About Tripti Dimri

Dimri is an Indian actress most notable for her impressive performance in ‘Bulbul,’ produced by Anushka Sharma, and her captivating performance in Anvita Dutt’s ‘Qala’. Tripti comes from Gharwal, Uttarakhand’s scenic mountains. On February 23, 1994, she was born into the family of Meenakshi and Dinesh Dimri.  

She graduated from Delhi Public School in Firozabad as an alumna of the DPS franchise. After graduating from Sri Aurobindo College with a degree in psychology, she pursued acting at FTII, Pune.

Producer Vijay Kiragandaru talks about Kantara 2 and Salaar

Producer Vijay Kiragandur gave an interview as part of promotions for Salaar. He confirmed that Kantara 2 will be released on a grand scale at the end of 2024 or early 2025. Practically, Kantara 2 will arrive in the early summer of 2025. He also confirmed that Salaar is not a remake or extension of Ugram and affirmed that they are two different stories.

The filmmakers unveiled the first look teaser of ‘Kantara Chapter 1 (Prequel)’ recently, creating a buzz among the audiences. The movie’s official launch, celebrated with a traditional Pooja, was held on November 27 in Kundapura, Karnataka. Shooting plans are in progress, with locations set in Sri Lanka and Udupi for the end of December or January.

Vijay Kiragandur, the film’s producer, stated in an interview that they aim to make Kantara 2 a more refined and dignified film. He shared his plans for its release in the last quarter of 2024 or the first quarter of 2025. Fans are happy that Kantara 2 release date is officially out.

About Kantara Prequel

This prequel will be directed and starred by Rishab Shetty, with many actors from the original movie also participating. This pan-Indian project is set to expand with a significant budget. Despite the ongoing shooting, Ajaneesh Loknath has returned as the music director for this anticipated movie.

Extra Ordinary Man 4 days box office collections worldwide

Nithiin’s Extra Ordinary Man was released last week to mostly poor reviews and unfavourable word of mouth. The film, directed by Vakkantham Vamsi also starred Sreeleela and was panned by critics for its poor screenplay and lack of engaging content.

Coming to collections after 4 days, In Andhra [6 Territories] the movie has collected Rs 1.15 Cr. The total Telugu states share is in the range of Rs 3Cr (including GST. The collections from rest of India and Overseas are not much and are around 40L. The total share is around 3.5Cr and it is a huge disaster. Nithiin, who was looking to make a strong comeback with this action-comedy failed to draw crowds to the theatres.

Such is the performance of Extraordinary Man that the film’s lifetime collections are projected to fall short of Macherla Niyojakavargam’s opening day numbers. Macherla Niyojakavargam itself was a box-office failure and with consecutive disasters, Nithiin needs a strong comeback. The film also stars Sreeleela, Rajasekhar, Rao Ramesh, and Rohini among others, and is directed Vakkantham Vamsi who last directed Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya, Naa Illu India.

Shah Rukh Khan is unbeatable in overseas markets

Shah Rukh Khan has undoubtedly been the Biggest Bollywood star for the last two decades especially if we consider his overseas market. Very few stars can come close to his superstardom overseas, and this has been once again proved with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.

Animal has created a massive impact both domestically as well as overseas. It has created several box-office records and has emerged as Ranbir Kapoor’s career-best grosser with the film set to collect more in coming days. Animal is now heading towards Rs 500 crore nett

The overseas gross collection is Rs 200Cr [24M+]. Half of this revenue which is $12M has been generated from North America with the Middle East being the next best region with with $4.1M+ collection. $ 3.25 million has been collected from Australia and NZ while $ 2Million+ has been collected from UK and Ireland. At this pace, the film is likely to close around $32M – $33M overseas which is outstanding.

Despite such humungous collections and better content, Animal hasn’t come any closer to Shahrukh’s recent numbers. Pathaan and Jawan are miles ahead only due to Shahrukh Khan’s superstardom. The films have each registered close to $50 Million in collections and it seems no one can break Shahrukh’s records overseas. He will be next seen in Dunki under Bollywood’s biggest director Raj Kumar Hirani’s direction and this film might also join $50 Million club if opens with positive WOM. The advance sales are excellent so far and we need to wait and watch what happens 21st December onwards.

Salaar makers applied for record ticket prices in Nizam, similar to RRR

Prabhas’ pan-India action movie Salaar is 10 days away from its release and the hype is slowly reaching its peak. Prashanth Neel and co. are confident of record openings and will be on a promotion spree over the coming 10 days.

Salaar team is looking for ticket hikes on par with those of RRR. The team has applied for a hike and special shows in Nizam. The applied prices same as RRR. The ticket prices on hike would be Rs 413 including GST for multiplexes and Rs 236 including GST for single screens. This hike will be applicable for 1st weekend.

After the weekend for the next week the ticket prices including GST are Rs 354 for multiplexes and Rs 230 for single screens. This is the first hike permission requested to the new government and we need to wait and see whether the makers receive a green light or not. As of now, the government-approved prices are Rs 295 for multiplexes and Rs 175 for single screens.

Christmas has come in early, as the biggest movie announcement of the season has just dropped. Superstars Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan are set to star in an upcoming mega pan-India action drama, makers announced on Tuesday.

The title of the massive feature, which has been kept under wraps for now, will mark Adivi Sesh’s second straight Hindi film outing after his 2022 acclaimed blockbuster biopic Major, which featured him as Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.

To carefully guard crucial details of the project but tease what is in store just enough, the makers plan to drop several assets of the film–including character posters and title reveal–in the coming days to introduce the audience to the world of the much-awaited film. 

The mega project is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, presented by Annapurna Studios and directed by Shaneil Deo, who was born and raised in the United States. 

The film will mark the feature directorial debut of Shaneil, who has previously served as the Director of Photography for several Telugu blockbusters including ‘Kshanam’ and ‘Goodachari’, which were headlined by Adivi Sesh. He also directed the acclaimed coming of age short, ‘Layla’, that was officially selected for the Cannes Film Festival.

“Every frame, dialogue, and scene of the film is being shot separately in Hindi as well as in Telugu. It is being treated differently according to the cultural nuances of each language,” the makers confirmed in a statement.

The film is co-produced by Suniel Narang, with Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo also sharing story and screenplay credits. Further details about the project will be revealed soon.
