Manamey: Most awaited OTT release

Sharwanand’s Manamey received a decent talk from reviews and audiences. It did a fine job at the Box office. As the reviews were positive and the movie was visually appealing with Sharwanand and Kriti Shetty in, lead people are eagerly waiting for OTT streaming.

Usually, all films are streamed within 4 weeks. But in the case of Manamey, 8 weeks have passed and still, there’s no OTT release. The delay is said to be because of some financial reasons. The movie’s digital rights deal was negotiated with both Amazon Prime Video and Disney + Hotstar. Now, the deal has been finalised and it will stream on Disney + Hotstar.

Directed by Sriram Adithya, Manamey is a family entertainer that also stars Vikram Adittya, Vennela Kishore, Seerat Kapoor, and Ayesha Khan among others. Hesham Abdul Wahab has composed tunes for this project. Maname follows the life of Vikram (Sharwanand) a carefree youngster from London and how after an accident the responsibility of a 2-year-old child falls on him and changes his life.

Mahesh Babu praises Raayan

Tollywood Actor, Mahesh Babu has tweeted praising the recently released Raayan starring Dhanush. The film received positive response from the audience and performed well in the weekend as well. Mahesh appreciated the performance of Dhanush as stellar. He even praised SJ Suryah, Prakash Raj and Sundeep Kishan who played pivotal roles in the film. The Actor congratulated the team on the success as well.

Raayan also written and directed by Dhanush grossed more than 70 crores worldwide in the first weekend which is indeed a good performance. The film is also expected to join the 100 crores by the end of the second weekend. Now, with Mahesh Babu’s tweet, the film may find some audience from the Telugu States. Mahesh Babu usually tweets in high regard of the films that he likes. He continued it even with Raayan which no one expected.

Dhanush too thanked Mahesh Babu for his tweet. He said that his team was thrilled for his tweet. On the other hand, Mahesh Babu is currently busy preparing himself physically for his upcoming film with SS Rajamouli. The film will be made on a large scale budget and release as a Pan India biggie. This film will go on sets very soon this year.

Chinmayi controversy targets Mahesh Babu

Tamil Singer, Chinmayi often becomes part of controversies. She uses social media aggressively leading to confrontations with many netizens and trolls later. She was even banned from working in Tamil Film Industry for her fight over sexual allegations in the Industry. Recently, Chinmayi started a big controversy by describing an incident that occurred for her husband. Even further, she targeted Mahesh Babu for one of his older tweets.

Chinmayi posted with a picture explaining an incident where her husband was rejected permission to kiss his own daughter. She said that her daughter didn’t want her father to kiss and vehemently said No. This received widespread criticism from the netizens who felt that Chinmayi was going overboard. Apart from this, she has pulled Mahesh Babu surprisingly. Chinmayi quote tweeted one of Mahesh Babu’s tweets with his son Gowtham saying that heroes’ sons would land up when idiots are abound.

However, she later deleted the tweet as the contexts are different and netizens attacked wildly. With this, Chinmayi has strirred a greater controversy. It’s better if Chinmayi stops involving in controversies very often.

టాలీవుడ్ స్టార్ హీరోల్లో ఒకరైన ఐకాన్ స్టార్ అల్లు అర్జున్ తొలి సినిమా నుండి నటుడిలాగా మంచి పేరుతో పాటు సక్సెస్ లతో కొనసాగుతున్నారు. ఇటీవల త్రివిక్రమ్ తీసిన అలవైకుంఠపురములో మూవీతో కెరీర్ పరంగా పెద్ద సక్సెస్ సొంతం చేసుకున్న అల్లు అర్జున్ దాని అనంతరం సుకుమార్ తీసిన పుష్ప ది రైజ్ మూవీతో పాన్ ఇండియన్ రేంజ్ లో మంచి పేరుని అలానే అందులో అద్భుత నటనకు గాను నేషనల్ అవార్డ్ ని సొంతం చేసుకున్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం దానికి సీక్వెల్ గా రూపొందుతోన్న పుష్ప 2 లో నటిస్తున్నారు.

అయితే ఇటీవల ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ఎన్నికల్లో భాగంగా వైసిపి నంద్యాల అభ్యర్థి శిల్పా రవి చంద్రశేకిషోర్ రెడ్డికి ప్రత్యేకంగా కలిసి మద్దతిచ్చారు అల్లు అర్జున్. దానితో పలువురు మెగా ఫ్యాన్స్ లో ఆ ఘటన పై అసంతృప్తి ఏర్పడడంతో పాటు అనేకులు ఆయన పై విమర్శలు చేసారు.

తాజాగా ఆ ఘటన పై ఒక మీడియా ఇంటర్వ్యూలో భాగంగా నిహారిక కొణిదెల మాట్లాడుతూ, వ్యక్తిగతంగా ఎవరి అభిప్రాయాలు, ఇష్టాలు వారివని అయితే దాని పై కుటుంబంలో ఎవరికీ ఎటువంటి వ్యతిరేకత లేదని అన్నారు. కాగా ఆమె మాటలను బట్టి మెగా ఫ్యామిలీ అంతా కలిసి ఉందని అర్ధమవుతోంది. అయితే అప్పట్లో దీనికి సంబంధించి నాగబాబు పరోక్షంగా వేసిన ట్వీట్ ని తాజాగా కొందరు అల్లు అర్జు ఫ్యాన్స్ ప్రస్తావిస్తున్నారు. మరి రాబోయే రోజుల్లో ఈ అంశం ఇంకెన్ని మలుపులు తిరుగుతుందో చూడాలి.

తమిళ వెర్సటైల్ యాక్టర్ ధనుష్ హీరోగా ఆయన స్వీయ దర్శకత్వంలో తెరకెక్కిన లేటెస్ట్ యాక్షన్ ఎంటర్టైనర్ మూవీ రాయన్. ఈ మూవీలో సందీప్ కిషన్, కాళిదాస్ జయరాం, దూశారా విజయన్, అపర్ణ బాలమురళి, ప్రకాష్ రాజ్ తదితరులు కీలక పాత్రలు చేయగా సన్ పిక్చర్స్ సంస్థ పై కళానిధి మారన్ గ్రాండ్ లెవెల్లో నిర్మించారు.

ఇటీవల ఆడియన్స్ ముందుకి వచ్చిన రాయన్ మంచి టాక్ ని సొంతం చేసుకుని ఇప్పటికే గడచిన నాలుగు రోజుల్లో ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా రూ. 85 కోట్ల గ్రాస్ ని సొంతం చేసుకుంది. అందరినీ ఆకట్టుకుంటున్న ఈ మూవీకి త్వరలో సీక్వెల్ రానున్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. ముఖ్యంగా ఈ మూవీని పరిశీలిస్తే ఇందులో ధనుష్ తల్లితండ్రుల జాడ తెలియకపోవడం, ప్రకాష్ రాజ్ తండ్రిని ఎవరిని చంపారనేది చూపించకపోవడంతో క్లైమాక్స్ సన్నివేశాలను బట్టి రాయన్ కి సీక్వెల్ ని హింట్ ఇచ్చినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.

అయితే పక్కాగా ఇది ఎప్పుడు రూపొందనుందనే దాని పై మాత్రం మేకర్స్ నుండి క్లారిటీ రావాల్సి ఉంది. ధనుష్ కెరీర్ 50వ మూవీ అయిన రాయన్ మంచి రెస్పాన్స్ అందుకుంటుండడంతో ఆయన ఫ్యాన్స్ ఆనందం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.

Raayan Sequel On Cards

Dhanush’s Raayan has emerged as a major hit with the film inching towards the Rs 100 crore mark. Dhanush’s performance, action sequences, and BGM by AR Rahman received special applause from the audience and stood as the film’s major highlights.

The film was Dhanush’s 50th film and its success has come as a huge relief for the actor/director who had pinned great hopes on the project. In 4 days the film has collected close to 85 Cr gross worldwide. Discussions on the Raayan sequel have cropped up with the film’s major success.

Dhanush left some hints for a Raayan sequel in the film. The mystery of missing Dhanush’s parents is not revealed along with the one who killed Prakash Raj’s father in the road is not revealed. Even the climax had an open ending leading to heavy speculations on the sequel.

Dhanush certainly seems to be interested in doing this sequel and this might be the reason behind leaving some ends open and up for interpretation.

Jailer 2 set for official announcement

Jailer marked a massive comeback for Rajinikanth and in the film Nelson Dileepkumar gave a lead to a 2nd part. The action entertainer emerged as 2023’s South India’s biggest grosser. It managed to stay above crazy films like Leo and Salaar which also failed to beat this collection. 

Right since the blockbuster success of Jailer, Nelson is focused on the sequel and has started writing for it for part 2. Now pre-production works are in final stage and the team is likely to announce the project soon.

Jailer 2 is likely to go on sets this year’s end. Superstar Rajinikanth’s Vettiyan is set for release this year and his next project Coolie with Lokesh Kanagaraj is on set already. Post these two films Jailer 2 shooting will start. The makers of Coolie are planning to release it in the Summer of 2025 release while the much awaited sequel project is likely to be released in the 2026 1st half.

There are massive expectations on the Jailer sequel. Recently Yogi Babu confirmed that he is part of Jailer 2 also. He further revealed that just like in part one, Nelson has designed a good comedy track for him.

YouTuber fires on Manchu Vishnu

Manchu Vishnu and Youtubers’ clash has taken another turn with YouTuber King Chandrahas coming up and speaking openly about threats and strikes being orchestrated on several channels by the actor.

Earlier last week, Manchu Vishnu’s production house 24 Frames Factory had to release a statement saying they have no hand in blackmailing Youtubers for making positive videos about Kannappa. Several YouTubers had received e-mails from 24 Frame Factory demanding positive videos for Kanappa in return of releasing strikes on their channels.

24 Frames Factory released a statement in a press note saying they have nothing to do with this issue and that the e-mail was not from their official account. The note further read that some forces were trying to “derail the noble causes of Vishnu Manchu.”

Meanwhile, YouTuber King Chandrahas has claimed that these claims by Manchu Vishnu’s production house are false and that he has all the proof, call recordings, and other material that show the MAA President’s direct involvement in the issue. He has claimed that he will expose everything with proofs on his channel soon.

Vikram’s Thangalaan censor report

Vikram’s upcoming film, Thangalaan directed by Pa. Ranjith is scheduled for release on August 15th. The film has completed the shoot and the censor formalities have also been completed. Thangalaan’s censor report is out and the film has a duration of 156 minutes which is 2 hours and 26 minutes.

Thangalaan meaning the Son of Gold saw only few cuts from the censor board. The film is all set to go now. The trailer of the film has already been released and received good response from the audience. This is also Vikram’s first collaboration with Pa. Ranjith who is known for making realistic films effectively. Vikram is eyeing to score a proper hit as he is missing a solo success for years. His last hit was Ponniyin Selvan series which was a big budgeted multi-starrer and directed by Mani Ratnam as well.

Thangalaan has good chances to become a hit if the content holds well. Actor Vikram is also said to utter no words in the film. Pa. Ranjith’s previous film, Sarpatta Parambarai starring Arya received rave reviews for its content and the peformances of several actors. Now, Thangalaan may even join the list if Pa. Ranjith lives up to the expectations.
