Superstar Rajinikanth has made a roaring comeback with his latest film, Jailer. Post the debacle of his last project Annaatthe, the monstrous success of this action entertainer has given a massive boost to Superstar fans, with the film registering record collections in multiple centers. Jailer crossed the 625Cr mark and has performed exceedingly well in Telugu states and all other territories.
Jailer emerged as 2023’s South India’s biggest grosser. It managed to stay above crazy films like Leo and Salaar which also failed to beat this collection. Nelson Dileepkumar had given a big lead for part 2 in part 1 climax. For the past few months, there was a buzz that Jailer 2 is confirmed and Nelson is working on it. This massively anticipated sequel will start in 2025 beginning after Rajinikanth completes his film with Lokesh Kangaraj.
This confirmation about the Jailer sequel has now been officially made by actress Mirinaa who played Rajinikanth’s daughter-in-law in the film. In a recent interview, the actress said, “I spoke with Nelson sir about Jailer Part-2 and he said the “Script work is going on”.
I was very happy and excited I don’t know if I’m part of the movie.”
Directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar who has earlier directed projects like Vijay’s Beast and Siva Karthikeyan’s Doctor, this Rajini starrer featured a loaded star cast consisting of Mohanlal, Ramya Krishna, and Shiva Rajkumar. The film’s music by Anirudh and Superstar’s electrifying screen presence were some of the major highlights of the film.
