles in this film, which was directed by Harshvardhan and released on October 6th. Because of such a bad result in the theaters, it was out of the theaters from the third day itself. Now, due to its poor theatrical performance, Mama Mascheendra will be Streaming on OTT from tonight on Aha Video and Amazon Prime Video.

The surprising thing was that the OTT premiere date of the film was announced even before the film finished its first-week run. This has been the latest trend in the Telugu film industry, where the unsuccessful films are arriving at the OTT much earlier. The film’s disastrous performance in theaters was evident by the fact that it is coming on OTT within two weeks of its release.

The narration of Harshvardhan, who was the director, has been highly criticized by critics and the audience alike. Sudheer Babu invested a lot of time in his film, and he had to get prosthetic makeup done for one of his roles. He put on weight for the film, but it was all for nothing because it’s got out of theaters within three days.

Leo Movie Review – Analysis:

The Much awaited film, Leo, which has been made by Lokesh Kanagaraj starring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role got released on worldwide screens today. Let’s see whether the film has been able to match the expectations or not.

Story: Parthiban and Satya (Trisha) enjoy a comfortable life with their family, but they get subjected to continuous attacks by unknown criminal groups due to an unexpected violent incident. Is there a hidden past for Parthiban? Who is Leo Das, and what is his connection with Antony (Sanjay Dutt)? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.

Performances: Vijay portrayed a down-to-earth family man, a father of two, along with an action jero kind of persona. He did what was required for the role and entertained with his mannerisms in a few places. Trisha looked good and had a few scenes to her name, but apart from that, she did not have much scope to perform. Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautam Menon, Mysskin and others were fine.

Positives:

  • First half
  • Action Sequences
  • Anirudh’s BGM
  • Climax

Negatives:

  • Weak Plot
  • Repetitive parts
  • Flashback
  • Dragged Screenplay in Second Half

Verdict:

The film Leo is an average one-sided action thriller with a well-made first half, good action episodes, background score, and technical excellence. Still, the underwhelming flashback, repetitive scenes and single line story became negative for the film. Overall, Leo is Lokesh’s misfire in LCU.

Bhagavanth Kesari movie review: Balakrishna excels in this subtle mass entertainer

0

Movie: Bhagavanth Kesari
Rating: 3/5
Cast: Balakrishna, Kajal Agarwal, Sreeleela, Arjun Rampal
Director: Anil Ravipudi
Produced By: Sahu Garapati, Harish Peddi
Release Date: 19th October 2023

Balakrishna is back on the big screens with Bhagavanth Kesari seeking his second success of the year after Veera Simha Reddy. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, Bhagavanth Kesari has managed to create a solid buzz and with the festive holiday approaching, the makers would look to cash in on the vibe. Let’s find out whether Balayya has managed to score a hat-trick or not.

Story: Bhagavanth Kesari is a powerful police officer who takes on a corrupt politician. The corrupt politician’s son, who is a businessman, manipulates the situation to frame Bhagavanth Kesari with false charges, resulting in his imprisonment. During his time in jail, a Jailer helps Bhagavanth Kesari pay his last respects to his mother and gain his freedom. Tragically, the Jailer passes away in an accident but extracts a promise from Bhagavanth Kesari to make his daughter Viji Papa a military officer. The story revolves around how Bhagavanth Kesari fulfills this promise and seeks revenge against the businessman who wronged him

Performances: Balakrishna delivers an outstanding performance, stepping out of his comfort zone and shining. His salt and pepper look goes well with the character and the senior actor does a great job in the emotional sequences as well. Sree Leela impresses with her energetic performance and is particularly good in the second half scenes. Arjun Rampal’s performance is average and has nothing new to offer. It is the same old villain characterization with the usual tropes. Kajal Aggarwal is fine in this film but has nothing substantial in terms of role and performance.

Positives:

  • Outstanding performances by Balakrishna and Sree Leela.
  • A compelling mix of emotions and action.
  • A strong second half that stands out.

Negatives:

  • The characterization of the villain could have been more compelling
  • Some scenes in the first half lack impact.

Verdict:

Anil Ravipudi has managed to extract some new shades from Balayya and that will be a pleasant surprise for many. While there’s the usual action in the film that one expects from Balakrishna, the emotional angles work out well too. In summary, ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ is a well-stitched mass entertainer with a powerful second half and commendable performances by the lead actors.

Vijay Deverakonda’s weakness is evident in the Family Star glimpse

0

Vijay Deverakonda’s Family Star glimpse was released recently and his  weakness is evident in the video. He is undoubtedly the leading star in tier 2 Heroes and he is also has a very big craze in youth and family audience but still he is weak in mass audience the reason is somehow he is weak at delivering  punch dialogues or mass counters and in action episodes. This was already evident in his previous films like Dear Comrade, Liger and now with the glimpse of Family Star  once again his weakness was evident in delivering maas dialogues and it received mixed and negative response from the audience.

Geetha Govindam, directed by Parasuram and starring Vijay Devanakonda, was a significant success in Vijay’s career and Tollywood as well. The actor and director have reunited for a new project that features Mrunal Thakur as the female lead.

Yesterday evening the makers have officially confirmed that the film is titled Family Star. A title teaser has also been released, which depicts the film’s theme. Vijay Deverakonda says that it is not wrong if men take care of the household things like getting children ready for school and buying vegetables. But as said above he could not provide an effective impact and  Vijay Deverakonda’s weakness is evident in the Family Star glimpse.

It is clear that the makers targeted the family audience based on the title glimpse. Vijay warns some goons in a subtle manner, indicating that the film will also feature some action scenes. In this glimpse, Mrunal Thakur is shown as Vijay’s wife. In summary, the glimpse gives the impression of a family entertainer that is clean.

Under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, Dil Raju, an ace producer, backed the film, which features Gopi Sundar’s music. The movie is scheduled to be released on Sankranthi 2024.

In a flashback, Balakrishna is revealed as a formidable police officer. The film delves into how the police officer becomes a prisoner, the businessman’s past connection with Bhagavath Kesari, and the fulfillment of Viji Papa’s father’s dream, setting the stage for a compelling second half.

The movie began with a powerful story and emotional setup, but lost its momentum during the Katyayani love track and some scenes, including the Vinayaka festival. Bhagavanth Kesari: A major experiment for Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi

0

Bhagavanth Kesari is a major experiment for Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi. It is widely known that the upcoming action entertainer is the first collaboration of Balayya and Ravipudi. As far as the film’s content is concerned it is said to be made with such a nice mixture that Bhagavanth Kesari turned out to be a major experiment for Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi. Because the film has been made with a different theme for both the actor and director, according to the inside reports from the industry circles, that is why Bhagavanth Kesari is a major experiment for Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi.

Balakrishna’s films are known for aggression with extensive mass punch dialogues, mass songs, and dances. But Bhagavanth Kesari is entirely different from Balakrishna as he plays a subtle role, and there are no mass songs in the film. Also, the movie has no political or heavy mass punch dialogues. Balakrishna plays an aged character, and it will be a big emotional journey; the team shot a mass song with a remix of old films’ themes, but as it disturbed the flow, the team has removed this from the film, so the team did not want to deviate from the story which usually does not happen for Balakrishna films. Balakrishna films always have mass songs, even if it is not required.  The same can be said with Anil Ravipudi, as till now, his brand was entertainment. He always writes some separate tracks for entertainment.

But in this film, he did not write any separate comedy tracks for the film; the entertainment also comes from the story, but the central part is said to be emotion and action. Although it has commercial elements, it is a different and experimental film for Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi. As per reports, Bhagavanth Kesari is a powerful police officer, which will be revealed in the film’s flashback. This flashback sequence is very high on the action, with Balayya being in an out-and-out-aggressive mode for around 15 minutes.

Balakrishna’s characterization is said to be powerful and will have emotional shades as well. Balayya has played the role of a ruthless cop several times in his career, and it needs to be seen what new Anil Ravipudi has packed this time. Overall, Bhagavanth Kesari is a major experiment for Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi.
