Hanuman Hindi version sees big drop in collections

Hanuman Hindi version sees a big drop in collections. On the first week, Hanuman trended on a strong note in Hindi. On its 1st weekend, the film has collected 12Cr Net in Hindi, and it maintained a strong hold on weekdays. In total, the movie has collected 22.5Cr Net for the first week and everyone expected the 2nd week will be much bigger than the 1st week. However, Hanuman Hindi version sees a big drop in collections.

On the 2nd weekend HanuMan has collected 11.25Cr Net which is slightly lesser than 1st weekend. On the 2nd Monday the movie holds good with 2.25Cr Net but on Tuesday [12th day] the film witnessed a big drop and falls to 1.3 Cr and on the 13th day the film witnessed much more drop and collected less than 1Cr Net and the occupancies are just around 7% — 8% on 13th day.

Overall for 13 days, HanuMan’s India Net is 38.5 Cr and definitely these numbers are good, but it is not gathering collections as per the high expectations. Other Pan Indian action from South like Pushpa The Rise, Kantara, and Baahubali The Beginning maintained strong collections continuously for 3–4 weeks whereas Hanuman is not maintaining like that.

Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya are the producers. Srikara Studios is presenting the movie. Anith Madhadi is the director of photography, while Navin Nooli is the editor. Only the Hindi version of Animal has collected more than 800Cr Gross worldwide and if we put all together all versions it collected 900Cr+ Gross. So, the trade circles expected the trend to continue with the upcoming films in Bollywood.

After Animal, there were two biggies released in the same month. Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’s Salaar were those big films and though both of the films received good reviews and word of mouth, they failed to perform in the expected range.

For such crazy combos and craze, Dunki was expected to do 500Cr+ Net and Salaar was anticipated to gather 350Cr+ Net, but both movies have failed to collect even the half of the expected numbers. After these two films, the latest Indian Superhero film HanuMan carried with excellent buzz and opens with big WOM and reviews.

Everyone expected Hanuman will do more than 100Cr Net in Hindi, but now it is expected to do around 50Cr Net in its final run. Fighter, Hrithik Roshan’s big action film, is failing to get a decent opening as the bookings are poor. Somehow, all Bollywood movies have started to underperform after Animal.

Guntur Kaaram managed to create a massive hype right from the day it was announced. Film lovers all over were massively excited to see a repeat of the famous Athadu and Khaleja combo of Trivikram and Mahesh Babu. While the earlier two films were not massive blockbusters, they surely have a special place in film lover’s hearts. With Guntur Kaaram, it was expected that the Mahesh-Trivikram duo would score their much-awaited blockbuster.

Just like Khaleja, Guntur Kaaram also couldn’t stand up to the hype. While Mahesh’s stardom has managed to pull unthinkable collections, Guntur Kaaram is a classic case of a missed opportunity.

Both movies took a lot of time on set with multiple script changes. Similarly for both films, the shooting days were very less but it remained on set for a long time due to many delays and last-minute cast and crew changes.

Both movies had energetic characterisation for the hero but they lacked serious fights like Athadu. The build-up scene for fights was also not established strongly in Khaleja and Guntur Kaaram. Mixing comedy in all fight scenes has damaged both movies

Even in terms of promotions, the same mistakes were made for Khaleja and Guntur Kaaram. The promotional content was different and the actual film which proved costly for both films.

Trivikram had a great plot in both cases but he did not treat the films properly which resulted in a baked product. It was the hero characterization that managed to save these films. Box-office wise Khaleja was a failure and Guntur Kaaram did better revenues and settled up average – above average

If only Trivikram and Mahesh Babu stuck to a serious screenplay, Khaleja and Guntur Kaaram would have been huge blockbusters
