Nithya Menon, a notable actress in South cinema, has distanced herself from mainstream commercial films to focus on content-oriented projects and television series such as Breathe Into The Shadows and Modern Love Hyderabad. However, it looks like the bubbly actor has had a change of plans.
Menon has been signed to play the lead role in a female-oriented Tamil film. Helmed by debutant Kamini, this will be a joint production of Bask Time Theatres and POPter Media. The makers have surprised fans by unveiling the film’s poster with the title ‘Dear Exes’.
In the poster released, Nithya is seen in a traditional bride avatar holding a drink in one hand and a smartphone in another. This can be decoded as a modern-day fantasy drama surrounding a young woman who has been part of multiple relationships. Besides this, Nithya is roped in as the female lead in Dhanush’s 50th film, Raayan.
