2022 Sankranti was a dull affair for Tollywood. There were no major releases and the films that were scheduled for the festive season had to be postponed. Next Sankranti however is going to be quite different. There will be big-budget Tollywood movies as well as pan-India films coming out.
Prabhas’ Aadipurush is the most awaited film of this bunch. This mythological drama will have company from Vijay and Vamsi Paidipalli’s bilingual project. Now, apart from these films, NBK 107 starring Balakrishna and Shruti Haasan and Akhil’s Agent are also reported to release for Sankranti 2023 making it an exciting race.
NBK 107 is directed by Gopichand Malineni and the film is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. The film’s shoot is going on now and if the recently released teaser is to be observed, it is going to be another action-packed mass film like Akhanda.
Akhil’s Agent on the other hand has seen quite a lot of delays and has been in filming for the better part of last year. Malayalam Megastar Mammootty will play a crucial role in this film directed by Surender Reddy.
