Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is on cloud nine after the blockbuster success of Bimbisara. The film has now become his career-best grosser in just 5 days beating the full run of his biggest ht Pataas. Now with the success of Bimbisara, all eyes are now on the film’s sequel.
Kalyan Ram, meanwhile has denied an ongoing rumour that his brother NTR will be featuring in Bimbisara 2. He said that the story of Bimbisara 2 has been locked long back and they were just waiting for the response for the first installment and then only decided to go ahead with the next film.
Now with the blockbuster response to Bimbisara 1, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has decided to go ahead with part 2. Set in 500 BC, the fantasy action film follows the story of Bimbisara (Kalyan Ram) who is a cruel and power-hungry king who takes extreme measures to suppress any dissent in his kingdom.
The fantasy drama, released last week to positive reviews and excellent occupancies. Debutant Mallidi Vasisht has directed the film that also stars Catherine Tresa, Samyukhta Menon, and Vivan Bhatena in key roles. Kalyan Ram’s own banner NTR Arts has bankrolled this project with MM Keeravani lending the tunes.
