After receiving a blockbuster theatrical and OTT reception, Vijay Sethupathy’s action thriller ‘Maharaja’ is all set to release in China tomorrow. The movie was screened for premiers from 23rd November till today to unanimous applause. The film has received a great premiere response over these days with solid footfalls.

The total 5 days premiers’ footfall figures are approximated to be around 115K with a gross of $630K [Rs 5.3 Cr]. This is an excellent start both in terms of premiere collections and footfalls. We need to see how it trends from tomorrow. If the movie holds strong collections then the final China box-office collections could be massive.

Maharaja was released earlier this year on June 14th and received great critical acclaim and audience appreciation. It was a landmark 50th movie for Vijay Sethupathy and was made on a medium budget but ended up with huge profits in all the territories. Maharaja went on to gross 100 crores plus during its theatrical run and emerged as one of the biggest and most iconic movies of Vijay Sethupathy’s filmography.
