While he worked as an industrial medical officer in a corporate hospital for regular income, his private practice became a selfless mission of service to society.

In recognition of his extraordinary dedication to healthcare for the poor, Dr. Veeraraghavan was posthumously honored with the Padma Shri in 2021, India’s fourth-highest civilian award.
