Nivin Pauly signs a web series for an OTT platform. The popular actor in Malayalam cinema, will be debuting on OTT with the Disney + Hotstar series ‘Pharma’, the streaming service announced on Wednesday. The show is directed by PR Arun, the director of the films ‘Finals’ and ‘Rampunthanavaruthi’. It will be produced by Movie Mill.
“Really excited to be a part of Pharma and with the universe, it creates. I think it’s a story that must be told and shared,” Pauly, known for movies such as “Kayamkulam Kochunni”, “Bangalore Days” and “Premam”, said in a statement. Rajit Kapur, who last appeared in Shyamaprasad’s ‘Agnisakshi,’ expressed his joy in working on the project. “Excited to join ‘Pharma’, marking 25 years since my role in ‘Agnisakshi’. Eager to work with P R Arun and Kerala’s talented team. Trusting the well-prepared producers and their thorough research.”
Arun, who has previously directed ‘Finals,’ revealed that ‘Pharma’ is a story that is personally important to him. As per him, the series promises a potent blend of drama and profundity. The web series is produced by Krishnan Sethukumar, under the banner Movie Mill, the production house behind cinematic gems such as ‘Unda’, ‘Ivide’, and ‘James And Alice’. Fans will experience a top-notch viewing experience thanks to Abhinandan Ramanujam’s evocative cinematography, Jakes Bejoy’s soulful music, and Sreejith Sarang’s crisp editing. The series will air on Disney + Hotstar.
