Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara has been enjoying a jolly time at the box office. The movie has opened to a record breaking extraordinary weekend, the highest in Kalyan Ram’s career by a long margin. The bookings are steady and there are no signs of stopping the film.
To celebrate the success of Bimbisara, the makers organised a success meet for the movie. During the success meet of the film, ace producer Dil Raju gave an interesting update about the OTT release date of Bimbisara.
Being the head of the Active Producers Guild, Dil Raju’s words hold a lot of value. Owing to this, he often voices his opinions freely. A couple of months ago it was decided that it would be mandatory for all Telugu films to follow a minimum OTT gap of 4 weeks, which is still under place.
But some films that do very well at the box office have longer gaps in terms of OTT release. In view of Bimbisara’s success, Dil Raju has stated that the film wiill only release after 50 days. This means that there is a solid 8 week gap. This is an interesting choice by the team since Bimbisara is pulling a lot of audiences to cinema halls.
