The Government of Telangana has officially cancelled the special ticket hike permissions for Pawan Kalyan’s OG. As per the latest memo issued by the Hyderabad City Police and the Home Department, the film will now continue with regular ticket prices as per the old government order.
This decision follows the Hon’ble High Court’s orders dated 26-09-2025 in W.P. No. 29214/2025. The government allowed premieres on 24th September with an 800 Rs and 100 Rs hike in single screens and a 150 Rs hike in multiplex screens for 10 days.
However, a lawyer named Mallesh Yadav filed a petition against hikes for Pawan Kalyan’s OG movie, for which the high court ordered to cancel the hikes.
While this move may seem sudden, it actually works in favor of OG, since the weekend rush is now over and regular pricing will help maintain steady footfall during weekdays.
However, this decision is expected to affect future big films. With special shows and ticket hikes now unlikely, upcoming films may have to rely more on content and timing rather than premium pricing strategies.
The industry will be watching closely to see how the high court’s decision influences box office trends in the coming months.
