Social Media has become a stage for wars and debates. What has become interesting is the actors engaging in these wars. Vishwak Sen, a Tollywood Actor has engaged in the same war with a YouTube Reviewer named Barbell Pitch Meetings. This YouTuber often roasts and gives analysis about movies and politics on his YouTube Channel. He posted an analysis about upcoming Tollywood biggies, Kalki 2898 AD recently. This has made Vishwak Sen enter into a fight with the YouTuber which trended on the internet as well.

The YouTuber compared Kalki 2898 AD with some Hollywood films and said these films were getting inspired from Hollywood. Vishwak Sen gave a reply to the YouTuber on Instagram by blaming such reviewers for the failures of films. The Actor also challenged him to make a short film with a 10-minute duration. To this, the YouTuber responded by saying that many actors rely on such reviewers for promotions of their films. He trolled Vishwak Sen for his spelling mistake as well.

One must understand that the Audiences decide a film’s fortune but not reviewers or YouTubers. Actors getting into such fights with Review writers of YouTubers is not necessary which Vishwak Sen must understand.

Pushpa 2: No threat to Rajamouli’s record

Till now, there are only two films which opened with a 200 crore gross worldwide. These are RRR and Baahubali 2 which had also touched the 1000 crore mark worldwide as well. Both these films were directed by SS Rajamouli. Now with Pushpa 2: The Rule, everyone felt this may happen again. The film was also planned for August 15th this year to cash in on the holiday season. But it appears Pushpa 2 will be of no threat to Rajamouli’s record.

Pushpa 2 as said was first planned to release on Indian Independence Day. The trade even expected the film to open with a 200 crore gross worldwide as well. But The film will now release on 6th December which doesn’t have a holiday advantage. So it will be a big task to cross the 200 crore mark of Rajamouli’s films. The film may end up crossing the 100 crore gross mark worldwide easily.

The director of Pushpa 2, Sukumar is very much concentrated on the output of the film hence the postponement. Allu Arjun too doesn’t want to force Sukumar for the release date. Two songs from the film have already been released and met with good reception also.

Trivikram’s Son To Debut In Vijay Devarakonda Film!

One of the most prolific filmmakers of Telugu cinema, Trivikram Srinivas, was recently spotted at Tirumala temple with his spouse Soujanya and two sons. The eldest of them, Rishi, is reportedly entering the film industry very soon.

Accordint to a reliable source, this young lad will work as an assistant director to Goutham Tinnanuri, who has been signed to direct Vijay Devarakonda. Tentatively titled #VD12, this action drama stars Sreeleela as the female lead.

Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to compose the film’s tunes, while Sithara Entertainments is bankrolling this venture on a massive budget. Vijay’s alleged girlfriend, Rashmika Mandanna, is rumoured to be part of this project. Other cast and crew details are yet to be announced by the makers.

Kalki 2898 AD Poised for All-Time Record in America

SS Rajamouli’s action blockbuster RRR is the biggest opener in the USA for Indian cinema. Released in 2022, it opened with a $3.4M opening for premiers. Now Kalki 2898 AD’s pre-sales have already crossed $1.6 Million for premiers and there are high chances for the film to break RRR premiere record.

If Kalki opens with a positive word of mouth, then definitely North America premiers+ opening day will be in the range of $5 Million. So far, only RRR has opened with a $5 Million opening day in America and Kalki has a high chance of joining this club.

Kalki has received its censor certificate and has been awarded with an U/A rating with the runtime being around 3 hours. This Nag Ashwin project has managed to create great curiosity despite weak promotions and now all eyes are on the pre-release event. The film has a star-studded cast with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan essaying key roles.

The director of the film, Koratala Shiva is also working hard to bounce back from his previous debacle, Acharya. ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi is currently enjoying the success of his recent release, Maharaja (2024). Released amidst modest expectations, it received positive reviews upon release and has been performing really well in both Tamil and Telugu.

In a media interaction, he thanked the Telugu audience for such a huge response. When asked, Sethupathi revealed that he’s aware of the plot of the Ram Charan-Buchi Babu Sana project and praised the writing prowess of the latter. He went on to say that it was going to be a ‘sureshot blockbuster’.

Prabhas’ pan-India sci-fi action film Kalki 2898 AD is just a few days away from its release. The current booking trends are giving all signs of a record overseas premiere. The film has completed its censor screening amongst unanimous positive reports.

The film has been awarded with an U/A certification and has a runtime of around 3 hours. The reports from the censor team are extremely positive especially and the visuals have received special appreciation and the audience will experience a never before extravaganza in the history of Indian cinema. Apart from the VFX, the drama, and action episodes have also come out quite well.

Coming to the pre-release event, the Kalki 2898 AD team initially planned the event in Amaravati but due to some reasons, it’s now moving to Hyderabad. The Kalki 2898 AD pre-release event is likely to happen this Sunday.

Made on a massive budget, the film has been directed by Nag Ashwin while veteran producer Aswini Dutt has bankrolled it. The pan-India biggie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan along with several surprise cameos from stars from Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam industries.
