Nikhil’s Karthikeya 2 has taken the entire film world by storm in India. Since its release in theatres on 13th August, it has received love from all corners of India. It is not only doing well in the two Telugu states but it is also posting massive numbers in the North belt.
While the success of the Telugu version is believable, the success of the Hindi version took everyone by storm. The Hindi version opened to 8 Lakhs on Day 1, followed by a massive jump to 85 Lakhs on Day 3. In fact, Karthikeya 2 is outdoing Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan in many regions.
Amidst all of the box office success, there is an interesting update regarding the OTT streaming details of the film. Studio giant ZEE5 has acquired the rights to the film for a whopping price. Karthikeya 2 will only release on OTT after a gap of 6 weeks. There is ample time for the film to enjoy a dream run at the box office. The Hindi version of the film especially is growing day by day.
This mystery thriller has been directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Abishek Agarwal Arts. The film also stars Anupama Parameswaran, Srinivas Reddy, and Harsha in important roles. Kaala Bhairava is the music director.
