The trend of OTT platforms and web series are fast catching up with the senior heroes of Tollywood. After Venkatesh’s Rana Naidu, Balakrishna is also in talks with an OTT platform for a web series. In an interesting development, the senior hero is reportedly holding discussions with Disney + Hotstar for an exclusive web series.
Balayya is no novice when it comes to OTT. He has been hosting the successful talk show Unstoppable with Aha for two seasons now. Both seasons of the talk show brought Balakrishna closer to the audience and the fans also got to see a whole new side of Balakrishna on Unstoppable.
While web series is an entirely different ball game, it will be interesting to see how the actor-turned-politician handles it. Recently, Venkatesh’s Rana Naidu attracted controversy for several objectionable scenes and profanity. When it comes to Balayya, it will be interesting to see what route the makers take as he is not just an actor, but also an elected representative to the assembly of AP.
