Right from the time of its first look release, Nani’s Dasara was compared to Allu Arjun’s Pushpa. Many felt that Nani’s look and feel of the movie has been heavily inspired by Allu Arjun’s pan-India film. In fact, the rugged look of Nani, his hairstyle, and his rural costume design all looked too similar to the Sukumar project.
Speaking about the comparisons and similarities between the two movies, Natural Star Nani revealed that apart from the fact that two movies are rooted in reality and have a raw picturization, there is nothing similar at all between Dasara and Pushpa. Pushpa belongs to another world and Dasara belongs to another, clarified Nani.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, Dasara has created solid hype and has got the trade circles buzzing thanks to its unique promotional content and teasers. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Sai Kumar, and Shine Tom Chacko among others. The movie is set against the backdrop of Singareni coal mines near Godavarikhani in Telangana.
The music for the movie has been composed by Santosh Narayanan and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Creations. The film is set to be released worldwide on March 30, 2023.
