Manamey Box office: Day 2 > Day 1

Sharwanand and Krithi Shetty starrer Manamey has picked up momentum at the box office with day 2 bringing in better numbers than the opening day. The film is doing well despite mixed reviews and Sharwanand’s performance and the film’s first-half entertainment stood as major positives.

Producer TG Vishwa Prasad decided to go for own releases in all territories with great confidence. The film should collect more than Rs 12Cr share worldwide to generate profits for the producer. After 2 days, the share is in the range of 4 Cr and the Sunday numbers and subsequent weekdays are going to be extremely crucial for the film.

Directed by Sriram Adithya, Manamey is a family entertainer that also stars Vikram Adittya, Vennela Kishore, Seerat Kapoor and Ayesha Khan among others. Hesham Abdul Wahab has composed tunes for this project. Maname follows the life of Vikram (Sharwanand) a carefree youngster from London and how after an accident the responsibility of a 2-year-old child falls on him and changes his life.

Mega Family which consists of prominent heroes Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan besides Ram Charan and Allu Arjun is facing a tough time. The family had to see a bit of difference among itself once due to various reasons. But now it is not like before thanks to Allu Arjun. It all started when Allu Arjun expressed his dissatisfaction with Pawan Kalyan’s fans once. But everything was sorted out after some time. Recently Allu Arjun’s act made Mega fans very serious and they have also decided to boycott him.

Allu Arjun came forward to campaign for his friend who represents YSR Congress Party in AP. This angered Mega Fans as Pawan Kalyan is also competing in the elections through his Jana Sena Party. Chiranjeevi’s younger brother and Actor Naga Babu was also not happy and posted a tweet criticizing Allu Arjun’s behavior indirectly. Now the news is he along with other family members have decided to keep themselves away from Allu Arjun’s film activities.

It is learned that they would make themselves not involved from now. Only Allu Arjun’s fans should celebrate his films. Allu Arjun hasn’t responded yet on this issue. But He may speak about this in the future. The Actor is busy right now with Pushpa 2: The Rule.

This means the film’s theatrical run will be extremely short-lived and it will be in front of the audience on small screens in just 2 weeks of its release. With audience already thinking twice before buying tickets and coming to theatres, a movie gets released in just a couple of weeks from its release will definitely deter them from stepping into theatres in the future.

Gangs of Godavari stars Vishwak Sen, Neha Shetty and Anjali in key roles and was released to mixed reviews and talk. The action entertainer set in the 80s follows the life of Lankala Rathnala (Vishwak Sen),  his trials and tribulations of Rathnam, and his tussle with locals and those in power.

There’s no doubt that Kalki 2898 AD is one of the biggest Indian film releases of the year. Just the star cast of the film is enough to create waves across multiple industries. The biggest stars of Bollywood, Tollywood and Kollywood are part of this massive project and naturally, the film’s business will be massive. A lot of it has to do with Prabhas’ brand.

Nag Ashwin is not a big director with a brand like SS Rajamouli or Prashant Neel. Still, the bookings are going on at rapid pace. A $3 Million premier is also possible if the trailer works out well and achieves the pan-world reach that the makers are hoping for.

Undoubtedly, Prabhas is now no.1 overseas brand with every film delivering huge numbers after Baahubali. All other heroes are still struggling to get $1 Million, $1.5 Million premiers opening whereas Prbahas movies are going in the range of $2.5 Million and even $3 Million now.

This consistency in openings can be attributed to the massive budget and grand release of his recent films. However, a lot of market movements and trade circle investments on his films are happening just because of his presence in the move.

Animal’s blockbuster success has not just given Ranbir Kapoor another landmark success but has boosted the career of Tripti Dimri. Tripti has become the proud owner of a beautiful bungalow in the Bandra area of Mumbai. She is now the neighbour to Bollywood A-listers like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt among others.

Triptii’s new home supposedly includes a ground-plus-two-storey structure with a total area of 2,226 square feet and it costed her a whopping Rs 14 crores.

Triptii hails from Garhwal, Uttarakhand. She made her acting debut in 2017 with films like Sridevi’s Mom, and Sunny Deol’s Poster Boys. However, people took notice of the actor after she appeared in Sajid Ali’s Laila Majnu. Her breakthrough film was Bulbbul in 2020. She then rose to fame for her performance in Anvita Dutt’s Qala before achieving nationwide stardom with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal.

She will be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyya 3 with Kartik Aaryan and another project with Rajkumar Rao. She has also signed Dhadak 2 under Karan Johar production opposite Siddhanth Chaturvedi. The announcement of Dhadak 2 was made recently.

Indian2 Audio Falls Short of Part 1

Titled Bharateeyudu-2 in Telugu, Indian2 is an upcoming vigilante thriller starring Kamal Hassan in the lead role. Helmed by ace filmmaker Shankar Shanmugam, it is the sequel to Indian (1996). It is slated for release in July 2024.

As a part of promotions, a massive audio launch was pulled off in Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai, where the entire music album was released. While the event grabbed good attention due to the presence of multiple prominent personalities, the songs did not.

Anirudh Ravichander, the composer of Indian-2, has been receiving backlash from fans and Audinces. As Indian audio was a huge hit and a trendsetter at that time. But coming to Indian2 only two songs in the album works good. Needless to say, comparisons with Shankar‘s usual collaborator, A. R. Rahman, have also been made that have intensified the hatred towards Anirudh. Even in Telugu, the lyrical videos have clocked poor viewership on YouTube. Shankar normally takes a big care about other versions also which is missing in Bharateeyudu 2.

Cherukuri Ramoji Rao, the man who built ‘Ramoji Film City’, the world’s largest film production facility, passed away this morning. The legend (87), who was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad, breathed his last at 3:45 a.m. today.

Multiple film personalities, including filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli, have paid respect to the visionary entrepreneurs who founded the Eenadu newspaper, the largest  Telugu daily, the ETV Network, Priya Pickles, and a lot more.

As a token of respect, Ram Charan, along with the team of Game Changer, including Shankar and actor Sunil, have observed a moment of silence in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. Besides this, multiple film production companies in Hyderabad have paused their shooting work in mourning Ramoji Rao‘s death.
