Allu Sirish backs less ticket prices for films

Tollywood Actor, Allu Sirish is busy promoting his upcoming film, Buddy. The film is a remake of Tamil film, Teddy starring Arya. Buddy is scheduled for release on August 2nd. The trailer of the team has already been released. Now, the team conducted a pre-release press meet today ahead of the release. Allu Sirish has interestingly backed the proposal of less ticket prices for films.

Sirish said that people were opting to watch films only in the second week to avoid paying more for tickets. He also said that this was the reason why they had fixed the ticket prices at 99 for single screens and 125 for multiplexes. He hoped that this would result in a good result for the film from the audiences. The Actor also said that he considered himself a second hero when compared to the teddy character in the film. He also said that the buddy characters uses famous dialogues of several heroes in the film. Sirish hoped that the film would entertain all in the theatres.

Gayatri Bharadwaj and Prisha Singh are playing the female lead roles in the film. Ajmal Ameer is also playing the antagonist role. K.E. Gnanavel Raja acts as the producer of the film under his Studio Green Banner.

Officially titled ‘They Call Him OG’, this is a gangster drama film starring actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan. The first non-remake film since his comeback, it is written and directed by Sujeeth Reddy of Saaho fame.

Priyanka Arul Mohan is the lead heroine, while S. S. Thaman is the music composer. The film carries enormous buzz among fans since it features Kalyan in a gangster role. Owing to his political commitments, the film has faced multiple production delays in the past year.

According to the latest buzz, the deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh has given a nod to the makers regarding shooting; having said that, OG is gearing up to go back to sets from September. DVV Danayya is bankrolling this project on a big scale.

‘Rebel Star’ Prabhas will be next seen in a horror comedy entertainer film titled ‘The Raja Saab’. Telugu filmmaker Maruthi will direct this project while S. S. Thaman has been roped to compose the background score and songs.

Coming to its cast, Malavika Mohanan and Nidhi Agarwal have been signed to play the female leads. The former is also part of Vikram‘s Thangalaan that is gearing up for a release this Independence Day. Promoting the same, the Malayali actress spoke about the kind of roles she’s looking for.

“I want to play the role of a gangster in my next film. I would love to portray a very dark role that has negative shades,” says Malavika. The Master Beauty has been in the news since the release of The Raja Saab’s glimpse.

Srinu Vaitla plans a Venky train comedy sequence again in Viswam

Tollywood Director, Srinu Vaitla once enjoyed top stardom as a director. He was also known for his comedy scenes and using Brahmanandam to the core. But he faltered afterwards with monotony and suffered big failures. The Director even stopped making films for a long time. Now, he recently okayed a film titled Viswam starring Gopichand. Srinu Vaitla has planned a Venky type train comedy sequnce again in this Viswam.

Viswam’s making video has been released today as part of promotions. The 1 minute video showed action scenes and songs filmed in foreign locations. But what surprised the most was Srinu Vaitla including a comedy sequence happening in a train in Viswam. This indicates that he is bringing back the train comedy sequence he once did in Venky once more for his latest film. Comedians, Vennela Kishore, Shakala Shankar and others were also present in this.

Srinu Vaitla was known for his comedy sense which he missed using properly in his films which resulted in flops. He seems to have concentrated on bringing them back which is evident from the making video of Viswam. Let’s hope these workout well and give him a relief atleast for now. Viswam is produced by People’s Media Factory and stars Kavya Thapar as the female lead.

Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun back in action

Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun shoot is happening at a fast pace. The film is made on a large scale budget as well and aimed as a Pan India biggie. Recently, there were rumours of Allu Arjun having a spat with Director Sukumar. The Actor was spotted taking off his beard as well igniting rumours of disinterest in continuing the shoot. But Allu Arjun is now back in action for Pushpa 2.

Pushpa 2 faced a postponement from its original date of 15th August to December 6th. Sukumar was very definite about the output of the film and hence the postponement. Rumours began when Allu Arjun was spotted with a less beard about their differences but this was condemned by the makers. Allu Arjun will join the sets from tomorrows as per sources.

However, there is no clarity about the release date even now. Many feel that the film may see a postponement again from the current December 6th date. The makers and Allu Arjun are confident about the release. The team has to finish the shoot fast as possible to end these speculations. The film will see a big release in North Indian market since the popularity of Allu Arjun and Pushpa has gone beyond expectations.

Dune-2 Telugu OTT Streaming Details!

Dune: Part Two has been one of the biggest hits from Hollywood this year. A sequel to Dune: Part One, it stars Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya in lead roles. Releasing in the month of March, it grossed over $700 million worldwide.

A third installment in the series titled ‘Dune Messiah’ has been announced lately. Coming to the OTT details, Dune-2 will be available for streaming from tonight, i.e., 1st August 2024, on Jio Cinema (with a premium subscription).

Besides the original English version, it will also be available in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali. Hans Zimmer has composed the film’s score, while Denis Villeneuve has directed it, which is an official adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel of the same name. It also features Florence Pugh and Rebecca Ferguson in supporting roles.

Jason Sanjay, the male heir of ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay, is all set to make his feature film debut in Tamil cinema; unlike other star kids, he will be introduced as a director; Lyca Productions has officially announced this project long ago.

According to the latest update, this film will feature Dhruv Vikram, the son of ‘Chiyyan’ Vikram, in the lead role. Aditi Shankar, the daughter of veteran filmmaker Shankar Shanmugham, is reportedly the lead actress.

Three songs have been released till now and while they have been received decently, they have not been able to create a massive buzz like Ismart Shankar audio created. Now it all depends on the Double Ismart trailer to create the massive buzz.

The GOAT 1st half: Vijay’s review

Tamil Actor Vijay’s upcoming film, The Greatest of All Time stylized as The GOAT is set for release on 5th September worldwide. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu. There were rumours regarding the film’s postponement but makers have condemned this. They clarified that the film would release on the scheduled date. Vijay is said to have seen the 1st half of The GOAT and gave his review as well.

The GOAT’s 1st half editing is over with complete CG and VFX effects. The team showed it to Vijay and he is said to be extremely happy with the output. The Actor felt that 1st half was excellent and also mentioned to the team that the film needed no changes. The team is now riding high with the review of Vijay.

The GOAT has done extraordinary business. Venkat Prabhu is not a happening director currently like Lokesh Kanagaraj, Nelson or Atlee. But the film’s brand is solid with the presence of Vijay. It is seeing a record price. The GOAT’s 3rd single is also set to release in this week on YouTube. Till now, the two songs didn’t make noise. Both were complete disappointments for audiences. They hope this song would satisfy them.

Chiranjeevi pushes a fan away

Tollywood Actor, Chiranjeevi was seen pushing a fan away at an Airport. The Actor was coming out of the elevator and a fan, reportedly the staff of Indigo approached him for a selfie. The fan started walking with the Actor for a distance as well. Chiranjeevi then just pushed the guy and went away. This didn’t go well with the netizens on social media platforms.

Recently the same incident happened to another Tollywood Actor, Nagarjuna. An airport staff member wanted to take a selfie with the Actor and approached him. He was thrown away by the security guards. Nagarjuna was trolled badly for this act and his negligence towards the fan getting treated badly. But he soon realized the mistake and met him personally. He even offered the fan a selfie afterwards.

It remains to be seen what happens with Chiranjeevi now. Netizens, as said are not okay with the behaviour of the Actor. They didn’t like the actor pushing the guy himself. The Actor once called the fans Stupid fellows for irritating him at an audio launch event. No apology was issued from his side then. It may happen even now in this case. It’s better if people refrain from taking selfies with Actors.
