Vaa Vaathiyaar (Annagaru Vostaru in Telugu) saw multiple postponements and was scheduled for a release on 12th December. But at the last minute, the movie was postponed due to pending financial issues, which resulted in pressure from the OTT and a headache for Karthi’s film.
The team has yet to announce the release date, and the fans hope that it will quickly resolve the issues and arrive in theaters. Vaa Vaathiyar’s digital rights were bagged by Prime Video, and the streaming giant is said to be disappointed with these postponements, as they continuously need to reshuffle the slots.
Now, the pressure from the OTT platform, Prime Video, is mounting on Karthi’s film, Vaa Vaathiyar, as it wants the movie to release in December, or else they will cancel the deal. If this deal gets cancelled, then it will be another big burden for the movie’s team.
Currently, the film’s producer is trying to resolve the financial hurdles and plans to release it on Christmas.
