Sai Dharam Tej’s Recent mystical thriller Virupaksha is set to make its debut on OTT. Starring Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha as the lead pair, the movie is directed by Karthik Varma Dandu. The film was released in last month, and it received a positive response from the audience and critics as well. Virupaksha became the highest grosser in Sai Dharam Tej’s career by collecting over 45 Crores share worldwide until now.
OTT Giant Netflix, which has purchased the streaming rights of the film, has announced that the film will be available on their platform from May 21, 2023. But the OTT platform did not mention the availability of the Telugu film in other languages. The film is still having a decent run in the theaters, and a few netizens felt that it is a bit early to release the film on OTT.
Virupaksha movie’s story is set in the mystic village Rudravanam where Surya comes with his mother to meet his family. He falls in love with Nandini. Love starts to blossom between them, but suddenly the village people get killed one by one in suspicious circumstances. Surya starts chasing the mystery behind the mysterious deaths of the village. How does he get to solve this mystery is what forms the rest of the story.
Along with Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha Menon in the lead roles, this movie has an ensemble cast of Ajay, Rajeev Kanakala, Sai Chand, Brahmaji, Shyamala, Soniya Singh, and Sunil. It was released in theaters on April 21st, 2023. Virupaksha is directed by Karthik Dandu and is produced by BVSN Prasad under the banners of Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings. B Ajaneesh Lokanath composed music for the film.
