Devara second single update released

Devara starring NTR is one of the much awaited films of Tollywood. The film directed by Koratala Shiva is going in the right direction with a big hype. The posters and the first lyrical song created a massive craze among the audience for the film. They have been waiting for the update of second single ever since Fear Song released. Now, makers have released update about second single of Devara.

A poster depicting both NTR and Janhvi Kapoor both in romantic pose has been released. NTR was seen holding Janhvi in a forest like environment going in line with the genre of the film. Janhvi looked in her glamourous best and NTR sported a different look in the song. This look is similar to the one that leaked recently. The song will release on 5th August on YouTube.

Devara is scheduled to release on 27th September this year. The film will saw a Pan Indian release and NTR is hoping to score a big blockbuster with the film. The film’s second part has already been announced and planning is made on it too. Devara also stars Bollywood Actor, Saif Ali Khan playing a pivotal role and music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Akshay Kumar responded to the box office failures of his previous few releases on Friday, saying it is crazy that people are dismissing him simply because some of his films performed poorly. The actor stated that such statements do not disturb him and that he will continue to work hard in his three-decade career.

Akshay Kumar’s last few films, including Sarfira, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Mission Raniganj, Selfiee, Raksha Bandhan, Samrat Prithviraj, and Bachchhan Pandey, did poorly at the box office.

“I don’t worry too much about it; whatever occurs is for the best. Four-five of my films have failed, and I receive several messages saying, Sorry, yaar, fikar mat kar’ (Don’t worry, dear buddy). “I’m not dead!” he declared. “It feels like people are sending me obituary messages, similar to how people give condolences via message.

One journalist even wrote, ‘You’ll be back.’ I called him and asked him why he was saying this. What exactly does ‘back’ mean? “Where have I gone?” Kumar asked reporters during the trailer launch for his new film, Khel Khel Mein. Despite his setbacks, the zeal with which he strives to succeed is quite admirable.

Bollywood once continued to produce blockbusters every year. But it lost the sheen in the recent years. Only few films are achieving profitable result and becoming blockbusters. Most of the big budget films too are not working out at the box office. Recently two films from Bollywood, Ulajh and Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha were released and they continued the disastrous streak of Bollywood.

Ulajh starring Janhvi Kapoor and Auron Mein Kahah Dum Tha starring Ajay Devgan released today but didn’t strike the chords. Both films received bad reviews and word of mouth. Janhvi Kapoor dull phase continues with Ulajh. Ajay Devgan who recently had a big success with Drishyam 2 still has to wait for a hit.

Akshay Kumar, another Bollywood actor tasted a bitter failure with Sarfira, remake of Soorari Pottru/Aakasam Nee Haddura. The film didn’t even have a proper opening an failed miserably. All the lead actors of Bollywood right now are in a bad phase except Shah Rukh Khan who is riding high with the successes of Pathaan and Jawaan. Hrithik Roshan’s recent film, Fighter too has flopped. Bollywood is facing a competition with films from South which are becoming Pan India blockbusters. It must score resounding hits to come out of this disastrous phase.

Vijay Devarakonda’s Next Gets A Release Date!

Vijay Devarakonda was last seen in Parasuram’s romantic drama film ‘The Family Star’. Featuring Mrunal Thakur as the female lead, it was bankrolled by ace producer ‘Dil’ Raju. It received mixed reviews upon release and eventually bombed at the box office.

As announced before, Devarakonda’s next venure will be an action drama film with filmmaker Gowtham Thinnanuri of Jersey (2019) fame. Tentatively titled #VD12, it will be jointly produced by Naga Vamshi’s Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studious.

Unveiling a stunning poster that showcased Vijay in an intense avatar, the makers have announced that #VD12 will hit the screens on 28th March, 2025. It also mentioned that the film’s official title will be revealed in the month of August. Anirudh Ravichander has been roped to compose the film’s tunes.

Darling OTT streaming details

Tollywood’s romantic comedy ‘Darling’, starring Nabha Natesh and Priyadarshi, is ready to make its internet premiere. ‘Darling’, directed by Aswin Raam and starring Nabha Natesh, was released on July 19, 2024. The picture was expected to generate attention but fell short at the box office.

The plot of ‘Darling’ revolves around Raghav, played by Priyadarshi, who dreams of a honeymoon in Paris. His intentions are dashed when his fiancee elopes on their wedding day, leaving him distraught. On the point of despair, he encounters Anandhi, portrayed by Nabha Natesh. Sharing his tragic experience with her, he makes an impetuous proposal of marriage, which she accepts. However, their voyage takes an unexpected turn when Raghav learns of Anandhi’s personal difficulties.

The HanuMan brand has enabled the creators make a decent profit from streaming rights. Despite a lukewarm reception in theaters, ‘Darling’ will get a second chance to win over viewers when it becomes available for streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar on August 13.

Vijay & Meenakshi Chaudhary dance for Third Single of The GOAT

Vijay‘s upcoming film, The Greatest of All Time, stylized as The GOAT is making noise with its third single update. The song features both Vijay and Meenakshi Chaudhary dancing it out together. The poster was released where Vijay was holding Meenakshi in a romantic pose. Composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the lyrical song will be released tomorrow at 7 PM on YouTube.

Till now, two songs were released from the film which disappointed the fans and audience. The songs were not upto mark. Fans hope that the third single will satisfy them. The song appeared to be on the lines of Jimikki Ponnu of Vijay’s previous film, Varisu. This song became a big chartbuster instantly and received great praise for the dance composition and sets as well.

Vijay looked with a different look in the song. He plays two roles in the film which were revealed officially in the glimpse as well. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The GOAT will release on 5th September this year amidst great hype and expectations from the fans and audience. Vijay will work for only film after this and move on to politics officially. He plans to compete in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections.

Trisha’s foray into the digital world has been a much-awaited one. The star actress is making her OTT debut with the crime thriller ‘Brinda’. The eight-episode Sony Live web series features an exciting star cast with Trisha headlining the show as Brinda. She is joined by talented Ravindra Vijay, versatile Indrajith Sukumaran, and senior actors Jayaprakash and Aamani.

Story:

Brinda (Trisha) is a sharp and intuitive sub-inspector who’s on a mission to investigate a crime. As she unravels the mystery alongside her colleague Saarathi (Ravindra Vijay), she finds out that the game is much bigger than she imagined and has a link to her troubled past. During her investigation, she comes across Thakur (Anand Sami) and Anand (Indrajith Sukumaran) who plays a key role in the scheme of events. What is this massive revelation and how her past plays a crucial role in the investigation is unraveled in a series of 8 episodes.

Performances:

Trisha brings great ease and intensity to Brinda. She completely immerses herself in the character and doesn’t let her star image take over. Trisha has done complete justice to her character and showcases her vulnerabilities, spontaneity, resilience, and courage all in one character with terrific ease. Ravindra Vijay as Saarathi is another big plus point of the show. His performance as a police officer torn between duty and ambition is great and the makers showed great character development for Saarathi. Indrajith Sukumaran, Jayaprakash, and Aamani are dependable as ever while Rakendu Mouli adds great depth to the proceedings with his mature performance. Anand Sami makes a strong impact with his portrayal of Thakur, a character with a traumatic past.

Analysis:

The basic premise of Brinda sets it apart from other crime thrillers. The show is not a usual cop and criminal investigative drama. It delves into deeper themes like superstition, religion, and their impact on the modern world. Another special mention must go to the realistic locations and reliability of the show. Brinda is primarily shot in the Secunderabad suburbs which is a huge relief from the portrayal of Hyderabad in some recent movies and web series. While the show starts on a gripping note, multiple unnecessary sub-plots like Brinda’s relationship with her sister and the track it follows dilute the thrill. In addition to that, the predictable twists and plot reveals further dampen the viewing experience. The writing that was slick and pacy in the beginning episodes becomes slightly tiresome and cliched towards the end episodes.

Brinda could have been an absolutely thrilling experience from beginning to end had the makers explored more on the core premise of superstitions and their impact on society. While the show manages to capture your imagination in the initial episodes, it keeps you hoping for more in the later episodes which, unfortunately, never happens. Overall, Brinda is a decent watch if you’re someone who enjoys crime thrillers.

Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming VD12 first look released

Tollywood Actor, Vijay Deverakonda is currently busy with his upcoming film, tentatively titled, VD12. This film is directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, fame of Jersey and produced by Naga Vamsi under his Sithara Entertainments banner. Recently, Vijay was seen with a semi-bald look look with a thick beard and that was stunning. Now, the same look was featured in the first look poster of VD12.

The first look poster felt fierce and Vijay Deverakonda was seen screaming likely to be in the middle of a fight sequence. This kind of a film and genre is the first for Vijay. Gowtham Tinnanuri who made a soft film, Jersey really brought in an unbelievable set up with this film. VD12 release date was also confirmed in this poster on 28th March, 2025. This indicates that the film is being planned as a Summer release.

Vijay Deverakonda who last tasted a bitter failure with Family Star looks to bounce back hard. Family Star directed Parasuram failed miserably at the box office. The film was completely rejected on the opening day itself and became a big embarrassment for the Producer Dil Raju as well. The last hit for Vijay happens to be Geetha Govindam which released way back in 2018.

Samantha’s Citadel – Trailer & Streaming Details Out!

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s first television appearance happened with Prime Video’s Family Man, an action drama series starring Monoj Bajpayee in the lead role. It received high acclaim from critics, particularly for the performances of the lead actors.

Basking in its success, she went ahead to sign a new web series for the same streaming company. Titled ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, it features Varun Dhawan and Samantha in lead roles. A spin-off of the American show Citadel, it is created by Raj & DK, the makers behind the highly- successful Family Man series.

This Hindi-language action thriller will premiere on Prime Video on November 7, 2024. As a part of promoting the same, a trailer has been unveiled that promises a gripping entertainer. The series also features Simran, Saqib Saleem, and Kay Kay Menon in supporting roles.
